@@o-tn1994 I eat mostly pasture raised eggs, various meats and fish, dairy and cheese, occasional salads with black olives and cucumbers w/primal kitchen Italian dressing. Sometimes baked potato with my steak or baked homemade fries in olive oil. No snacks and minimal carbs. I drink only water. I no longer drink alcohol or soft drinks, walk 15,000 steps a day (most days), and lift weights. I'm 53. I'm not religious about it, but rarely have any bread, pasta, flour based items, etc. The biggest thing for me was cutting out processed foods, soft drinks, alcohol. I try to eat single ingredient foods and cook at home. Hand joint inflammation is gone. Dry elbows and heels gone. Vision at night so much better. Down 35lbs and no longer have sleep apnea or snore much if any. Teeth and gums much healthier and the last time I had any sickness at all was Feb. 2020 which was the coof (before I got serious about changing my food). I feel so much better now.
@tonyd981 a couple of years now. I think if you rid yourself of almost all processed foods and eat animal based mostly you're well on your way. Standard American processed food is killing us all.
Im 56. I USED to be OLD about 5 years ago. Now I can run up stairs ,do 100 squats in a row. Battle rope for 15 minutes straight! (Give that a shot sometime Big Guy!) And the most insane benefit besides feeling 25 again is NO ARTHRITIS IN MY FINGERS!!! I can snap my fingers. Its amazing. You did this to me. You,Peterson and Rogan. Thank you.
How long did it take for your hands to heal. I'm thrilled with my progress after 4 months pain wise but I still have trigger fingers and some joint deformation in a couple of fingers. Just curious. I have planned for at least one year on strict Carnivore and hope to see more good results in the coming months.
Day 35 today. Still have some aches and pains but I was very damaged over my 68 years. Weird though, I wake up with my similar pains and a half hour later they are gone. Normally I would reach for my pain pills cause these pains would get worse over the hours. I also would tare my skin bumping into the door jam. The other day I tripped into the edge of the automatic slidders at the gym, several people went ah, ooh, and I expected a huge gash. Nothing. I saw a dent in my arm and no blood, the pain was subsiding as I'm looking at it and over the days there was some black and blue. Yesterday I stubbed my toe on a curb, first of all I didn't fall, secondly 15 minutes later I felt no pain. This is amazing.
Worked for my husband recovering from knee replacement, and after all boxes ckd post surgery, he still felt tight and achy. We ate Carnivore and totally fixed. He also lost 50 lbs down to 160 and on follow up with Ortho doc...Ortho doc is trying Carnivore now too!!! Dr Valastro in Central Texas. GREAT GUY... saw the benefits for his patients trying to lose lbs for surgery, like you, Dr B, and then saw my Jim (Ribeye Ranger) look and feel so good that he's trying Carnivore himself! 💥 Keep planting Carnivore seeds everyone!
I was keto for 7 years. It helped my knee pain somewhat but I still thought I was on my way to knee surgery. I went carnivore 2 years ago and it reduced my knee pain by 70-80%. It's amazing! I no longer feel like I need surgery.
No doubt about. The pain is gone from my knees and hands. My home has lots of steps and I've been thinking of selling it sooner than I wanted -just couldn't deal with the pain. I can go up the steps without any pain! None!
I totally save my knees with the a low carb diet. I was In almost contant pain, and in just one week I saw an incredible improvement. Today I almost have no pain at all.
If I stick to carnivore diet, I do not have any joint pain. If I make the unwise choice of carbohydrates, I have hip and knee pain. Feeling good all the time is worth bypassing carbs!
I'm only 40, and very healthy, and noticed kicking out all the grains, and eating keto and lots of fat and protein, has been a game changer for me as a massage therapist. My knuckles started hurting deep down in the bone and now eating this way equals no pain and even muscle soreness from a works out is sooooo much better!!
Yes for me! I can see the knuckles on my fist for the first time in over 10 years. 👊🏻 My inflammation was so severe and every doctor gave me the same or another wrong diagnosis. It was a horrible health rollercoaster.
While I agree a study is good to make a decision about which diet to eat, my personal experience is why I keep going! Joint pain and inflammation reduction has been my primary benefit. Bloating and gastrointestinal issues would be next.
I can't do my job unless I'm at least mostly carnivore. I generally don't eat carbs during the day but have been in the habit of eating sugar after work (cheesecake, cake, cookies, Reese's, ice cream) but I DO pay for it the next day with lower back pain. I hurt it in 97' and if I eat a regular diet like everyone else, my lower back hurts so bad that I can't do what I do; screen pool enclosures, a.k.a "pool cages." I may spend several hours in a day crouched down rolling in screen and there have been times when I could barely stand back up while on top of the cage. It took me several minutes one time to get back down and I told the customer that I had to go home because I could barely move. Also, when I'm screening the lower panels, I'm on my knees a lot and regular foods cause me a lot of pain in my knees so that it hurts to stand back up and I can barely walk. I have my very best days when I'm zero-carb carnivore. EDIT: I'll be 54 this year and am still going strong in my profession whereas, other guys my age have slowed down significantly.
