I think the game plan is to put Snakes with Legs in our Watch Later playlists. Videos I put in my Watch Later playlist regularly show up on my recommendations.
13:38 portrait redesigns had the bit of "you can only comment 'nice episode' under this video" so im assuming a large majority of those comments are just Nice Episode
The six challenges episode was the only thing UA-cam would send me to when I had autoplay enabled for like three months this year. I would put on a video in the background, it got followed by the six challenges, then some other random video would follow, and then it would be six challenges again. It made it impossible to tell how long I'd been working, since it was just a never-ending stream of slowly degrading Marios and Tow Maters.
My theory for the Garfield vid is it got back into the algorithm and everyone thought it was new and after 18% they realized they had watched it already and decided they should subscribe to see the new stuff bc UA-cam is serving them content they already saw
I feel like the algorithm changed recently because for the last month or two I've been recommended a lot of previously-viewed content for my "watch next", and it's usually old enough that I don't remember it from title/thumbnail. But this was also my theory on that 18%.
It’s so funny that one of my first Drawfees was the Garfield endings, I watched the first 10% and thought”eh. I like the vibe but this video ain’t doin it”. Like no joke. I was one of the Garfield weirdos
That's funny, I love that episode but it hasn't been long enough for me to rewatch it yet because I found it memorable. But it kept getting algosuggested to me, and so I restarted it a couple of times, but then remembered it too well and stopped early on. So I'm also one of the Garfield weirdos but for completely opposite reasons 😂
For a while I had a glitch where the only way I could rewatch the Heathcliff Second Panels video (which was my sleep video for about a month) was by clicking on the Garfield endings video and having it be recommended to watch next. So there's at least 30 times I clicked on that video, waited about 10 seconds, then clicked on another video to skew that watch percentage
Episode suggestion: Julia draws The Riddler and Matthew Lesko from memory. It won't be any good, but the thumbnail will have so many question marks it'll get you to 2 million.
Gee, I wonder what could happen about 18% into the New Garfield Endings episode that would make people leave? Couldn't possibly be a comment about Jon Arbuckle having an erotic effect on one of the hosts 🤔 Edit: 🤔 (y'all are cracking me up omg) Edit edit: Thanks to every single person who has not corrected me about this. The Jon Arbuckle comment is from one of their "taking it easy" episodes 😅
I feel this lol. I've binged probably several dozen hours of Drawfee content in the last few months, most of it rewatching things I'd seen. It's a marvelously rewatchable show. I think I also contributed to the short watch time on Garfield endings though because it got algosuggested to me a lot but then I remembered it too well to rewatch just yet and stopped lol
I have a playlist I listen to when I'm anxious and drawfee vods show up a lot so my rewatches don't count😭 I'm excited for a drawfee extra awards next year
I’ll put on stuff I’ve already watched while I’m playing a game where the audio isn’t important and as soon as the 4 watch time options came up it was 4 of those.
1) Nathan is completely correct about the cat child 2) "Bussy sprouts" is top 3 worst things Jacob has ever said and there is some tough competition. impressive!
bussy spouts is from a Secret Sleepover Society stream, i'm pretty sure. they were playing observation duty and someone in chat thought brussel sprouts were called brussey sprouts. bussy spouts was such an unfortunate end to that sequence lmao
There was something really nice about Karina talking about having had a rough streak recently and being grateful for her friends, and Julia saying something like "as long as you're trying to improve" that was really meaningful for me. Like, your friends can see you trying to be better and love you despite everything so long as you do.
so glad to see the original "4 artists, one prompt" video still making rounds. it was my first drawfee, and now i'm one of the yammers that got left at the gas station from the trans rigs stream and hasn't found my way back yet. truly inspiring
19:53 the hair game ringo bit was one of my favorites from the entirety of last year. i cried laughing the first time i watched it and think about it constantly to this day. please never regret it
Julia randomly sliding a piece of maple candy onto Jacob's shoulder with that goofy voice is just the energy I expected from Drawfee circa 2025 😊 Also it's haunting to think that Mother Sonny is just behind Karina for the duration of this stream
Each video is a random sample from what is essentially some "product" of the video quality, the video title/thumbnail, the youtube algorithm, fan word-of-mouth, viral hits, etc. Since those are clearly not simple scalar values (a video is not "4 good", except as a projection of the higher dimensional "video goodness" field down to a scaled, normalized, and truncated single dimension), and the interactions may not always correlate well (e.g.: that awesome video that everyone loved had a thumbnail of "fucked up Merobiba", and that's off-putting if you don't already know how hilarious "fucked up Merobiba" is). This makes the results of any of these youtube metrics essentially random, so normalizing by views isn't really needed. As another example, the fact that the Garfield endings this year had an average view of 18%, but still contributed a lot of viewers, shows that Drawfee is very successful at finding "our freaks (affectionate)" among the viewers, and that's what these metrics establish. Also, it's a funny video, and I'm guessing without something becoming a viral hit, all videos probably have roughly the same viewer count (let me just quickly check to confirm I'm not saying something immediately falsifiable). Ok, 150k-300k seems to cover the bulk of the videos, although there probably should be a further normalization for length (I'm sure there's a correlation although I can't see it by eye) and for "did Karina draw a sexy furry/Bugs Bunny for the thumbnail" (which has a very noticable correlation; the first three 300k+ view videos all have sexy Bugs or sexy Tony Tiger or sexy Other Bunny). Ok, I probably don't need to write a dissertation on Drawfee video metrics, although it's a thing I've been curious about (Drawfee also tends to exceed my generic youtube "10% rules" pretty well: 10% of subs watch a given video, 10% of viewers like the video, 10% of like-counts leave a comment).
