Hi Meghan. I'm glad it was helpful. It really is such an amazing little wheel. The friends I was with while I videoed this both exclaimed that they found the very slight chugging to be a very quiet and soothing sound!
How do you like spinning on this compared to other methods? I have long wanted to learn how to spin. (I’ve already backed the Kickstarter because this looks really intuitive, and awesome)!
Hi angrysirok. (I wonder why you're angry?? Maybe some nice, meditative spinning can help.) Anyway, I have spun on a treadle wheel, electric wheels and spindle. They all have their place. I love my treadle wheel, but I also really love the reliable, consistent speed of the electric wheel. I own the earlier versions of the Mini and the full size EEW, and unless I need a really light, super portable e-spinner, I would choose the full size EEW, just because it's faster and stronger and holds more on the bobbin. That said, I have been spinning on this prototype of the Mini 2 for 8 weeks and I am super impressed with its capability. It can't do what a larger wheel can do, but it steps right up to the job of spinning and plying. It's very rugged, strong, smooth and quiet. It's also a great choice for beginners because of how controllable the speed is. You'l love it! Does that answer your question?
itmakesyousmile thank you for your answer! I would be a total beginner, and cost was another factor. I looked at wooden wheels ages ago, and then let that dream die. So when I saw this little guy, I thought perfect! I’m only angry when I’m behind slow drivers (my name is an anagram)! Meditative spinning sounds nice!
Thanks for sharing this helpful video about your early EEW Mini 2 prototype!
You're welcome, Maurice. I'm happy to help get info about the Mini 2 out there. It's SUCH and awesome product.
Thank you for sharing this! I was researching espinners, and I couldn’t believe how affordable this is! Heading off right now to pre order!
Hi Michelle. Thanks for watching. I'll be posting a new video soon of my testing of the Nano pre-production model. It's awsome!
Great! I just subscribed so I won’t miss it!
This makes me even more excited to buy one!!! 😁
I hope you do. You'll love it! And we have a really great community of EEW users on FB and Ravelry.
Thanks for sharing. I’m in Wisconsin too! Appleton area. I have a e spinner my husband built
Thank you so much for this video! It was extremely helpful to see the spinning and plying in action. And WOW that is so quiet!
