    Only thing I'd really like it a sewing machined style foot switch that allows for ramp up and ramp down. the only other thing I would offer for updates is a way to secure the tension cord. two open slots, that's going to get slack over time. there needs to be a wind and hook set up.

    Eagerly awaiting the August shipments. I'm new to the whole world of spinning, and these look like a dandy way to get started.😁💓

    Thanks so much for posting ! It scares me a bit that I could reverse the wire polarity, so I might ask a tech-sassy friend for help...

      If you are really careful and track the wires so that they don't get crossed you will be fine, but if you have a friend with a voltage meter that is the best and safest option.

    I know nothing about electricity other then I like it. Why can’t the nano be plugged directly into the foot pedal extension cord?

    Does the battery pack you link to above shut off if it's not powering anything? I would like to use the battery that fits in the 3D printable base but I noticed the one you link to only has one usb port so adding on the task light wouldn't help...

      The TalentCell Battery I linked to does not auto shut off. These are some of my favorite batteries for the EEW Nano.

    How do you get 9 volts from the USB connection.

      The is a boost circuit in the cables I have to convert 5v to 9v

    I would like to buy a usb switch but the one you have a link to (and any others I see on Amazon) say they support 5 volt -- is that a problem since the battery pack is 9v (I don't understand any of this so I just want to make sure I don't burn anything out)... I finally just got around to using my nano last night for the first time after receiving it last August! I LOVE IT! Thank you for all your great a videos. I can't wait for the newest wheel when they get shipped from he Kickstarter -- I won't wait so long to use it as I have the nano :-).

      The 5V on the USB switch is not a problem. The way this works is the USB port on the battery is 5V. Then the cable that comes with the EEW Nano converts that 5V to 9V. This switch goes between the USB battery and the cable that increases the voltages so the voltage going through the switch is 5V.

    Ah maybe I should have asked on this video. Have you ever tried a foot pedal for a sewing machine that has speed control?

    • @DreamingRobotsBlog
      @DreamingRobotsBlog  4 роки тому +1

      I have not tried one, but from what I understand they use a technology that won't work with the EEW Nano. I'm an nearly certain they won't work without modifying how they work and then interfacing the changes with the EEW Nano which would make it a pretty significant project.

      @@DreamingRobotsBlog Interesting... But it looks pretty simple to turn off, and to get a foot pedal happening...this is pretty awesome!! I am not coordinated and could never pump a pedal while I focus on feeding the spinning wheel. Thank you!! And we just got a wool sheep today, so how cool is that!?
