What triggers you to feel overwhelmed lately? What helps?

There are various things but one thing that causes me to be overwhelmed is m to-do list piling up. Sometime it’s just because of a lot coming in at once or because of procrastination or a bit of both. So it does help when I can just put my head down and get it, or asking someone for some help. Of course getting out for some exercise is always helpful.
I did go from full time office working to full time work from home (like so many), which disrupted routines and habits. One challenge is that I spend my days in my home office working, which had lowered my motivation to edit photos and videos in the same place.

@@matthewhenry6281 About the todo list. I find it helps when I only write down max 5 todos per day and if new things come in they have to be added to the next day. Of course sometimes that's not possible because tasks need to be done urgently but as a general rule it works 🙂

Not being able to go out, not being able to meet new people, not being able to travel. Sitting at home and working all day. Outside it's cold and rainy. This makes it difficult to be happy and work with full motivation. This is very stressful and quickly overwhelms you. Thanks for your great video!

My mother recently went to a rehabilitation center for a fractured spine. She can no longer live independently. Packing up her home. Taking control over her finances and reliving what I can only describe as a abusive childhood raised my stress to the breaking point. My answer was to remember to let it go. It wasn't anything else but the thoughts I was thinking and I had to see them as nothing more than thoughts. Morning walks and meditation changed my mind. My mantra has been how can I create a world of love and understanding today. This works for me.

For me it's to stop becoming frustrated about things that are totally out with my control and devote my energy to matters that I have control of. I also find having a flexible routine is good for keeping my head in a good place as I can adapt to the circumstances with less frustrations

That makes so much sense! Letting go and devoting energy to the right things like you said helps. 🙏

I’m also a firm believer in how your morning routine sets up the day - I still fail at that way too often and find myself scrolling Instagram at 6am which just sets me up for a day on anxiety 😔 I’m like Alice in Wonderland- I give myself very good advice but I rarely take it! 😂😂😂

Great video! There are times when I can feel overwhelmed when I either give myself (or someone else gives me) tasks to complete in a short period of time. Most of the time it is usually a situation where it is more anxiety than anything else. I will usually just take each task one step at a time. Usually I will find that I get things done in an easy manner. I also try to take a break every once in a while too just to unwind.

Here's what I usually do when I'm feeling overwhelmed:
    1) Go for a walk. It's very interesting how a change in your environment can change how you look at a certain emotional event. Bonus points if you can go to a park where I find time tends to slow down relative to the hectic and rushed city around it. I've looked at certain events in my life differently simply because I was sitting on a bench in a park while watching the trees and hearing the sound of birds.
    2) Treat yourself to your favorite food. It's amazing how good food - in moderation - can elevate your mood almost instantly. A simple cookie goes a long way when the people around you haven't been as sweet.
    3) Listen to some relaxing music. It can alter your current state of consciousness enough to reconsider how much the thing you were overwhelmed about really matters at the end of the day. I love listening to piano because it feels like it understands me somehow without saying anything which is quite remarkable when you think about it.
Anyway, good video and great advice!
