Thank you so much. Worked on my A6 C6. My local Audi dealer said there was no easy way to get it into neutral. Either they're incompetent or they lied. Either way I did it with your help 👍

Hello so per Mechanic it’s the TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR. I’m being told not sold separately only sold with the whole transmission for my Audi A6. Wondering if any advice?
From memory, it's different on the C5. C6 yes, C5 no. I am impressed by the number of Audi videos you have! 👍🏻 I was looking for one on changing the climate vent fan on an A4 B8 saloon (8K2) 2.0 TFSI 2009 but unfortunately didn’t find one. This fan only works when it feels like it so I am not 100% convinced that the fan is the problem, maybe if there is a faulty sensor or loose electrical connection, they are expensive to replace so I want to be sure that the fan motor is really the problem?
Hey there! Fan motors are generally fairly easy to test, and you can often test them in the car without removing them. You need to disconnect the power plug and then apply a 12v supply direct to the fan motor and see if it spins up like it's meant to. This is where a tool like a power probe (or equivalent cheaper equivalent) can come in very handy as you connect to the battery and then touch the fan terminal and press the button on the tool to apply 12v power. I have a 2008 A6 3.2 quatrro. Motor/trans swap( same year and model w/less miles) engine runs great but trans not. Gear shifter will go into gear but wheels are not engaging. Safe mode on dash. Checked all fuses, fluid levels, sensors and linkage. Any ideas??
My ECU light came on the mechanic replaced motor mounts some coils because it was misfiring. He called and said it’s ready however he said the gear has gotten stuck. No more shaking car running smooth but what can this be. New transmission cost more then car value
Hello, is there a possibility in the future you may do a how to on RS6 C6 oil change? Not done one yet, but will do at some stage, they have several drain plugs I believe?
We would love to cover the RS6 C6 in-depth, but we don't have one available. So we did that so we could push a car forward that was in the middle of a water pump replacement. Put the key in when in nuetral to roll up windows. Now can't get the key out and can't put it into park. Thought maybe disconnecting the battery would resolve the problem. It did not, and in total frustration didn't think not to shut the trunk. So now I an truly fu$#%@kd. Some non- disparaging advice?
Sounds like you're having a nightmare! First things first, get that battery connected back up. To open the boot/trunk there are two things you could do. If you have rear folding seats you could fold them down and climb into the boot and use the manual boot release pull. Otherwise you could connect a charger or a jump starter pack etc (anything that will provide 12V) on to the jump points under the bonnet/hood. Either of those should allow you to get that battery connected back up. Hey there! Those are most likely scheduled videos. UA-cam tends to show scheduled videos as private videos until they go live. Yes, we do sell a handful of more complex or specialist videos on our website (www.totaltechnik.com), but the majority of our content is completely free to view :-) We've just started the B8 platform series, and have a LOT more B8 content to come!! --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Donations both needed and welcome!
