- Guitar tuning: gGDGBE. Guitar is a borrowed D-28. Thanks so much Taylor and Ben for joining me! Ben introduced me to this one - it's just so dang spooky cool. Recorded in a hotel room in Augusta, GA a few weeks ago.
Recorded on a Zoom H6. Guitar is also being picked up via line out.
1:58 the one who looks proudly at his friend singing make me smile every single time
Their names are in the description.
vee kay that’s besides the point, though.
Especially sweet because it''s Paul looking at Art!
thanks for pointing that out - love it
Thx for pointing that out!!

The lack of " is bothering me XDD

"i think that may be it" you're damn right Tom Hardy.
That face he makes cracks me up every time.
Tom Hardy? More like Channing Tatum
@@Dysapera That's cause u haven't seen tom hardy in legends
@@prettyflyforawhitegal3675 you're right, I can see the resemblance!
@@Dysapera :)
The BASS in that guitar tone! The vocal and guitar performance! Good lord, Josh, Ben, and Taylor. This is fantastic. The production of the original version is mindblowing but I just might prefer this version.
they used plugin to add the lower end harmonics. It's a good sounding guitar too.
@@DanLiveOnUTube I'm not sure about that...
The guitar tuning is in the description, I have no idea what on Earth it's called (if anything), but from how it's written down I'm fairly sure that bottom string G is an octave lower than the next string up. That is a lOOOOOw note for a guitar, I'm fairly sure one of my bass strings is tuned to it!
@@p3rs0n42 It's either that or eq but no guitar has that fat of low end without processing. I was just saying what I would have done.
@@DanLiveOnUTube I guess you've never stuck heavy gauge strings on an acoustic and down tuned it
@@DanLiveOnUTube I think that the low end comes from a pickup, you can see a jack cable going into the zoom. That's also what gives the guitar more percussiveness.
my man be looking like tom hardy with those glass-shadow eyebrowns
he looks like owl
It happens to me all the time lmao
Wait what he does lol 😂
Wow, I see it

Amazing cover!

He looks more like Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons.....
The guy in the middle looks like the chef in Ratatouille 😂

OMG YES HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA

the chef in ratatouille is the rat. linguini is just his ginger marionette
You are not worthy of a top comment.
The guitar fill at 2:16 is PURE GOLD!! Love that you kept the comments after and the harmonies being reviewed before the take. Awesome performance!
I picked that up also, the boy can play...
I also love how the slap on that E adds almost like a sound effect!! So cool all the things you can do with a singalar instrument!
Great harmonics, great setup. Always a pleasure to listen to your performances.
Was not a title I was expecting to see, but so glad I did.
I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT VOICE IS COMING FROM WHAT PERSON BUT IT SOUNDS AWESOME
Use headphones 👌🏽 sounds awesome! It's a very good recording
@@IwakuraKonata Hannah is right. I can't figure out either who is singing the deep voice in the middle of the song. I know Josh could do it but I think it's the guy on the right. But it's awesome anyway. 👍
@@gregourmet you are right, it is the guy on the right.
Jordanian Mad Gamer actually it’s josh who’s singing low, if you close you can see him sing the I wanna end me parts
The main voice is Ben in the middle. He has an amazing voice!
The one on low harmony was great in this.
That bass run at 2:13 is perfect. Super great cover...have listened a dozen times already!
It’s very legato, with some slight bends. That makes it sound so smooth. Josh is very talented and he knows how to use it!
"I think that may be it" mood
I love what you did with this oh man!
Yeah sammy agree in a big way xo
Hi sammy, im happy about seeing your comments under a video.
Oh hi sammy, I never thought I would find you in a comment from UA-cam lol.
I really like the way Josh says "Wow"
Every one did a great job.. can't stop listening to you guys..❤️
Never thought i would get to see Sid Jenkins, Mark Zuckerberg and Nicholas Hoult sing a Billie Eilish song.
damn, Mark Zuckerberg really got some sweet pipes
Honestly they all look like the heartthrob nerds that have gotten killed in horror tv/movies the last 10 years but they do have chops.

