When my husband asked me to start this channel about a year and a half ago (first I argued with him and said no, because I really didn't think anyone would be interested in what an almost 50 year old had to say about fashion), after a few days of thinking I told him I would do it, but I had to buy all new handbags (inexpensive handbags). My husband has given me several lovely very high end bags throughout the years, but I told him I would never use one in a video, because I did not want anyone thinking they needed anything expensive to look good. No one should be made to feel that they need to spend money they don't have to look good. It's all about you, how you style it and your beautiful personality shining through. I am so sorry I am just now getting back to you. I felt this was such an important question to answer, i thought I had better come back to it when I could spend good time on it. I am so sorry you have had to go through all of this. I do know that all of our body's respond to different things differently. I will say my weight fluctuates because I am perimenopausal now. I stay away from sugar for the most part. I loooove my coffee and thankfully I only like it black. I eat alot of eggs with spinach, tomatos, and green onion and some cheddar cheese. One of my favorite meals when no one is home but me. Easy and healthy. I do try to give myself one day a week I can eat whatever I want. Perhaps I will do a meal idea type of video in the future, I will have to see if I can fit that in somewhere. You stay healthy and dress the beautiful body God has blessed you with. I am wearing the Levis wedgie skinny in size 26. They are super comfortable, but I will say they are a little loose in the waste, but I fell like if I go down to the 25 they will be waaaayyyyy to tight in the bottom. I am also at the age were my weight fluctuates a few pounds, here and a few pounds there, so I tend to buy two sizes of pants, so I always have something I am comfortable in. I have a few pairs of this cut of jean in 25 and a few in 26, lol.

Michelle, you pulled these recreations off nicely. I am only 5'1" and most of the time I know what works for me and doesn't. Like you, front tucks always, if not all the way tuck. V necks because of a larger chest. No bulky sweaters for me. Small purses. No horizontal stripes. I have one and I never feel good in it. Also, a couple questions for you Michelle, do you tuck the hem of your jeans under? Is the black jacket with the gold buttons double breasted or are there no buttonholes? I bought a similar one last year that is tweed. It does have buttonholes. It is a blazer, but heavy enough to wear on most cold days. I love your style and practicality. I see some fashion influencers who suggest a $1,000 pair of pants and a $500 shirt which is a turnoff for me.

When my husband asked me to start this channel about a year and a half ago (first I argued with him and said no, because I really didn't think anyone would be interested in what an almost 50 year old had to say about fashion), after a few days of thinking I told him I would do it, but I had to buy all new handbags (inexpensive handbags). My husband has given me several lovely very high end bags throughout the years, but I told him I would never use one in a video, because I did not want anyone thinking they needed anything expensive to look good. No one should be made to feel that they need to spend money they don't have to look good. It's all about you, how you style it and your beautiful personality shining through. I've never been a trendy dresser, I am more of a classic dresser. Classic pieces that fir my body. If you don't feel comfortable in it or you don't feel like it flatters you, don't wear it. I am so sorry I am just now getting back to you. I felt this was such an important question to answer, i thought I had better come back to it when I could spend good time on it. I am so sorry you have had to go through all of this. I do know that all of our body's respond to different things differently. I will say my weight fluctuates because I am perimenopausal now. I stay away from sugar for the most part. I loooove my coffee and thankfully I only like it black. I eat alot of eggs with spinach, tomatos, and green onion and some cheddar cheese. One of my favorite meals when no one is home but me. Easy and healthy. I do try to give myself one day a week I can eat whatever I want. Perhaps I will do a meal idea type of video in the future, I will have to see if I can fit that in somewhere. You stay healthy and dress the beautiful body God has blessed you with. I am wearing the Levis wedgie skinny in size 26. They are super comfortable, but I will say they are a little loose in the waste, but I fell like if I go down to the 25 they will be waaaayyyyy to tight in the bottom. I am also at the age were my weight fluctuates a few pounds, here and a few pounds there, so I tend to buy two sizes of pants, so I always have something I am comfortable in. I have a few pairs of this cut of jean in 25 and a few in 26, lol.
Love the look of the pulled up sleeves when you wear a blazer BUT I can never keep them up. What is your secret to keeping your blazer sleeves up?

Michelle, you pulled these recreations off nicely. I am only 5'1" and most of the time I know what works for me and doesn't. Like you, front tucks always, if not all the way tuck. V necks because of a larger chest. No bulky sweaters for me. Small purses. No horizontal stripes. I have one and I never feel good in it. Also, a couple questions for you Michelle, do you tuck the hem of your jeans under? Is the black jacket with the gold buttons double breasted or are there no buttonholes? I bought a similar one last year that is tweed. It does have buttonholes. It is a blazer, but heavy enough to wear on most cold days. Hello Kathy! I am soooo glad you liked it! The blazer is double breasted, and it is a little heavier. It is a Zara. To me Zara is a hit or miss, but this blazer is just lovely! The shoes are in the LTK links for each outfit in the description box. I try to do links for Amazon and LTK. That way if people are needing the two day shipping and sometimes more affordable option they can buy similar items from Amazon.
