I can't wait to get the original outfits before censorship, modder made variations of outfits, possibly new outfits and yes, the lewd outfits. I gotta pick up my 3D modeling practice and modding practice, would be damn awesome to make mods for this game. I hope the modding community will be all over this in force! (Skimpy/revealing/subtle > Full n00dz in my books)
While i agree this game may do well on PC for obvious reasons, i wouldn't hope nor expect anywhere near Black Myth Wukong numbers. That game was a massively supported by its Chinese playerbase and the story of Wukong is such a well known and beloved Epic.
@ReforgeGaming it does as well as runs very very smooth, one them games I did never finish, I'm just like u my backlog grew immensly cause of pro, rebirth didn't finish was horrible looking, stellar blade didn't finish, wanna do horizons again, tlous, gotta finish veilguard wich is huge game, but that's what pro does for me, no more get on ps day 1 then PC later, that gap seems to be closed where I'm happy if games continue like this on pro
@ReforgeGaming mind blowing gt7 don't have its update yet ud think that one woulda been ready first, I mean great on pro but I want that rt while racing
I think taking Wukong as an example is a bit of a stretch, because usually there is no as huge of a difference between console/s and pc sales. Plus there is not as much Koreans to back it up, so in their shoes I would have kept expectations in check. Undoubtedly though release on pc is a good thing, extra sales, new players all that jazz 🎉
There's over a billion people in China, and BMW is a good/great game of a beloved Chinese myth and denying that fact played a huge role behind its success is gonna prove to be a huge wake up call for Shift Up. Don't get me wrong, BMW is popular here in the West, but if Shift up thinks they are gonna do BMW numbers just because they put the game on PC then they are in for a very rude awakening. I hope the game does well on PC, but I think this says more about developers looking to maximize profits than it showing signs of impacting future exclusivity deals. What Shift up is likely to find on PC, or just multiplatform development in general is that there will absolutely be an uptick in sales of the game simply because there are people who wouldn't get it on PS, but they will also see thier game pirated on PC, they will also see their character exposed in ways that would make a *orn star blush, and they will also have to contend with a wide range of hardware and not specifically one configuration of hardware on different platforms. This could be an example of a blossoming development studio finding out that the grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side, but i am happy to watch them try and I am hopeful that they will be successful. And....if they should find that the triple A gaming space isn't willing to give them access to all the top of the line studio assistance or that the mass market has this uncanny knack for demanding things that they don't really want to buy and then being quite vocal once they get it, if it doesn't meet some unknown and likely unreasonable criteria for what a triple A game is supposed to be, then I want Shift Up to know that they haven't burned any bridges with the PS community. I say on behalf of the gaming PS community that, "we really enjoyed Stellar Blade and we hope that you can make more games of that quality or better in the future." But this seems like a case of a new developer chasing that runaway success waterfall without recognizing what lead to that success in the first place...but they gonna find out once the game hits PC....its not gonna feel good when they have over 5 millions players of thier game and under 2 million sales....ask CDPR, its why the Witcher 3 was on consoles after the first two weren't and why they were willing to delay Cyberpunk 3 times to work on the console version and stretch thier team thin across 2 generations of consoles to include the console market....that PC grass is not always greener!
I`m interested in the steam numbers for Stellar Blade, I'm a console player but I hope it sells well coz Shift Up deserves it. If Stellar Blade ever gets a sequel I would love to see the ability to customise your character, make your own "Eve" and the ability to ride your sword to travel the semi-open world if they decide to do that again, if they were to add those two things in the sequel I would be very happy. Shift Up`s practices is the reason why I believe Stellar Blade deserves to win GOTY.
I won't be surprised if it does sell even better on PC, as even though I own it on PS5, I will 100% surely buy it on PC too just for the performance/graphics tweaking, modding and all that. I guess quite a few might, then the PC Only crowd on top... :)
At the end of the day it all depends on each dev/publisher. Shift up didn't make Stellar Blade a temp exclusive because they love playstation. The deal they were offered was acceptable to them. That's it. If by the time they are building Stellar Blade 2 they get another enticing deal, it will be temp exclusive again, if not, well, then it will be at Shift up's discretion where they release and when.
I’m fairly certain they needed help to finish it and heard Shuhei was in town and got him to check it out. So, maybe they’re not huge Sony fans, but I think the lead is a fan, definitely. To an extent they may owe Sony a lot. Look at all the marketing they got for this from Sony (likely part of the deal). They would never of had that exposure on their own. Sony has had a helping hand in putting them on the map. I’m almost tempted to say the censorship nonsense was a plan to get attention 😂
I have been waiting for news of SB coming to PC, but if i'm gonna have to wait another year I think I will just go ahead and buy it on my PS5...I will probably buy a copy on PC also, whenever it does finally come...
I can already see the mods coming out of the woodwork for this. Happy for the PC players who will dive in. Unfortunately not my type of game but love being kept informed on what's coming!
I don't see the problem. PC gamers getting good games from Sony benefits Sony because for such a small price PC gamers can buy a PS5 and play them years early. I honestly don't know many people who have a PC and not a PS5...
BM Wukong is a good game but its sale figures are astro-turfed. Realistically, it's more like 2.3mil units internationally and 1.5mil organic sales in China. But the CCP encouraged businesses to give employees shorter work days so they can go home and play the game (in China, the game was at a 30-40% discount at launch). Most of the 8mil sales there is bc of that/
PS needs to shift their thinking on the whole PSN log in. Treating the PC market as secondary is no the move. Either commit to making as much money as possible on PC by adjusting to the demographic or do not release on PC.
PC is NOT their first priority nor their main platform. It is their console, is the Playstation. Other than that, PC, Mobile, Subscriptions are second hand.
Excited to play this game. Probably a bit too action orientated and not enough rpg/exploration elements for my liking. Just glad to get some decent character design. It seems to me that western game developers seem to be able to make more interesting world environments to explore, Eastern games tend to be more bland, empty spaces. Eastern game developers make far more interesting and appealing characters.
@Boss_Fight_Index_muki Haven't played sekiro. I do prefer games that are more exploration and loot focused. Ah, gameplay wise it looks good, glad that its coming to pc so i can play it. I just hate console exclusive titles. It will definitely sell good. I just hope that the game doesnt need to be modded in order to properly play it.
Why would it sell better on PC than on PS5? makes no sense... Especially since it's gonna be an old title by then meaning the hype will be not as present as it was when it launched on PS5 so it's unfair to compare the PC sales vs PS5
Confession time... I haven't played Stellar Blade yet. 🤷🏽♂️ I'm not entirely sure why, just haven't been motivated enough to touch it but I'm glad it's on PC so more folks can play.

@ yup they do. Literally every major AAA title with a delayed release sells like shit on pc. From god of war to Red Dead Redemption 2. None of these games have ever broken 100k concurrent players on Steam. The only exception to that would be GTA 5 with 300k players but even that pales in comparison to games like BG3 and Eldin ring that were day one releases on PC
Ghost of Tsushima was the best selling Steam game the month it dropped on pc. Tho concurrent players isn't a strong metric (it's not bad, per se, but not good at predicting long term sales), sales across time is a stronger metric and GoW2018, Spiderman2018, Horizon FW, and RDR2 did gangbusters on Steam across time/
@@Boss_Fight_Index_muki ya no that’s not how it works. A video game makes the majority of its money in the first few months of its release. Delayed releases hurt a games lifetime sales that’s just a fact my man.
@@XGiveMeLibertyX You're correct a game makes most of it's revenue in the 1st few month of the initial platform.
