Beautiful idle, i have a Tomei myself but like others, the rasp on it has gotten, wouldn’t say unbearable but I do want a deeper tone. Do you have any videos of you revving with this setup or no? I’d like to hear it because I’ve been thinking for months to go with the ART pipes with my single exit. BTW I love the tire lettering lol
Thank you! I definitely have some videos of me revving but I’m not going to post them one at a time. Need to figure out how to clip videos together for a compilation first.
@@mohamadkhan9899 Interested in switching to PPE long tube headers in the coming weeks, installing BC Racing coil overs, installing ported upper and lower manifolds, and then a retune. After that I’m really not sure. I don’t think I’ll turbo it.
@@HirschPower I was looking into PPE’s too, my boy has them installed on his Z, hasnt tuned it yet but feels way better throttle response. Me personally id go for the Z1 headers along with the ART pipes. The PPE’s made his more on the raspy side. I wanted to turbo but I want mid 500 range whp but yet a little more “reliable”, look into the SOHO A2A supercharger.
@@mohamadkhan9899 I thought about the Z1 headers, but personally I think it you’re gonna spend the money for headers, it would be better bang for buck to just go with the LTH. Also, is there any way you can link me his socials? I can’t find any videos of the PPE headers on UA-cam.
Sounds crazy aggressive on start up. I have a tomei for my 350Z and I plan on getting ART pipes soon. Also bro you should check your exhaust hanger or something cause that Tomei is lowwwww affffff idk how you drive without scraping it on every bump haha. Dont want to damage the expensive exhaust, you know?
I’m about to do the opposite. I’m removing mine and installing PPE long tube headers. The Tomei is the 350z Tomei, so clearance isn’t the best. In this video it was hanging much lower than usual, because I didn’t have a hose clamp installed to raise it. I agree, I would like to keep it perfect, but that’s simply not possible. If you want it to be perfect put it on your wall to look at, not your car😂.
Wouldn’t say there were problems, but it did take a very long time to get decent fitment. We adjusted it so that the tip that exited the bumper wouldn’t touch the bumper at all, which made the rest of it hang extremely low. As a result, it scraped once or twice and then flexed in whatever direction it wanted to. The bad thing was that in order for it to look good while exiting the rear bumper, it had to hang so low that it was almost unusable on the road due to scraping. Next time my friend and I adjust it I’m just going to get it as high up as possible and have it touch the rear bumper, because you can’t see that it is touching/burning unless you are up close and sitting on the ground. I would still recommend the 350 Tomei over the 370 unless you have a base model bumper.
@@TacticalJay. I wouldn’t say it extends perfectly, but the issue of burning your rear bumper will be a much smaller issue. I think I would go with the regular 370z Tomei so you don’t have to worry as much about scraping the pipes.
Switched to Tomei because I found that after 9 months of using the Motordyne, I didn’t get the same excitement from the exhaust note that I did during the first month or two that it was installed. Also, the exhaust is so stupidly expensive. I sold the complete E370 exhaust with all the scratches for $1,400, and purchased my brand new Tomei for around $1,500. So basically a brand new exhaust for $100.
@@HirschPower that's great to hear! I personally can't get used to the single exit and the only exhaust sounds I like so far are AAM 3 inch TD or Motordyne, I might try out tomeii hows the rasp? Also love the car can't wait for sound clips of the tomeii!
@@JoseMendoza-ll8ot I felt the same way that you do about the fact the Tomei is a single exit, and I was very strongly against it, but I found that after a week of having it installed I began to not really even think about it. I can only hear it occasionally when I let off the gas and am slowing down to a stop in second gear.
@@HirschPower 100% the ART pipes clean it up. It's the only setup I think I enjoy with Tomeii so I'm probably going to choose this route. Also 40+ lbs weight reduction in comparison to dual setup! :D
@@JoseMendoza-ll8ot You’re right about that too. The Motordyne Shockwave was so heavy, but I could hold the entire Tomei with one hand. Also, if you have a Nismo, purchase the 350z Tomei.
@@cavemanchurch2788 I’m not sure, the previous “Y pipe” that I had was the one that comes as part of the Motordyne Shockwave E370.
