it’s even deeper than before...
the hole has swallowed us
the prey are in control
i've seen the other side it's darker than it was
it stretches what i love until it falls apart
in the minutia and the nuance there’s a cloud heavy above
watching it inch closer - the blackest beam to take me up
i can see it couldn't touch it even from the highest rung
in this cell we call a full life - is it here I'm finally stuck?
with the soldiers and all the suffering
all good men - but the smothering of what’s undone
runs like blood
a synesthesia filled needle pokes through the skin
how can i be so certain
that this was more than the sum of our urges?
down.we.go
it felt so good to analyze and correct
but you never really know until the foots on your neck
where will I be when i’ve aged and I can't connect?
with these little rat fuck kids and the pigs that sign the checks
when buzzing noise rots your ears and the breaths clog your chest
or better yet what are you gonna do
when it comes your turn to pay time's debt
like birds of prey spitting out the bone
like watching my dreams come and go
you're staring into your new god’s soul
i'm swallowing the rabbit whole
you're staring into your new god’s soul
i'm swallowing the rabbit whole

I am absolutely in love with the fact people love industrial nightmare noises once again.
Code Orange is a new animal.
I'm not a huge fan of industrial or hardcore music, but this band takes their influences and creates something new and interesting with them. This album is just so damn good.
Thank Mick Gordon!
Can you recommend heavy bands that make use of industrial? I’ve always wished for that style but it’s so rare
I belive this is a genre called Cyber metal. Doesnt sound Industrial to me TBH
@@UnderWDG it does have some elements of traditional industrial with the noise/ambient elements alongside the contemporary synth metal industrial sound.
Forever had a bit of a Godflesh vein running through it. This record went a bit more the kind of industrial metal people who don't know much about the genre expect.
This sounds as if Ross from Friends finally got a band around his keyboard playing.

@@doomslayer8431 Why do you want more female members in metal bands?
@@BehindTheBush96 not enough respresentation
The first minute of this song is called "(deeperthanbefore)". As in, every time you listen to this album, every time you start again from the beginning, you go "deeper than before", deeper than you did the last time you listened to the album, deeper than you did the last time you went down the rabbit hole, and you discover something new, not only in the songs, but in yourself as well. The ending of the video for the last song Underneath is the beginning of the video for the first song Swallowing the Rabbit Whole implying that this album is meant to be played on repeat, like a never-ending descent into the rabbit hole; a never-ending freefall into the madness of self-reflection.
Let's take a good look at you.
nice observation, i like it. but have you heard ICP's album the wraith? each song overlaps into the next perfectly, and this was a long time ago now. pretty sure hells pit from them does that too. also they are definitely meant to be listened to as a whole album in order
@@thomaskaiser2475
Any album that has any artistic and creative merit really should be listened to many times in order untill you know what's coming next!
We all learnt that when we were young and music only came on vinyl and was comparably much more expensive.
Favourite album of 2020 was by Oranssi Pazuzu... i grew up on Psychedelia, and also like most genres of music.
Only just getting into this album, it's rather different from their earlier albums which I like a lot.
(I'm old...closer to 60 than to 50)
@@The1stMrJohnwhen i was young i was poor and only got my music through the radio and recording them on tapes on a boombox in the 90's. never had a record album but when cd's came out they were about 20 bucks per album. i never had internet beyond dial up until like 2006, Atreyu: the curse was around that time also is an album like this needing to be heard in order. they arent all like this but yes a lot of bands do it and i love it when they do. Gojira does it as well. ive never heard of Oranssi Pazuzu and now ill check em out. thank you for the reply, and i love psychedelic music as well, my dad was a huge pink floyd fan he died in his 40's.

Yo, I was at the gym pumping it and I thought the Bluetooth in my headphones cut out, hahaha.
yo me too. this whole video was a mindfuck.
The only part I hate. ffs at least remove the pop if you're going to studio silence and back. Terrible decision.

