When you use the word "fun" 7 times to express the loss of feelings, I guess it wasn't that fun... I was content seeing a reaction where you were a bit uncomfortable, it gave it real value, as it wasn't fake and just kind towards a band that we all know you love... Not saying that it wasn't a nice, vibey song on its own accord, of course, and well done to EC / Conquer for the collab

What I love about EC currently is the fact they're just having fun and you can feel that. They don't try to please anyone, they don't try to fit a certain image. Every song feels like, they woke up felt a certain way that day, did it and then they're pumped what the next day brings. Their older stuff was geniously good already, but now, with Nico, they really took it up a notch and revisiting their and our youth - i think - is exactly what makes them so incredibly attractive to us right now.

@@blakerunyon8523 Let me tell you why: Because of youtube copyright system. Nik seems to get over it easily somehow, but I know a few reaction youtubers (I tried it myself too) and without stopping every few seconds, youtube just marks the video as demonetized/blocked in some countries/block to the entire world. And it's infuriating. It's just a way to prevent this from happening. I tried recording 7 reactions in the past, and when I uploaded them on youtube - 5 of them were completely blocked for this exact reason. When I cut out most of the song and left me speaking - the videos were totally fine. I gave up easily after that
They need to make a music video that takes place in a deli with a food fight.

this went from blink-182 and MCR and ADTR to Avril Lavigne and Paramore to Billie Eilish to MGK and modern pop music for a second and then like a mix of all.. this is really amazing!

Are they out of their comfort zone though? Pop punk is very much an intersection of what they have recently been doing. Additionally, they grew up in the era of pop punk so they'd be familiar with it
@@Dr.Spatula could argue they're not completely out of their comfort zone as such but definitely not something they've performed, wrote in the past and are away ftom their usual electro metal what ever genre you'd class them 🤣 also could be more of a comfort zone of what gets them the listens/views consistently personally I would prefer to listen to their other stuff than this.

Honestly they could do literally any kind of rock music and still sound good when they give their own spin on it.
This just shows the versatility of the band and how they can basically write a 5* song in any genre. Now I want to hear BaroqueCore!

This one is extra rare bc Kevin is playing the keys in this one. Now, as the die hard Spandau Ehre fans already know, Kevin does actually do all of those catchy key licks. It’s in all the recordings and live it’s running along with the click-track. You never see him doing this before, mostly bc he’s always the screamer, preforming as a dual frontman. But , next to being the funny tough guy, he is versatile. First time on cam in a clip doing his “band-musisian job” and still with his grunts underneath Nico’s cleans where ever needed. I’d say the most underrated screamer in the Metalcore scene!
I want them to collaborate with a Japanese band named 'Fear, and Loathing In Las Vegas'. If anyone reading this knows them, you know that shit will be a banger

Never thought I'd see them go pop punk but I'm there for it! Definitely has their fun factor so makes sense in that way.

.......they did a whole band name change to appeal to the Eurovision Song Contest. Did a whole fuzz about how "Eskimo" is such an offensive word. They started doing more and more pop stuff and generic rock crap to be able to be played on the radio. They still got declined by the Eurovision Song Contest and now they are stuck with the hole they dug themselves into. They suck ever since they got that new singer that cant even scream.

And the hate for such behavior is just fine and righteous. In Germany we call such people "Heuchler" and spineless. And thats it actually.
@@DiamondDead if they would've sold their souls they would've made a song like Fuckboi for the ESC. But they went for 'Pump it' which is still relatively heavy for what they have planned with it and ESC.

keep their name, keep their singer, have a spine, don't bow for money the mainstream and fame, sing in chinese, they can't fly, stick to their roots, enter the ESC woah i just quit it here, i guess you got the message could do this all day. I was thrown off big time by the way Electric Callboy usually throw down, but man, I was one of those pop punk skater kids jamming to Blink and Sum 41 back in the day. This just hit all the right nostalgic feels. Also, Conquer Divide SLAYED.

EC simply cant miss. Lead for Conquer sexy AF too. They sounded great as well. Definitely 00s vibe and im here for it. I too wa waiting for a small Kevin breakdown somewhere but I knew there would be a mix of sounds on this album and i cant wait to see them live

this is my favorite since we got the moves. it's simple but refreshing and well made, and I love the harmonies and everything.
I stumbled across this band in my feed a few months ago and they’ve quickly become one of my favourite bands currently. I love they’re variety and their goofiness also, nothing but a good time!!

that nostalgia hits hard but that song leaves nothing but a good, warm feeling. EC is some kind of Dr. Feel good. I like this especially in those though times.

EC Said they can make an MGK song too, only they do it way better.

I think the idea was to go with a pop-punk styled song with the specific title to poke fun at the MGKs of the world. I think it was highly intentional and the irony is in the quality of production and musicality.
Haha, I hate when people think like that. Pastiche is not the same thing as parody. They're doing this because they want money. That is the point. There is no irony, it is just them trying to get actual zoomer Spotify numbers, not just "good for metal".

In the industry, you make songs by stealing two things. This song is 2003 by As It Is and Bite Me by Avril Lavigne smashed together, played by Eskimo Callboy, with the added twist of the Somebody I Used To Know dynamic.
Literally, check them out. The double chorus thing and video is 2003 and she literally steals the entire melody of Bite Me by Avril.

So fucking awesome to see Conquer Divide rocking it with the guys! Those girls go hard, awesome to see both bands tell a fun story and bring back the fun 2000's vibes.
This was my introduction into Electric Callboy over the last month or so. I've listened to more of them and found like five or six songs I absolutely love.
I was on the set! It was such a great experience and the Boys & Girl were down to earth! Didn't expect that it was this funny!

I already watched the official video but I'm always hyped to see other peoples reaction but while watching your reaction I notcied that I got the exact same shirt as pascal (you can see it best at 0:25) just this kind of squilly written and white "fuck" sprayed over with that pink spray paint. Well seems like it wasn't the wrong decision to buy it lol

This is perfected “electric call boy” they’re not only finding their sound now but have also been trying to find it for 13 years I’ve been listing to “Eskimko call boy” since 2008-2014 when I first heard about them the fact that they’re going on longer than my family relationship is crazy I love this band more than I love my family music teaches me more than they ever have
Felt very much in the same boat - enjoyed it, just not quite as much as their 'base' sound (and I live for Blink 182 still - but I get my pop-punk from others, I was quite happy for EC to give me something very different with the likes of Pump It & Spaceman)
