I don’t think any of the outfits were bad at all! All I have to say is that I went to high school in the 80’s!🤦🏻♀️
As a 40+ year old who was in her 30’s during that time, modest clothing was not an affordable option and extremely hard to find. So your outfits reflected what was being sold in stores at the time. Nothing wrong with anything you were wearing. I’m sure you will look back at some of your videos 10 years from now and laugh as well!

I wore a tank top shorts and my dad’s Hawaiian shirts open most of elementary school. I have no regrets. I still wear it ;)

Fashion changes, usually for the better. But you were definitely on trend for the time. I am probably your mom's age, or pretty close. In high school I wore baggy jeans, gauze shirts, high heeled clogs and feather earrings...🤣. The 80's were a strange time for fashion!

Great video! Love the sandals on the Great Wall. I went to high school in the 70’s, so we are talking mini-skirts and psychedelic colors, glad I don’t have photos of that!

All I keep thinking is Dana! Where are the Great Wall of China flip flops when you’re at the beach?! Oh the irony!
I still miss the “baggies” slouchy socks BUT the gem was wearing multiple colored slouchy socks and alternating the colors so that they did not mirror right to left leg. I wanna insert a photo here 🤣

Oh hunny, it was popular in my middle school days to wear lime green corduroy flared pants! My best friend and i had matching ones. We wore them all the friggin time. Lol. When i see pictures now, i was like wtf was i thinking?! This was in the mid 90's.
What a fun video. I have many unattractive photos because I was 55 pounds heavier . I try to avoid looking at them. I guess the best outfit was the great wall of China in flipflops.😊

Girl you’re being much too hard on yourself. We’ve all had these moments. I came up in the era of big bangs and baggy jeans.Recently I came across a pic of me at like 16 when I was wearing shorts and mixed color neon socks. Like ugghhh!!! But hey, we all grew up in a different eras where we thought certain things were cool. And hey we stand behind it just like I stand behind my neon socks 😅😅😅

I bet it was hot and muggy in China walking up and down the Great Wall! You wanted to be comfortable ❤ Also agree with the comment about how we all wore what was available to us in stores-unfortunately hard to find longer shorts back in those days ugh 😆
That was fun, what I took from this, was younger Dana made a few poor choices re footwear, more really the occasions when to wear what ! Still think you looked cute & on trend for the time, no doubt we all have similar photos in our archives. How nice is it though to remember the memories & smiles of the day . xx

I love the last outfit your first time going to London and sometimes I'll put on the outfit and think it looks good and then I'll look at it later in the picture and think what was I thinking hmmm🤔

Fun video! Most of the outfits were normal for that time period. Even back then, you showed an interest in fashion. When we look back in time, we’re always embarrassed by what we wore. The real problem was probably your footwear. 😂. When I went to school in the 60’s and 70’s, we wore miniskirts but it was hard to get of the house wearing them so I always rolled the waistband a few times on the way to the bus stop so that my skirt was short enough and of course did the opposite on the way home.

I am curious, though, what is the oldest piece of clothing you own? Is there a piece you’ve just hung on to for whatever reason? Or are you the “get it out of here” type?

I don't think that any of these outfits were bad at all. Now just your taste is different, the fashion is different, probably the world is more open because of social media and ect.
Before years, every young lady in my country loved to wear black outfits, the makeup was ugly... Now everything looks different. Of course now we also have more of european and worldwide famous brands here.

You were still cute and the short shorts are still being worn, so don't beat yourself up. Your last photo with the over the knee boots is very stylish but I have to wonder if you had to remove your shoes through TSA and if so, that couldn't have been fun. When I look back at what I used to wear and thought I was so stylish, I am thankful there were no cell phone cameras flashing. I wore my dresses soooo short I wonder how I ever managed.

I don't understand this. There is no need to roast yourself for what was in fashion at the time. I grew up in the 80's and I love looking back on the clothes and hair. Embrace it!
