Fished that peg many times Rob some good fish on it, that tree thats sticking out and fell in has only recently fell in was clear around a month ago, the bailiffs were saying they were going to drag it out. Nice to see you catching a few mate
Thanks Tony.. It’ll be charging through there currently with the level up. Lovely stretch is Monkmoor 👍🎣
Cracking session Rob. Good to see you bagging up at Monkmore pal. Keep it up mate.
Cheers Kenny - Hope you’re keeping well mate 👍🎣
Hi rob brilliant video and lovely barbel. I absolutely love river fishing. Im 54 now and just recovering from open heart surgery. Basically i used to fish loads in Shrewsbury on the severn with shiftnal angling club and day tickets at monkmore and Sydney avenue but very sadley not for nearly 20 years !!! I miss going there lke mad and your video really makes me want to go even more. I do love stick float fishing but of course leger or feeder fishing produces the bigger fish. Ive just subscribed and looking forward to seeing more videos mate well done !
Thanks Martin.. Hopefully you can get on the banks and get back after them. Thanks for the kind words and best of luck to you 👍🎣
Great to see you back on the bank and thank you for a great informative vid. Hopefully I'll be up on the Severn this Autumn
Look forward to seeing your work on the Severn - Good luck on the Wye until then mate 👌🎣
@@RobsAngling Thank you Rob, I've be rewatching your vids and Eardington Brook has really captured my imagination
@@silentanglingThat’s a lovely stretch and would suit your style of videos. Watch the banks though - There are some steep and slippery sections there 👍🎣
@@RobsAngling thank you for the heads up Rob.
Brilliant again Rob. Thanks for these videos. And take no notice of negative comments on here. I look forward to more of your trips

Another brilliant video Rob…..bet you were glad to get out again 👍
Absolutely - Bring on the next one 👌👍
Good to see you back Rob. Nice video.
Thanks Martin 👍🎣
We've missed your vids Rob. I've got my mate onto them as well. Really top notch. Nice to see some proper colour and not that horrid peaty stain that was there last week when I was last there. Nice to see some Barbel. I sat for 13 hours on a rain drenched H. Avon yesterday for nowt! (I'm retired!). I've not been up that far yet but am thinking of a trip in the future. There's another stretch up there, forget the name, but you join it separately I think that I like the sound of. Glad you're alright! We were worried! 🙂👍🎣
Thanks Andrew.. We’re getting some decent rain now so hopefully the summer lows are now on the way out. Hopefully you manage to get a couple out of the Avon 🤞🎣
Another great video Rob, glad to have you back - I was starting to worry! 😂 Fish that stretch quite regularly myself.
Cheers Lee - Glad to be back out again.. Plenty more to come this year 👍
Great vid as usual you've been missed
Thanks David 🙏👍
Some nice barbel you caught mate well done, but really checking the weather forecast on your phone because it's hardly ever right is it not on TV either, Michael Fish for example the will be know high winds throughout the night,no because we ended up having a tornado instead 😅👍
Great video. I went to Coalport last Wednesday for the first time , had 5 barbel biggest 8lb , dare say I shall be returning
Well done Andrew - Great result 👍
Hi Rob, do you use a bite alarm when river fishing, can’t quite make out what’s on the top of your tripod in the videos.
Hi Gary, I do have a set of alarms on my pod. I only really use them late in the day when the light levels are dropping mostly. 👍
rob like your vids but can't stop wondering what backhander you get from korum korum.( barbel line is the old reflo they coudnt sell new label reel line is utter crap )
Hi Alan, there’s likely better things to be wondering about.. 😀 I only use what works for me and not for any other reason - People ask me what I use so I tell them.. No agendas - Just sharing info which is what my channel is about. Good luck on the banks 👍🎣
Another lovely video well done, just a quick question please what type of rod bag do you use it looks just the job.👍🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Mark - It’s the Korum Progress 3 Rod Quiver.. K0290110 👍
Is this the stretch that the over private Shrewsbury club had rob?
They’ve got the opposite bank - Shrewsbury Anglers Club 👍
What pod do you use
It’s the Korum Deluxe river pod. 👍
I hope you don’t mind me asking but Iam constantly having problems keeping the spam on the hair rig 🤷♂️ ! I’ve tried using the meat mt but Iam so uncofident fishing with it ! Your video was brilliant as always and congratulations on your mega visit to monkmore 👍👍 ! Is there any advice or tips you could giv me when fishing pieces of meat at quite a range like you were thanks rob and look forward to the next video tight lines pal
Hi Phil, the Meat Mate is usually pretty secure - You can also use dry spaghetti as a hair stop also.. Try a different brand of meat if you’re still struggling. Good luck 🤞🎣
Thanks rob for the swift response, gonna try a different brand many thanks bud ! Tight lines 🎣
