Incredible bravery for Nathan, given the opportunity to draw anything in the world six times, to draw a car
i was expecting either a Dinosaur Lie or even a rude Ape, but he drew a vehicle with accessories

It's only hubris if you can't pull it off, so n/a in this case
I'm pretty sure the alien has those teeth because Mater is the one telling the story.
Also Nathan left out the best part of the show. Whenever Lightning questions him, Mater says "You were there too" and then Lightning gets sent into the story
Also my favorite part! And he gives Lightning a good part most of the time too. Not just there to ooo and aaw Mater. They’re great shorts ^_^
Also he fact that HIS TALES ARENT LIES! Every time they turn to drive away, something from the story comes on screen to canonize it!

Nathan is giving classic "Adult forced to watch a children's show while babysitting" energy here. The desire to share all the useless information he's learned, the incomplete understanding of the world-building, the insistence that there's actually some pretty funny stuff there. I know it well from taking care of my young cousins.

I love that Nathan not only remembered that Mater had a missing headlight, but remembered which side it was on. Really serves as a testament to how many times he was forced to watch Cars

2:09 pretty sure Karina and Jacob laughed. He does repeat the joke and there's no laughter but it also feels like there was a cut right after. Maybe there wasn't and it just didn't get another laugh but I'm pretty sure they thought it was funny.

If you’ve seen the old Knock-Off Rick and Morty episodes you’d already know how good at impressions Nathan is
Nathan is genuinely ridiculous at impressions, I get blown away by it every single time
I prefer Nathan’s Mater from memory to be honest, the proportions make him look cuter
He reminds me of 2D art for cars, like in some children's books. Honestly a better look for that medium, "3D" mater drawing looks like a coloring book outline lmao

First time he made that reference was in an episode and David made a pic of Hacker fly by the screen. I thought it was a coincidence that Jacob had said that and that it was David made the reference. I was and still am impressed at how popular that clip got. Hacker's bloopers have been to me a dear source of entertainment for a while now, but that clip in particular seems to have really taken off.

I can't believe they cloned Julia six times and forgot which one wasn't the original Julia and so made all of them sit outside 😔😔
This implies that five of the Julias are considered original, and somehow that makes perfect sense.
So unfair that the Nathan clones get to participate, but the Julia clones don't.

I am in awe of their ability to render the no-look/eyes-closed versions coherently.
Mater just straight up exploded.
They really did incredible work, making sure to keep the pieces identifiable.
I have to say that I really appreciate the little transition wipes that are being added between cast members turns at the table. That and the other little finishing touches like the word bubble showing the challenge at hand and the live countdown timer were all really good.

I have to say that I am a big fan of the editing style they've been using as of late! I like the different sounds of that classic Drawfee *swipe* sounds, paired with the new *whoosh* that signals when there is a change in artist.
I also really enjoy the clearer, colour-coordinated visual transitions that go with the *whoosh*

It also makes me super happy that Nathan is always eager to get into fandoms of the people he loves. He doesn't just listen to his nephew talking about Cars, which would already be awesome. No, he watches the show with him, actually pays attention, still remembers it later on, and gets into it so much that he talks about it at work. I love kind genuine people like Nathan.