I’m not too stoked on fever 333 though
@Call Me, BLEGH Me, If You Wanna Reach Me I didn’t know that. Just not too stoked on their music
I saw them live in Phoenix this month and they were awesome! I definitely was not expecting them to sound that good live and yea the fever 333 front man was preachy as hell and i didnt care for that or their music as a band, no hate its just not my cup of tea.
Code Orange musically, aesthetically, visually, just everything is exactly what I've loved since I was a kid and I feel like this band has the chance to become humongous. This is unbelievably good.
Code Orange just built their own cinematic universe in their videoclips ..i love these references to previous work
Seems like they’re taking from Slipknot’s book with the videography. But that’s my take on it. I’m still on the fence with this band. Definitely unique.
@@gibsonmesa00 Have you listened to the I Am King album? songs like Starve or Slowburn?
Jason Garcia this in not videography this is filmmaking!
Tanner Lacoste My bad.... seems like they’re taking from Slipknot’s book with the FILMMAKING. Still, a Slipknot feel to it.
Reminded me too of the video of becoming a machine from harms way. It could all be a bigger story from same universe.
I feel like anyone pulling the “Code Orange is going soft” thing has never listen to Love Is Love / Return To Dust. That album is full of weird experimentation just like the new shit. They’ve never been just a regular hardcore band. Always pushing boundaries and doing different stuff. And they’re only getting better at it. Code Orange Forever.
THIS THIS THIS.
They also had that soft rock alt band with 3 out of 4 members of C.O. iirc. New material is great, and not out of character for them as people or under the Code Orange (Kids) name
Yea those losers just heard the forever single. Apart from love/ dust they have rock anthems on every release
They also didn’t finish the song
No offense to them, but "pushing the boundaries" and "hardcore" don't go together. Any hardcore that tries something different is called (whatever genre they're experimenting with) core.
In 2001 when I was a kid I thought Slipknots Iowa album would be the hardest music I ever heard. Then it seemed like every couple years or so a new band would maybe come along and sorta try to push the limits a little further until I thought it couldn’t possibly get any harder. This is the first song in a long time to make me say whoa, this is a new level
Try Defeated Sanity's last two albums, anything from Dying Fetus or Skinless's Trample the Weak Hurdle the Dead or None so Vile from Cryptopsy.
youre not listening to enough music at all if thats the case this is tame
I just returned from living in China for 12 years.
From 2021 onwards, I'd often listen to this album on my walk back to my apartment.
The walk took me through a shopping plaza named 'Dong Du' then through a leafy business park.
I loved that walk after evening class, especially along the little lane at the back of the aforementioned park.
This album, along with ERRA's 'Snowblood' and Lorna Shore's '...Into The Hellfire' will forever remind me of that walk.
I also listened to the previous album 'Forever' when I took up running in 2017. Used to lie on my bed afterwards, totally exhausted, (I was over 135kgs when I started!) and play the entire album.
Thank you, Code Orange! Your music really changes lives!❤
Really feeling this track. Kind of sounds like what would have happened if Trent Reznor were to produce a Dillinger Escape Plan record.
NIN is one of their biggest influences and it really shows with this record
Greg Puciato has a solo project that'll be right up your alley then. "Fire For Water" is the track he just dropped.
you should listen to the new greg puciato solo track, sounds exactly like what youre describing
I couldn't describe it better. 👌

Code Orange creating their own weird, industrial, metalcore, hardcore, nu-metal thing and I absolutely love it! This new album is going to be HUGE!
Sounds like a progressive art pop version of Philipp H. Anselmo & The Illegals.

That 20 seconds from.4.minutes on is the most exhilarating hard music I've heard in years. The open cymbal playing from the drummer to punctuate, jesus christ.

Good. They make 90% of metalcore from the past 10-12 years look stupid. They’re still a cheesy band though. Interesting dichotomy.
Confirmed: *fight riffs still intact.*
Darren M. So many chills
These guys deserve the Grammy.
Dude this album is way more special than people are giving it credit for. It's a masterpiece.
Am sure they could get as their music fits in that commercial music genre
He's got the whole world, in his hands.
He's got the whole wide world...in his hands
Whoever conceived the visual identity of their recent work (videos/album art/website) deserves a raise.
Michael Charron the band does it themselves if I’m not mistaken
I believe it’s their synth player and jami who mostly do it
Even their Forever video is such a great music video and so well edited. The aesthetics of this band have really been incredible. Their lyrics and subject matter on this new album is also great with their commentary on people's obsession with social media and the internet in general.

What a time to be alive.
Heavy music is back on the radar - these guys deserve to go platinum ♥️♥️♥️
I’ve said this exact thing before!
code orange are better than slipknot without comparison
muhammad Osama no one is comparing them musically but culturally.
@@georgemonstro4441 success , fame and their effect on the culture doesn't really matter to me , i am looking for their musical and artistic output , i do listen to underground bands as well as unknown bands if they got good material but i get what you meant by ur comment although i don't think code orange will ever reach Slipknot's popularity tho because when slipknot were coming up they rode the nu metal wave that was already popular plus their mask gimmick helped in marketing them alot , code orange's back ground is hardcore and punk and now as they have grown and started putting this industrial influence they are still some what making music for an underground scene , that's my opinion anyway
muhammad Osama your opinion is valid, what I’m trying to say is that Code Orange is a great gateway for newcomers to dive into core scene, like Slipknot became a gateway to a more extreme styles of metal to many people (like me back in the day), thus alowing the scene to grow and expand.
Now that's what we all expected new Code Orange to sound like.
I get a weird "Upsidedown" vibe from it. Love it.
Yessss I got the same vibes.
Jami looks great as a frontman.
He's SO in your face, seemingly always ready to start performing in the middle of a moshpit. Must be even more blood pumping to see them live now.

One of the most creative ways I've ever seen a NIN influence be molded into something new, brutal! 🔥🖤🤘
I don't really hear any NIN in this but it's great either way
@@rybo0072 The musical influence from NIN is more subtle (aside from the electronics), with harsh distortions, piano, and sudden silences being the most evident cues to me. However, I think the aesthetics in this video is really were the NIN influence comes into play. The broken movie is a definite visual inspiration for Code Orange, and they've even said so in interviews
Based on the fact white rabbit has been playing at WWE events during commercials and Bray Wyatt is rumoured to be coming back soon and Code Orange told him they would give him a new theme. Is this the song maybe👀
1:19 YOWIE WOWIE👹🖤
This is undoubtedly one of the best songs they've ever released. Fucking phenomenal.
