Hi Cathy! You would have enjoyed #Stitch-Con, it was the most amazing weekend. It was my first cross stitch retreat, and really exceeded my expectations. And I did get some stitching done, but spent just as much time wandering the room to see what everyone else was working on. I was so excited to see that one of the trunk shows was Hands on Designs, I posted photos of the display on the Facebook page. I volunteered at our local Special Olympics events in High School and through college back in the 70's and loved every minute of it. That Bent Creek Snowman just may send me on an Ebay hunt, it is adorable. I envy the Silver Needle attendees I would love to take a class with you.

Can’t wait to get hold of knee High but living in Scotland I may have to wait some time to get hold of it!! This would be a great gift to stitch for my son and his family who live in Iowa!! I don’t dislike the drinking I dislike the “slurping”... I just finished the Knee High piece and I love it!!! I actually had it in the back issue but after seeing it posted I stopped everything and stitched it up. Loved seeing the redo’s it really does help to see that when things get older they can be reworked and freshened up again

I enjoyed the video as usual, lots of great things on the go. Lala was on a parental media hiatus for several months previous to posting her recent things so maybe she has been put on another. I hope she will still be able to watch some and for sure gets to stitch because it means so much to her. She did an amazing job on the Pam and Stef video and everyone loved it. I really love the piece from your finishing class, sometimes white just makes a pattern pop and this one did. Good luck to your son on his upcoming competition. 👍🏻

Since your Knee High pattern has come out, I’ve mentioned that saying to a few people, one of which is my husband, and it just shocks me how many people have never heard that phrase! Guess you need to have been a farm grown country person to know it!

I’ve just found you and was ecstatic to see you were the designer for Knee High! I grew up in Wisconsin and obviously heard the phrase growing up. I had ordered the pattern before I stumbled on your video and did one of those squeaks when I saw you talk about your design. I especially loved the block piece that was for your class project in the Netherlands! I have your Mend block to stitch but I have been too afraid to start stitching it!

When you choose colors for your patterns do you work from a complete set of all the hand dyed threads or do you just “know” what colors work? Hope SOUSA was great!

Colors: I have a complete set of the 3 GAST, WDW & CC. I use those as my palette for choosing shades but then I order threads for stitching models. This is good so I can see if dye lots vary too much and change a look. That being said, sometimes I ‘know’ what I want-my favorite thing is to be in a well stocked LNS and play at the threads area creating little piles of palettes...weird I know. 😬

Thanks so much for another lovely video. Can't wait to see the last two White Christmas designs! I found Lala on facebook and her photos look just like those of a 12 year old child. She looks like she is taking dressage lessons in most of them. Love the ornaments Vonna refinished for you! They are beautiful! I live in Alabama and I need to find the thrift store that has Shiny Brites for a dollar a box! :) :) :) I am hoping to have enough for a tree this year! They are spectacular!