It helped me in just a week to get rid not just of joint pain but from daily headaches and inflammation that I suffered from more than two decades ago. The carnivore diet is the medicine we've all been searching for.
I can 100% attest to this. I has such bad bone and joint pain I was convinced I has some form of bone cancer. I had 2 bouts with frozen shoulder, one in each shoulder. Went to PT for one that lasted for months. All gone. Carnivore for 18 months.
I'm 58 in june, my md told me two years ago to come back and see him when my painful knees needed replacement.. I went keto then carnivore a year ago, 99% pain reduction. Love to hike in the mountains in summer, when some fatigue/pain occurs I do some streching and I'm fine. I think low insulin levels in the mecanism to rebuild joints.
My arthritic back feels so much better on carnivore than any other diet I have tried, it’s amazing. Is there pain, on occasion but over all it’s life changing, and after I screw it up again, I am back on my feet sooner. Not a cure but life is so much better, even if I never lost any weight it is worth it
Celebrated my old man's ninetieth birthday by going out with him and rest of the family to a local restaurant. Food was forgettable for me though others rated it highly. But what i can say within an hour of going home and laying on the boxroom floor in the dark, a ritual I partake in every night before cleaning up and going to bed my knees began to distinctly ache. Then i thought "that must have been the dessert" a chocolate sugary something or other. At the point now where don't even like the taste of fruit or sweet drinks. Carbonated mineral water or just plain water all the way for me.
Carnivore for 14 months, currently at 76 y/o. Zero joint pain. I can arise from sitting without aches or creaks and manage stairs without knee issues. Can your grandma do that?? 😂
I just searched it, the accumulation of oxalates throughout the body is called oxalosis and it can affect organs, joints, tendons, bones, ligaments, fascia, heart, genitourinary system, eyes and skin. So oxalate dumping would in the end reduce the inflammation caused by the oxalate crystals building up. However the dumping process can cause inflammation too because they have to leave the cells which is damaging as well hence there’s many people who start this diet then feel like it’s going bad because they are probably dumping oxalates too fast. I’m not a complete expert on the subject I just researched it a bit a few months ago because it was interesting but it’s an interesting part regarding this topic imo.
It removed my arthritis and even my hip pain, but then I lost weight and suddenly realized there is something wrong with my hips. They swing out of joint sometimes. LOL Now THAT was painful. But I had a problem I didn’t know I Had.
I have had RA over 20 years. When it flares the pain is really bad. Carnivore supports my liver and keeps my blood sugar in the pre to non diabetic range. I would love to be off meds...
Been 100% CV for 10 months without any off plan food and still have joint pain including osteoarthritis. So either I am a slow healer or there are non-dietary contributions?
That's what I'm doing. I'm 130lbs, 5'-5" (or I was) 68 years old. Crushed a bone in my lower back and after surgery I've been going to the gym. Only after doing carnivore (and it's only 35 days now) I am building some muscle. Instead of skin hanging under my arms I have little bumps of muscle above my arms. And after a year of hating every minute at the gym I'm finally looking forward to how well I can get. I can't wait to skip down my driveway.
My chronic lower back pain, shoulder pain, and joint pain all went away withing a couple of months of going carnivore. In addition, a chronic shoulder impingement (25+ years) from a sports injury (broken collar bone, 1995) also completely cleared up while on carnivore. For over 25 years, I've gone repeatedly every couple of years, for chiropractic treatments, physiotherapy, ultra-sound, even acupuncture to address the problem, but it always returned within a few months. The problem has completely resolved itself and I've had no problems for almost 3 years now.
It doesn't hit everyone at the same time. Nor does everyone have a high carb/high ultra processed food diet. I was eating paleo and whole foods but too high carb for me. Best to get things under control before they start hurting. I had zero pain until I turned 61. I went from occasional aches and pains from overexertion to daily pain in most of my joints and my back. It happened in a very short time. I spent a year trying to get my doctors to diagnose and treat me but they just gaslit me about growing older and accepting the pain. BS. I took matters into my own hands and went carnivore and started researching my symptoms and learning to craft my own physical therapy. Carnivore took the pain away so I can work on strengthening, posture and gait.
Yeah, but that study says "low carbohydrates and low FAT"! That CANNOT be the Carnivore diet. One would not last very long on carnivore eating low fat.