35:53 has inspired me to pick a random Drawfee video, genuinely watch it every single day (perhaps multiple times a day) so that by next year they have no idea why its in the top 4 and probably won watch time.
I think it should be a 2025 release but itll have to be something that comes out soon so we have plenty of time. And it would help if it's in the 45min and above range

18% into the new Garfield endings video is, interestingly, just about the time Jacob _starts_ drawing Jon's head coming off... So people watched you draw a perfect replica of Garfield and Jon's shirt and then apparently decided you weren't going anywhere interesting with it so have up? Or saw the head off and said "nope, can't handle this"
Remember though that it's an average. I think most likely a lot of people watched a good amount of the episode, and a lot of people dipped out way early and brought down the average significantly
38:59 - I'm not sure if the most replayed Drawfee Extra video on my personal feed is going to populate for next year, but on the record, it's the Digimon Smash or Pass 😂

Banger episode idea: they’re given three different descriptions of the same mystery character, and after each drawing they have to guess who it is until it’s revealed at the end
Me, 18% of the way through new Garfield endings: "Damn, what a good video, now that that's over I really want to see more. I guess I'll subscribe for more content."
I started watching Drawfee because of Cartoon Hell on Dropout. It’s still there, and I give it a rewatch every now and then…. I also ALWAYS click on the taking responsibility video when I see it. Although I showed it to my wife and now she thinks I’m an idiot…
I’m not really f*cking old, but I will be 59 this year. I’ve been watching for years, even before Spheal, and I love you guys. All time favorite line is “does that mean Persephone is a chicken?” in Muppets as greek gods. Thanks for all your brilliance!
YAY for self-care, self-kindness New Year's resolution! It's mine too, and hot damn has it been a journey to get to where I could genuinely feel like "taking care of myself" was something I could manage without shame or guilt or resentment. Also, adore the self-insight and course correction. It's often not talked about, and gods do I wish more people had the courage to state it outright and stand by it.
I have a theory that those episode are the most intense destillation of drawfee and thus is either extremely enjoyable or extremely nonsensical depending on the viewer
The one character 6 challenges video is so quintessential drawfee i struggle to believe its from last year. it's just such a perfect vibe of like really good drawing and very specific interests that they are so passionate about and just good vibes, if i could only watch one video for the rest of time it would be that one
This video every year, alongside the Weekly Planet's yearly awards (featuring such classics as "Best Wig/Hair in a Movie" and "The Game is On" awards) is always an end/beginning of year highlight. If Reb's video can win both, it must be gross losses and gains rather than net. That means it might just be that it caused a lot of people to try to subscribe, click the button, realise they already were subscribed, then re-subscribe.
If only UA-cam could reasonably and non-invasivly figure out "these were the episodes most autoplayed after the watcher passed out watching an episode."
18% of "Drawing New Endings to Garfield Comics" seems to be people leaving after listening to you all talking about searching the internet for "where is Jon Arbuckle's head?"
My theory on the ancient stuff at the top of the click through charts is the algo is only likely to suggest something like “Snakes With Legs” to someone who is on such a deep Drawfee binge that they’ve already viewed all the more likely stuff, and that small sample are self-selected to be the most likely to click on another Drawfee video they haven’t seen yet
I subbed this year, and im pretty sure the original four characters one description video got me. I watched more Drawfee (main channel and streams) than anything else this year. One of my highlights of 2024 was going to one of the Bell House shows! Thanks for what yall do. I smiled a whole lot thanks to you folks.

