hoping for an FX7 and/or FC30C review
Well let's just say keith u do a fantasic review, the new fobsport defently are more user friendly than the m1.s unit which we use , range was ok along as the wind blew the right way so u not in dust all day to keep connected, and don't have a bush in line of site.
We obviously added uhfs and that sorted all the distance you could ever want.

Thanks buddy. Yes the instant one-button connection is awesome. Range is a problem for all intercoms, none of them are going to give you much more than maybe 7-800m in any consistent manner, which is obviously an issue for riding on dirt/in the bush. UHF is the answer there.
Thank you for the review! The only proper one actually! I think these Chinese mesh units will catch up to Sena/Cardo. The price difference is just to big not to ignore it. Right now the price is 110$ US for one piece and 210$ for duo on Ali.
Great video as usual! So if we have a radio setup and music like you, what happens when you hit the PTT button on the radio when you have the mesh active and the music playing? Does the music just stop and allow you to transmit? Or are you not even able to transmit via the radio when you had the mesh and music going?
Top review Keith. I have watched your previous reviews on the other Fodsport Comm units and still haven't purchased a comms set although I keep coming back to the Fodsport web site for info on their range of products. I think they have too many choices which can be confusing to which one is best for me. Cardo would be my first choice but the price is ridiculously expensive. One button connect is persuasive though.

Nice review, been using the FX6 for well over a year riding dirt bikes, been thinking about the mesh system though… only complaint on this video is the prices you gave, 3rd party is $179 AU for the FX10C
Hi there... where are you seeing $179 AUD? That is a good price. The Fodsports site prices are in USD.
Edit: For this comparison I am just going off Manufacturer's pricing, for all the brands (Fodsports, Cardo, Sena). Yes you will likely always find resellers who sell all these brands cheaper. The point remains though that the Fodsports are a LOT cheaper than the big brands, even on sale.

@@keithjob oh yeah, totally agree. And that’s why we’ve been using them instead of others that are 3 times more expensive. On eBay there’s a seller who claims to be a licensed seller, I bought the FX6 there also.

This is all nice but...
BT works just fine in a (2 rider) rider to rider scenario. Mesh in this scenario is almost pointless other than the easy pairing - but if 2 riders are paired up once then next time it is just a matter of 1 button click to connect to each other...
The real testing should be a scenario with multiple riders, 3+ or 4 riders where 2 maybe have this system but 2 have the m1s-plus, will it work with all of them being able to communicate, most likely not... and this is the problem with most intercoms....
I got the M1-Air is this an improvement over that? Volume with wind makes it hard to hear. Also does this one have "hey siri" without having to press a button?

I don't know. Cardo can apparently connect to Sena mesh but I don't know about Fodsports mesh. It's a question for Cardo support.
Nope none of the mesh are truely compatible.
Cardo Sena only connect In Bluetooth 1:1.
Cardo Sena mesh both Use 2.4ghz essentially it’s wifi.
FODsport FX10 uses Bluetooth to create its mesh.
Cardo and one assumes Sena, can bring a single Bluetooth into its mesh per each unit.
So technically it’s possible to link the two different mesh groups if you had a Cardo and Sena on the same bike. Not sure if FX10 bridges, they don’t mention it in the manual.
But really will there ever be that many Cardo/Sena/FX10 in one group to even bother.

Hmmm I thought so, but cannot see any mention of that function in the manual. So maybe not.
Great review thanks! I bought some of these based on it. But we found the mesh is unusable. You nearly have to shout (into either of the microphones) to make it work. Even then 1 in 10 words get cut off. You mentioned a lower audio quality for the mesh. But just wondering if this has been a problem for you too?
We found that mesh audio was definitely lower quality than the BT audio, however nothing like you describe. Everything was still audible and usable. Geoff and his pillion used mesh audio for weeks without complaint.
i quick test them and found something similar, it has a noise cancelling system that sucks on mesh, you literaly have to shout on the mic

I was interested in your comments regarding volume. I bought the M1S plus but found the volume at 100kph and above was no enough to hear clearly. I have a few of the V6S for various helmets and the sound was much clearer at 100kph. While more expensive, I might give the new FX10 a try before asking my riding buddies to upgrade.
Thanks for sharing about the noise.. I guess there are just so many variables it's impossible to be definitive... helmet type, earplugs, windscreen/fairing, vents/visor open, bike speed, prevailing wind direction, and so on. I was super happy with the M1S volume, but couldn't hear the FX8 properly. The FX10C was louder than M1S.

Fodsports mesh is not compatible with Sena mesh or Cardo mesh.

Mate, which fodsports product can connect to my pillion rider's intercom & my phone's GPS Nav simultaneously? I know this FX10C might do that but it's just me & a pillion rider , so i find this expensive for my use, can you please suggest a budget suitable product for my application ?

Keith - what UHF radio and BT adapter did you use in this video?
Garmin Rino 750 and an M series BT dongle plus the adapter cable I make.
How is the wind noise? I take it you can't set the vox level. Thanks for the review. If you were to purchase a pair that didn't have the mesh, which one would you recommend? Thx
Wind noise... I tend to not hear any anyway, due to my earplugs. But these units seem to be OK - Geoff chose a deliberately noisy helmet (his words) for the test and I never heard any wind noise. I could hear the channel "open up" when he spoke and immediately go silent when he stopped.
Non-mesh, I would pick the M1-S plus units without hestitation. I like the buttons, I'm not into music when I ride, and the price is right.
So does this intercom have Bluetooth & Mesh? I can choose either or ?
Correct. Mesh with another FX10C or Bluetooth to other intercoms
Hey bloke. Think I'm going to pull the t Tigger. On a fodsport, just can't decide the fx8 pro or fx10c. Really interested in volume and sound quality. What do you think?
in my experience the FX10C has way louder sound than the FX8 Pro. Intercom quality is probably similar between both when using BT intercom.

How many devices can connect on BT connect?
two I think. Eg. I had Phone and UHF connected by BT.