Good afternoon doc I always enjoy watching your videos I started carnivore October of 2023 I'll be 53 this coming Friday I went from 200 lb down to 170 I go to the gym 3 days a week I have really bad arthritis in my left knee and I can definitely say without a doubt my knee hasn't felt this strong during the carnivore diet. When the inflammation is gone Mr arthritis is gone keep up the great videos
Completely eliminated both chronic Ankle and knee pain after 6 months on Carnivore, although the pain was as a result of accumulated injury damage rather than osteoarthritis. Note that the pain had been consistent for over 30 years.
One other thing that I noticed for me is that my workout recovery times are faster. I'm currently doing a 5 x 5 program which involves doing squats three times a week. I've done this before pre-carnivore and it can really take it out of you but now that I'm on carnivore I recover faster and I'm progressing faster with increasing weights every second or third workout.
@@sandygentry8455 The carnivore diet (also called a zero carb diet) is a high-protein fad diet in which only animal products such as meat, eggs, and dairy are consumed. The carnivore diet is associated with pseudoscientific health claims.
@shannzgab, I've never taken hormones even after a hysterectomy when I was 48. Immediately into menopause, then I wished at least done more research. Dr. Wouldn't prescribe them. Then again Key West wasn't medical mecca. I received a guided shot today after X-ray. Don't know if anything else is going on. Would have been nice to have an MRI to really find out but they have their protocols. On your frozen shoulder that sounds very painful. If you can tolerate hormones and if it helps why not. I don't know anything about hormone therapy. If you do I hope you get well needed relief from your pain. I do know eating meat based diet for me has helped in so many ways. My RA has gone, no more IBS. Not eating carbs has been working so well for me, lost 85 lbs since last June. I know this will sound strange or nuts but rubbing castor oil on my sore joints helps. Sometimes we over do it when working, chores etc. Great for the face too! I hope you feel better soon.
I don't think age matters. I'm 72 and was disabled at 50 with chronic pain from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety and depression. Also have spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease and have had 5 spinal fusions, and told about 5 years ago that I need a total knee replacement and a total shoulder replacement. Had surgery on the other shoulder for acromion impingement and rotator cuff. Also carpal tunnel surgery in both wrists. Been mostly carnivore for over 2 years and feel better than I have in over 25 years!! No knee or shoulder replacement, and doctor cancelled his plans for my 6th spinal fusion. My pain is minimal, anxiety and depression are gone, and I am now off 8 of my 11 long term prescriptions!! I follow some therapy tips when something bothers me. Check out therapy from "Bob and Brad" on UA-cam. They helped my shoulder and knees and sciatica when I was starting carnivore! Best of luck to you! God bless you!! ❤🤗🙏🙏
I’ve been carnivore for nearly four years, no joint pains much anymore, but unfortunately I have bone spurs on my neck that were very painful, the inflammation on my neck went dramatically down and the chronic pain I was in went away, but the bone spurs must still be growing and are now hurting me again when I go to bed. It’s a nightmare for me, but I don’t think anything in my diet can relieve me of this.
I'm trying higher doses of vitamin k2 to see if the calcium in the spurs can be redirected to the bones and teeth and become smaller or go away completely.
@coomerkiller Oh that is super interesting. I've never had my calcium status quantified. I have a large frame so I didn't think I had to take calcium so I let it come from my diet alone. Perhaps I should find out where I'm at before I go forward. Years ago I took 45mg of k2 a day for several months. It made the hard plaque/calculous on my teeth become soft and friable and eventually disappear. I hoped it would do the same for bone spurs. I'll give this some more thought and research. Thanks for replying and steering me in a better direction of inquiry.
@@puggirl415 I’ve been taking D3, magnesium, K2 mk 4 and 7, plus 10mg of boron for several years. The inflammation in my neck made things worse at first, but that went right down with carnivore, I thought I was better not realising that these spurs would carry on growing and give me hip 4 years later. Motivator Doc talks about calcium in soft tissue and spurs, he says apple cider vinegar. A tablespoon with 8 ounces of water, twice a day I think he took it to remove calcium in his shoulder tissue, took about 8 months he said. Bone spurs are unlikely to go this way though, surgery to remove, but they can regrow or steroid injections to relieve. Very annoying!
My joints are great, as long as my diet remains whole foods, organic, local, seasonal, low-carb, high-fat, nutrient-dense, and animal-based. I can veer off this way of eating on rare special occasions, but it doesn't take long with diverging from it before I notice the effects.
Yes, but I have chronic pain due to scar tissue, it has reduced the pain, but I have had to go the medical route to get help. Hopefully after surgery things improve to where I feel no pain.
You might wanna look up PRP injected directly to the site. Going to Mexico for your own stem cells injected is valuable too. Yknow Shaun got a stem cell shot recently.
My knees, ankles and hip pain improved within 8 days. Amazing! I felt like an old man coming down the stairs in the morning. Now, I have zero pain and go up and down the stairs without any pain. It’s a miracle.
