A wonderful tribute to Data, my favorite character. It always touched me how the android who strove so hard to become human was the most human character of all.
Well done. I think that it is obvious that Data does have emotions, but like Spock he is never overwhelmed by them, seldom shows them, and always tempers them with logic.
I must confess, I have seen many Data tribute videos, however this one was the most touching! And to read all the responds in this comment section about their love for Data is very touching also!! This goes to show how loved Data truly is and as long as we never forget him and always remember him than he's never really gone and he'll always be in our hearts!! ❤😍
He may have been "killed off" in a movie, but because he's a fictional character, that actually means nothing. He can live on as long as you like; that's the beauty, power and infinite potential of creation/fiction. If TV and movie writers are allowed to rewrite characters back into life whenever they whist, why can't you or I?
I like this video. Very fitting. I cried at the end of Nemesis. I haven't been able to watch the film again. Why kill him off?! Why kill any of them off? Long live Data, and Brent Spiner!!!
I bawled my eyes out when I watched Nemisis. I was so set against the idea of Data dying that I wrote a fanfiction about what REALLY happened at the end of Nemisis. I've made myself believe that just as the ship was exploding, Q intervened and whisked Data away because he still owes him a debt for saving his life. LONG LIVE DATA!!!
We, who were in the U.S. Army in "West" Germany (1988-91), used to receive VHS tapes of that new Star Trek: TNG. I used to brag that I came from the same great state (Texas) as Lt Cdr Data. Nnobody would believe that a Texan could pull it off! I rediscovered the magic of that show this Spring, while recuping at home with a broken foot. I watched 4 episodes a day. This Texas teacher misses Data.
I haven't seen any of the movies yet. I only recently gained an interest in the series. My dad's been a Trek fan forever and I pretty much grew up with TNG since it started a year before I was born. Anyway, Data is my favorite and I think it's sad that he ends up dying. I'm gonna have to watch some of these movies sometime and I'll be sure to have tissues ready if I watch Nemesis.
Unlike Spock, Data is incapable of emotion. He does not hide them, in fact he tries to imitate the proper look of emotions for appropriate situations... at least until the series ended and the first movie, "Generations", came out. He then received his emotion chip and kept it for the next 3 movies until his death. It is obvious that his character was meant to be a parallel for the character of Spock in the original series, just remember they aren't the same.
...Okay, Brent Spiner commented on this video. Now absoultely EVERYTHING I say is utterly redundant no matter how complimentary it is. Oh well *goes back to watching the video*

Well, he truly is the best character in Star Trek history. Everybody loves Data! =)
Has to be one of the very best tributes to Data I've seen. Instant favourite, and many times re-watched. Beautifully done.
If we all could have a friend like Data then this world would be a much better place to live in.
excellent, very well put together, and I love the laugh thrown in there. So many moments I remember too. Nice one.

What a great video!!!
Love Data ♥
ah thank you! just re-watched this episode^^
is it just me or is it that data was more human then even the humans where at times
Riker was so right when he said "For an android with no feelings, he sure managed to invoke them in others" (ep "The Most Toys")
Very nice. Sad, then happy, then sad again. Makes me want to punch someone for killing him all over again.
This made me cry. I love data.
Great job! A most accurate representation of Data!
Brent Spiner, is that his name? As Data, he made a man out of a robot. Good actor, deseves more medels than he got.
Made metal loveable.

well, they can always bring him back and blame it on some sort of quantmum anomaly involving an alternate reality.
you got me all misty eyed :(
Will be giggling for the REST of the day* ^_^
Data will be back I hope Soon
siempre te recordaremos data. startrek es lomejor
