A 2JZ GE is not the same engine as the 2JZ GTE and the Lexus IS is not the best option to tune the GS or aristo in Japan in the other hand was the original car where the 2JZ GTE was introduced before they used it on the Supra
I have a 1991 ford thunderbird SC (super coupe) it has a stock Supercharged 3.8L that produces around 250-75 HP. After having the engine professonaly rebuilt and tuned and increasing the boost of the supercharger from factory set 8psi to max of 15psi my baby was pumping out 515hp! I called her the mustang eater but then one day she started eating a 2003 corvette and now she keeps eating them. There was one time she tried a little Italian food and took a big bite out of a Mazerati when we were driving down the highway but there we to many cars in the way to do any actual racing, so I slowed down and waited for him to get beside and would wait for him to punch it and take off past me, so he thinks he's winning and faster than me before I floor it and go flying past. I did it about 3x or 4x in row before finally just taking off at full speed so he could see how fast my car really is. Super Coupes are not that hard to find but they are killer sleepers. They're Thunderbirds so they're fully loaded luxury cars that comes with all the he bells and whistles. I tell my friends that" it's like driving a Lazyboy that can go 200 miles an hour". They're really nice looking cars plus they have 4 wheel independent suspension, 4 wheel disc and handles great but it also comes with a adjustable air ride suspension. You can can choose between smooth(daily driving/cruising) or firm ride for racing. Certain models yrs come with a beefed up drivetrain that's capable of handling over 1000hp such as mine, so it's easier/cheaper to supe up because you don't have upgrade any part of the drivetrain because it can already handle 1000hp. They're people online who have suped their SCs up enough to pump out 1200hp, but that's expensive, however there are many of them who have hit around 7-800hp for alot cheaper.
