He is without doubt a true rock legend, at 76 still doing what he love's..i hope he has many more years ahead of him.
I was fortunate enough to make it to the Chicago show in March and although we didn't get the same legendary backing band, I'm more than happy with who Iggy brought with him that night. They played very well, let Iggy own the stage entirely and the brass section added some very interesting elements to the classics and even the new tracks. That being said...wow, I never thought I'd see Slash, Duff and Chad as a backing band for Mr. Pop. Incredible.
Wow I remember when my grandfather Jr.Kimbrough toured with Iggy, can't believe this man still going😮
Iggy is a bad ass. I can't say that I'm a fan from way back, but now that he and I are much older I'm really starting to dig his originality and his resiliency especially at his advanced age. He and Lee Ving are the real thing and both of them are still more representative of Punk Rock/Hardcore than anyone younger than them in the music business.
Brilliantly bonkers! The Ig's one of the Last Men Standing...treasure him while he still prowls amongst us...
Wow Duff and Slash, back to the Brick By Brick days !
The guitarist some are criticizing here is Andrew Watt, he produced this album and is at least partially responsible for the great lineup of musicians on the album and excellent production of all the tunes. Love to the great Iggy Pop <3
Insanly i ncredible super group...damn, Chad Smith just killing it! Everyone was awesome!!! Thx 4 share BIG UP!
Love how the rest of the guys let Iggy own it, only stepping out when it was their turn to shine. Respect for Iggy. We love you, maaannnnn!!
wow Iggy and Slash are legends, still amazing. makes me think I should stop feeling like I am too old for things and just do what I want.
I was there! Epic footage! Thank you from the short girl in back!
Iggy is 76 wow. Still at it.
This was my wedding song!
Wow! Go old guys, GO!!!
Thanks for this I hope Rocknroll never stops!!!! Just imagine in 50 years when this will be all history 😢
(with Slash) ....and the great Duff!
Not giving a crap...that's a great life. God bless Iggy!
I have been a fan for years..I will never forget a friend of mine..male..jumping up when they played an Iggy pop tune at our company xmas party..grabbed me by the hand and jumped up..he moved just like Iggy..it was awesome to watch..just not awesome to stand there
This was the third of three shows across 3 different L.A. theatres Iggy played with this all-star line-up (sans Slash) over 8 days in April 2023. For this show, once again, I was standing three spots back and just center stage to the left. Originally, I did not have tix for this show but after the first two shows how could I let this final show go by? On the morning of I purchased one ticket (purchased on the Ticketmaster rip-off reseller Live Nation) and off to Hollywood I went. Side note: before Iggy played, Punkie Johnson gave a "comedy" performance that was really nothing more than her walking around on stage showing her big ol' babies breathing freely (Iggy seems to have the effect of getting everyone to take their shirt off!) As for Iggy, once again he gave another fine performance, BUT he did express some disappointment that (unlike the other shows) no fans made it to the stage due to the strong fence barrier and rather tight security. Chad was banging those drums all night; he doesn't quit! For the encore, a nice surprise was Slash. The mosh pit was strong from the get go but no real harm done to anyone. Look how happy Iggy is towards the end of this masterpiece (
Iggy is punk incarnate. Much respect. I've had the pleasure of seeing him live several times. Epic.
