Thank you for your very valuable training! I am a novice in the Lean systems and your materials are very easy to understand, very clear and have much meat in them. Thank you again!
Thank you so much for your great videos, may i ask you for an internal IT department in a big organization we need to move from project to product mindset, we need to start identify our products, can i use the same concepts you have identified or this is only for manufacturing. what is the best resources you recommend to learn more about identifying product in IT business. Thanks
Hi Lotfy, glad you enjoyed the video! For the IT environment, your products would be the various types of services that you provide. For example, you may have one process flow for software requests/upgrades, a different process flow for general technical issues ("help me my computer crashed!"), one for "minor" projects, and yet another for "major" projects. If the majority of steps are different for each service type, each one of these process flows would be a separate value stream. In my experience, common wastes that pop up in that environment include incomplete information, steps being inconsistently done depending on who completes the work, and extra-processing/motion (systems that don't talk, cumbersome tasks, flipping between multiple screens/systems, etc.).
I tried to visit your website and i couldnt. Is there anyway I can reach you, some email? I do really like your videos and I would like to interect with you. Regards from Mexico!!!
Your videos about Lean are by far the best ones around. I wish there were more of them. You are an excellent communicator and learning facilitator.
