That’s a VERY easy install. I’d like to get one for my new boat, but that $130 price tag is my hang up. I’m going to suffer with my original handle as long as possible and hope to replace it just before it breaks.
Thanks for watching buddy . I was about to buy one from next level but I’ve been using Berleypro accessories for a few years now & I new martyn at Berleypro was gonna make a awesome design . A new handle has to have a new base plate , the original plate on the natives are thin and flimsy.
Taking delivery tomorrow after dropping 3g. Would have thought the handle would have been perfected from factory for that kind of cash. Now have to spend another 130 to fix their engineering issue. Would have bought a vibe if i want to be messing with it!
Hello, thank you for the video, I bought a Native Watercraft slayer pro max 12.5 last year. Is my Kayak compatible with this handle? Thank you for your time
Thanks for watching. Yes this handle will fit directly on your kayak. It’s made very well and I’d recommend the upgraded handle cause the stock handle could possibly break.
Thanks for watching . I believe this is a great upgrade because eventually your handle will fail and upgrading to the Berleypro this handle will Last forever . The original handle has a lot of play & they have also broke on people while they were on the water fishing
Can you provide the product number or the link for the steering conversion kit? I'm finding the descriptions aren't very specific about which one fits the Slayer Max 12.5, and I'd like to get one for mine.
Thanks for watching . That’s a good question . Everything seems very tight but I will check this and do an experiment on that . And we will talk about that on the part 2 video . If there is any problems with water getting in , it would be a easy fix .
@@HooKSetzWithRyan right on thank you. I have never made any adjustments in my steering. I would of thought the backing plate would have a piece of foam behind it.
Hey Ryan I am looking at buying a kayak. What made you pick that one if you don’t mind me asking ? And is that a 13 footer ? I am trying to get all the info I can before I buy. Thanks and enjoy your vids !
I really like my native watercraft slayer max . What is you height, weight . That’s a good place to start . Also if your local and you ever wanna do a demo we can line something up . Both my native watercraft & hobie outback are very stable . Hobie is faster , the slayer is better to stand in .
Thanks for watching . I always keep my native slayer max in the high seat position but we will check that and add that in the part 2 of the next video.
Wow that kayak is super nice I really like that
Thanks for watching really appreciate it . Native watercrafts are very nice kayaks for fishing .

Installing mine today for event 4!
Heck yeah bro you gonna love it
That new handle looks solid man.
Thanks for watching. Definitely man it’s super nice
I went with the Next Level Design on mine. The burley pro looks good might have to switch over. That naw plate makes a huge difference I bet.

@@HooKSetzWithRyan Facts. That would been cool if it was all black.

every company has these issues though tbh. Always an upgrade needed typically.
Gonna be upgrading a lot more than a handle if you get a vibe
I agree. Thats why I now have an outback
@@southfloridapaddlefishing7452 oh yeah your good to go!

Thanks for the install video. What are your thoughts on the upgrade? Just curious if I should invest for my slayer max?

Thanks for watching. Part number BP6022 / BP6030
Is there a gap in the baseplate to the kayak that would allow water in? It looked like it in the video.

Does the seat have to be in the higher seat position or will it clear on the lower setting. It seems to be much higher than the original.

does the handle sit much higher than the stock? I was looking at getting the seat risers and didn't want to have to reach too far down to turn.
Thanks for watching. Yes the handle sits up higher very comfortable.
@@HooKSetzWithRyan I appreciate it!
It’s sad that the handle has been a known problem for years by native, and still nothing has been done about it.
Thanks for watching. I totally agree . Time for them to make some changes.