Banger episode idea: they’re given three different descriptions of the same mystery character, and after each drawing they have to guess who it is until it’s revealed at the end
Me, 18% of the way through new Garfield endings: "Damn, what a good video, now that that's over I really want to see more. I guess I'll subscribe for more content."
came here to say one thing- REB REB REB REB REB REB
thats six things

VOD time! Award time! Drawfs are drawfin’
(To the tune of Floki’s war chant outside Paris iykyk)
Just started the vod but I genuinely love how much Julia makes Nathan laugh
WHERE IS JULIA GETTING ALL THESE CANDIES ?!?!
The impending baby bit CANNOT be how I'm finding out those two are having a kid. I'm gonna lose my mind
They've also done a cute announcement on SSS! ☺️
Specifically the second beastie ball episode and it was awesome I clipped it and sent it to my whole family
I doubt I am the statistics Georg but I did watch that "1 character 6 drawings" episode daily for a few weeks to fall asleep to. It's just so chill
I started watching Drawfee because of Cartoon Hell on Dropout. It’s still there, and I give it a rewatch every now and then….
I also ALWAYS click on the taking responsibility video when I see it. Although I showed it to my wife and now she thinks I’m an idiot…
I’m glad karina got to know the joy of terrys popping candy chocolate orange 💜
I need the algorithm to recommend me “Snakes with Legs” so I can contribute to the percentage
I’m not really f*cking old, but I will be 59 this year. I’ve been watching for years, even before Spheal, and I love you guys. All time favorite line is “does that mean Persephone is a chicken?” in Muppets as greek gods. Thanks for all your brilliance!
the ringo bit was so funny I would’ve subscribed again because of it if I could
It's finally that time of year where my constant obsessive rewatching of drawfee videos can have a tangible effect!!!
Karina looks SO PRETTY in this video, truly ethereal
YAY for self-care, self-kindness New Year's resolution! It's mine too, and hot damn has it been a journey to get to where I could genuinely feel like "taking care of myself" was something I could manage without shame or guilt or resentment. Also, adore the self-insight and course correction. It's often not talked about, and gods do I wish more people had the courage to state it outright and stand by it.
Wild that 3 of my favourite ever drawfee eps were on the subs lost! I watch at least one of these once every other week!
I have a theory that those episode are the most intense destillation of drawfee and thus is either extremely enjoyable or extremely nonsensical depending on the viewer
Only just now did I think about drawing along with the description episodes.. what a fun idea
Wait, I didn't realize Jacob and Julia were expecting! Congrats!
Yeah! They did a real cute announcement on SSS a bit ago :)
18% of "Drawing New Endings to Garfield Comics" seems to be people leaving after listening to you all talking about searching the internet for "where is Jon Arbuckle's head?"
I have watched that 1 character 6 challenges video several times. It’s just an extended, chill, funny time.
Just like the lizard calm episodes
My theory on the ancient stuff at the top of the click through charts is the algo is only likely to suggest something like “Snakes With Legs” to someone who is on such a deep Drawfee binge that they’ve already viewed all the more likely stuff, and that small sample are self-selected to be the most likely to click on another Drawfee video they haven’t seen yet
I was fully expecting a gnome when Nathan reached into the stuffed animal....
the way nathan giggled when julia put a little chocolate coin in his shirt pocket makes me so happy
I completely forgot about the pregnancy announcement and hearing "impending baby" was REAL confusing for a second
I look forward to the awards vods. Honestly so much fun and such good spirit
I'm very much enjoying the little gold coin bit going on throughout this stream
I subbed this year, and im pretty sure the original four characters one description video got me. I watched more Drawfee (main channel and streams) than anything else this year. One of my highlights of 2024 was going to one of the Bell House shows! Thanks for what yall do. I smiled a whole lot thanks to you folks.
What I wouldn't give to have a Julia in my life. She just wants to make people smile (through niceness and gnome) and I would die to protect that
1:33:18 The way Jacob just says "Honey is like a fruit." and without skipping a bit every one else, in unison agrees out loud "Yeah." and then just move on without acknowledging either of those things SENT MEEEEEEEE 😭
the 6 challenges video probably got a lot of views cause i also watched it everyday. Nathan's tow maters are really impressive
WAIT THEY HAVE AN IMPENDING BABY??? AM I MISSING SOMETHING???
jacob and julia announced it on sss in late november!
@ 👁️👄👁️ I need to watch sss more if I’m JUST NOW finding out.
They pranked us and put it in a sequel stream but the announcement was wonderful (second beastie ball stream)
Literally tummy boy IS real
Julia just doing her own thing is one of my favorite parts of Drawfee streams
The Ringo bit actually killed me. I laughed so hard I almost passed out. And Ringo is my favourite Beatle. xD
First VOD of 2025, let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
That’s a pretzel
Oh, perfect timing, was just settling down for a drawing session and wondering what to put on!