I know josh is getting very popular and has a large circle of friends but I had no clue he could get the creator of Facebook to sing lead in his band. This is incredible!
The middle guys transition from his falsetto to his chest voice is amazing!! This was all amazing!!
I know nothing of singing technique can you explain?
@@BankruptGreek falsetto is really high, and it's usually airy and feminine. in contrast, chest voice kind of feels like it's coming from the chest, and it's lower and more forceful. there's supposed to be one or two vocal bridges in between those two registers, where your voice kinda cracks if you try to slide down. so a smooth transition between one and the other is impressive!
@@asimhussain8716 that's a good question! in general the idea of different vocal registers isn't _universally_ accepted; it's more of a suggestion, and the ranges themselves will differ in their exact notes with people that have different pitch voices. but I think the concept of bridges isn't irrelevant here, because it's not really the norm to be able to transition that easily, and the words we have for those phenomena allow us to identify a job well done such as is the case here. :)
@@asimhussain8716 oh, I see. I'm not really sure, actually? I don't have a terribly extensive background in vocal music, I only know the basics. I wish I knew somebody who could answer your question more accurately.
That's just amazing. I don't know how else to say.
This is definitely the best cover of bury a friend
This is better than the original, honestly. When I'm craving to listen to this song I come to this cover instead of the OG song - it's this good!
no
I think that was it fellas. Very very good. Guitarist rocked, knows exactly when and what to play. Voices were great, guy in the middle especially angelic voice. Low and harmony excellent as well. Usually I'm a semi professional troll, but I have nothing negative. 👍
And now just imagine that shadows from glasses are his eyebrows.
I've been! It's hard for me to see them any other way...
i can't unsee wtfwtfwtf have you done?
Uuuuh, cartoony-villain-eyebrows
I don't know why I thought this was so funny hahaha
Jur on yeah there was this one kid with glasses and there was a shadow on his forehead because of it and for a solid 2 minutes I was contemplating on whether he had a unibrow or not
am i the only one that watched this because of the atmosphere the thumbnail gave off?
like i’ve never actually heard the original to this song at all
Me neither (didn't know the song)... But if you don't know this channel already, it's a nugget. Josh have great talent and feeling. And good musical taste, to the point he can makes me love a song I could hate before ;).
Yep, this was my first listen of the song. I was drawn in by Josh not playing anything bad and was vindicated again
You should definitely check out the original, though
I like this version of the song a little better actually
It just keeps getting better each time. Every listen reveals more depth and dynamics. This is one of the finest pieces of music on UA-cam. Thank you!
This is still amazing, I keep coming back to this song and being blown away by it.
Same lmao
So hyped when I saw the title and absolutely not disappointed at all by your amazing work! The original song is incredible and you did it so well with only a guitar and three voices. Gods of arrangements.
The guy on the right’s voice has so much range!!
Having never heard the original, MAD PROPS FOR HARMONIES! And a lovely guitar tuning, but DAYUUUUM THOSE VOCALS!!!
Man I've seen tons of videos covering this song, but this is hands down the best!!!!!!!! You have a great channel man, massive amount of talent
That was great. Terrific harmonies and Josh on guitar fantastic as per usual. Well done Gents.👍👍
LYRICS
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
Come here
Say it, spit it out, what is it exactly
You're payin'? Is the amount cleanin' you out, am I satisfactory?
Today, I'm thinkin' about the things that are deadly
The way I'm drinkin' you down
Like I wanna drown, like I wanna end me
Step on the glass, staple your tongue (ahh)
Bury a friend, try to wake up (ah ahh)
Cannibal class, killing the son (ahh)
Bury a friend, I wanna end me
I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
Listen
Keep you in the dark, what had you expected?
Me to make you my art and make you a star
And get you connected?
I'll meet you in the park, I'll be calm and collected
But we knew right from the start that you'd fall apart
'Cause I'm too expensive
Your talk'll be somethin' that shouldn't be said out loud
Honestly, I thought that I would be dead by now (Wow)
Calling security, keepin' my head held down
Bury the hatchet or bury your friend right now
For the debt I owe, gotta sell my soul
'Cause I can't say no, no, I can't say no
Then my limbs all froze and my eyes won't close
And I can't say no, I can't say no
Careful
Step on the glass, staple your tongue (ahh)
Bury a friend, try to wake up (ah ahh)
Cannibal class, killing the son (ahh)
Bury a friend, I wanna end me
I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
I wish help 😊
Thank you 💟
