Heck yeah! I bet you could nicely balance a fruit pie in there as well.

Super ! My ash filled pockets could use a break.
Nice meerschaum! Is it block or pressed?
I’ve been carving my own briar pipes from predrilled “hobby blocks” that come with nice acrylic stems.
I get them from “Pipes and Cigars” tobacco company when they have them in stock.
They seem like factory rejects from some pipe company. The only problem I can find with them is that the holes were improperly indexed to the grain direction. It’s good briar and they smoke great. If the grain is too funky, a distressed finish works fine. A carbide ball end cutter in a dremel tool can provide an excellent feeling texture .

Those sound like some nice unique pipes. I have zero history on the meershaum since I started inherited it. I just like the way it looks. Most of my pipes are second hand or estate pipes - of course except my old meershaum corncob that I have had since '93. Bought that brand new for $3 - big spender!

I think the only reason I still smoke is because I love carving pipes.

I go through phases like anything else. Never carved my own (I've rolled my own - but never carved my own). 😂
