    On one hand I’m not surprised he has this at home because it’s Alex Honnold of all people but on the other hand even for him that’s an insane setup to have in your garage.

      it's pretty new. I watched an interview from a year ago. All he had back then was a hang board xD
      I guess he decided to stay at home more. He said that he would die a lil bit inside if he couldn't go on that many adventures anymore...so this seems like he bought himself a very expensive toy that keeps him entertained.

      The north face logo is pretty visible lol, he is long been sponsored by them so I'm pretty sure they just gave him all the equipment

      He's the most famous climber in the world. The space was probably purposely built for a climbing room.

    Why is every single shot ultra stabilized so that alex's head is always in the center of the frame? It's kind of distracting.

    For those of you that don’t know, this is a 200,000 dollar home gym. Proud of Alex. Really made it doing what he loves.

      Seriously? This is is very outside of my world but nothing struck me as being at all exotic or expensive. That the wall moved so slowly and with that sorry looking interface actually seemed kinda pathetic.

    I think the edit was actually visually cool, and the tracking kind of worked in the intro. The problem seems to be that the camera was low quality and there was very little mechanical stabilization, so when they don't artificially stabilize, it's has a really low-budget feeling.

      Well, it's well within your reach. Go hit that truck stop and get yourself some knee pads will you? 20 bucks is 20 bucks. If there's a lot of trucks you can easily make an extra 200 every night with just two hours work 😂

    Could have been an amazing video. But i literally couldn't eveb listen to what he was saying cause I was actually getting motion sickness from the stabilization. Looks like you tried to track it after filming in the editing software and did too much?

    I just started making a home climbing gym in my garage.
    But all it is, is 2 by 4s screwed to the wall and ceiling joists.
    I would like to get hang boards and various things like that.

      I wonder how many companies actually make money selling climbing walls and holds. A very small group of people can afford these luxury items, and only buy once.

      He acquired a house in Las Vegas a few years ago (it's in the movie Free Solo). He has two small kids now, couldn't really live in a van any more.
