    Great interview. Juliet and her husband of Blaxit fully understand how to mix and deal with people. One must never bring his or her dirty attitudes to a foreign country and disrespect the people. Please go to the head of the class Blaxit family. Teach the diaspora how to do it. Respect and blessings from the Caribbean.

      The UK is an extremely racist country which pretends to be progressive, post racial and liberal but anything could be further from the truth.
      As a black person its hard to find work let alone a good job and the life here is stressful and unpleasant as you're not accepted by society.

    • @Dirtyvinyl23
      @Dirtyvinyl23 4 роки тому +2

      @@btp007 They are not bitter. They are just sharing their experiences living here in the UK. I know several people who have experienced the same thing as these women. The women in the video are not the issue but institutional racism in the UK is!

    • @simonbaker7558
      @simonbaker7558 4 роки тому +1

      @@btp007 That's hypothetically possible no doubt. Not everyone is at the top of their profession despite their skills, competencies, experience and qualifications. What you cannot deny is that there is a lot of institutional racism, racial and class barriers put in front of a lot of black people here in the UK!
      There are many times I have been denied work opportunities when I have had the requisite experience and have demonstrated key skills required for the role.
      I have alot of friends with master degrees and PhDs and most without work and you can't tell me that they weren't all not good enough.
      Racism is a very serious issue in the UK which is deliberately swept under the carpet by the media and the establishment because they don't want to change this unfair and unjust system.

    You would think that ‘not disrespecting the local people’ would be common sense but I guess not. You are a guest in their country until otherwise determined. Come in, sit down and be respectful. Why create a hostile living environment? To me anyone who does that isn’t mentally stable.

Never disrespect the locals when moving or traveling to Africa. That includes other Africans who travel to South Africa. Respect your host country and it's people. Do NOT disrespect the host by thinking you are entitled or own the place over the owners and have greater ownership, cause that creates a backlash, which can become ugly very fast.

      @@soshesays2444 if I'm being Frank there will be prejudice by some people where ever you go but I don't believe the majority are if I live in Africa as a white guy I would get some prejudice same if I lived in Asia.
      Black kids in my school were the minority for example but one in particular was the most popular. Plenty of black business entrepreneurs have shops/restaurants other businesses they are not desciminated against white black all frequent there shops.
      Sometimes people attract problems by the way they act sadly some kids got bullied at my school because they were different ginger hair, fat, short trouser etc none actually were black and they could also fight juliets son for example was bullied. let me say if he was bigger stronger more confident it wouldn't have happened I have only seen a few videos he seems like a sweet kid but quiet meek and mild so sadly bullies sensed that and did what bullies do they homed in on what was different and in his case sadly it was his skin.
      It's not right but the reality.
      As for Julie and her husband they did label ALL white people racist now how do you think that effects here interactions with white people do you think she is happy and smiley dealing with people or short sharp and perhaps to the point?
      If I was an idiot and thought somehow I was superior because I was white how do you think I would interact with black people treat them with respect or talk to them as if they are beneath me?
      I hope you understand my point we are all individuals in the same system and a lot of the time how we act will affect how we are treated in return.
      I have met many of Africans in particular Nigerians who say they are genuinely happy in England and never wish to leave it does put things into perspective with this sars thing going on of which doesn't happen in England.
      Me am English I want to leave but that's my choice.

      Privilege??! At what cost? What you see as privilege those of us living it will see as oppression. Living in the home of the Colonizers is hard and getting harder. They block us at every turn from achieving the same level of success. They imprison our sons. My father was cursed and spat on at his job and knowing he went to work in order to provide for his family breaks my heart. He passed away without ever seeing the Motherland. The mental and physical abuse my Mother endured at her job and in the community could never be called a privilege. Growing up in Canada the verbal, mental, physical abuse I have endured or witnessed is overwhelming but I try to forget it and move forward. Africans in the middle East experience so much degradation and abuse, none of which is a privilege. The West is a minefield of problems not privilege.

    So you are complaining about a country where you pay taxes in exchange for actually services and infrastructure .If you did not live in England where would you have gotten the money /capital that you are using to build your business in the Gambia. Complaining about a country where you could get three jobs in a place where most can not get one! Are you aware of the unemployment rate in Africa? Are you aware of the infant mortality rate the , life expectancy in Africa ?Nobody is saying that life is easy in the West but are you really comparing your life in England to that of the average African . Why did you not come without pounds and join the Africans to look for a job. How long would you have lasted. Yes things are getting difficult in the West because it is more difficult to get papers .But ask your self the desperation of people who are going from Africa to Libya , the Middle East ,India where they are tortured and mistreated! I would prefer we have good leaders who would provide good governance and opportunity for our youth in Africa , so they would not have to risk their lives travelling to these horrible places.

      @Diane M. Who told you Africans have better health ? What is the life expectancy in the Gambia? It is 61 years for a man! She listed all the illnesses she had .Well isn't she lucky to have a hospital where she could go and get diagnosed and treated. Most Africans do not know they have illnesses until they are very sick and most have no way to pay for any treatment .Cancer occurs at the same rates in Africa as in the West ,but here it is a death sentence even treatable cancers . I saw a child on UA-cam in some village in Africa .She had what looked like retinoblastoma, a children's eye cancer with a 96% survivability rate in the UK .It had eaten away her eye and created a huge hole in her face,. No way to get treatment ,she died after suffering for months! I am sure her parents would have put up with the queen to save their child!