My siblings seem to get symptoms of joint pain. It feels like mine want to hurt too if I didn't stick to carnivore. We are all very close in age-all in the 50's decade. They are not carnivore. I'm gonna stick to the carnivore or at least heavily meat based to keep it at bay
Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 2 years ago. Since being mostly carnivore from march this year and have cut out all grains from diet, pain and joint inflamation is vitually non existant. Also reduced prescribed meds by half. 59y/o male still working hard.
Been carnivore for 10 months now. Around the 6 month mark i started getting join ache. Everything but my knees, but now it just my hands, elbows and toes. I take supplements but it only helps with cramps mostly
I have Ehlers-Danlos. I've been on carnivore for 5 months and it has helped my pain from injuries caused by Eds. However, it has not made Eds go away. It's genetic so I don't know if carnivore can do that much. However, losing weight has been good for it, because my joints aren't overloaded. I can now strengthen more because I'm not in pain. I still have full hypermobility, trigger fingers, bad knee ligaments, weak ankles, a hip impingement and a torn labrum but I think as I continue on the diet more of these injuries will heal. I think taking vitamin K2 in appropriate amounts will help get rid of some calcium deposits (bone spurs) and that getting rid of oxalates will continue to allow my joints to heal. I wish you luck and it's definitely worth a try if you have pain or weight to lose.
I am 42 yrs old.3 yrs ago I had an MRI of my knee that showed my knee to look as a 65 yr old women with osteoarthritis. My knee pain and ankle pain have gone down dramatically. I still have neck pain though. Not 100 % sure what the problem is with it.I injured it while shoveling the 8 feet of snow I got two yrs ago.
High carb vs high fat diet isnt really the question. What did the high carb group eat? Tubers and rice? Or pop tarts and cinnamon toast crunch? EDIT: the low fat group was calorie restricted while the contol and low carb groups were not. So this study seems pretty worthless comparing the two.
My lady is very stubborn. But when I get her to back off on the carbs and go more keto and carnivore her joint pain and sleep improve almost overnight.
@@Triton186 do you know why ? I am really disappointed right now. I can’t bend my right knee. I have a little boy who is very energetic and I can’t keep up with him. Yet I keep eating this way… I hope someone can tell me it will get better
Hasn't helped my neck any. Arthritis is pressing the nerves where they pass through the openings I'm the spine and pushing a vertebrae out of alignment
I know how very painful that is...with several collapsed and ossified discs in my cervical spine the pain has been awful. But it has been so much better getting all the sugars and carbs out of my diet and eating instead lots of beef and bacon and eggs. The reduction in pain enables me to sleep....this dietary change has been worth it for that alone. Good luck with dealing with it all.

This is why I went carnivore and all joint pain went away within a week
I’ve stopped all my medications and feel great!!! No more pain in my joints, have more energy and brain fog is gone.
Diet needs to be foundation for mental health treatment

One other thing that I noticed for me is that my workout recovery times are faster. I'm currently doing a 5 x 5 program which involves doing squats three times a week. I've done this before pre-carnivore and it can really take it out of you but now that I'm on carnivore I recover faster and I'm progressing faster with increasing weights every second or third workout.
Lost weight. Felt no better. Still in pain.
Me too. But still doing ameat based diet
@@sandygentry8455 The carnivore diet (also called a zero carb diet) is a high-protein fad diet in which only animal products such as meat, eggs, and dairy are consumed.
The carnivore diet is associated with pseudoscientific health claims.
Actually at an orthopedic office right now. Left shoulder issue, hoping only PT. Yes, im a carnivore but 64. Maybe age has a lot to do with it.
I just learned my frozen shoulder was caused by lack of hormones. I believe HRT is so important for both men and women!
Check out Hot and Flashy, her post about menopause. The doc is a specialist in hormones.

90% of my joint and muscle pain went on keto. Carnivore didn't confer any additional benefit
Carnivore can cure cancer, end world hunger, and end all wars😅😅
I would say yes.. simply due to the lack of inflammation in general.
It works. I don't have to take morenga to deal with joint pains when I'm on carnivore.
I can confirm. 💪
Yes it can, and did it for me.
Been carnivore for 10 months now. Around the 6 month mark i started getting join ache. Everything but my knees, but now it just my hands, elbows and toes. I take supplements but it only helps with cramps mostly
Helped mine
My arthritis is very diminished on carnivore it’s part of the reason I went carnivore was to help with my pain, it works.
Does anyone in the comments have Ehlers-Danlos or a connective tissue disorder and seen improvement with carnivore? Need hope 🙏🏽
I went carnivore and now have joint pain… what is going on
Same here, never had knee pain, after 9 months carnivore /keto I have it and can't get over it unless I don't work out.
@@Triton186 do you know why ? I am really disappointed right now. I can’t bend my right knee. I have a little boy who is very energetic and I can’t keep up with him. Yet I keep eating this way… I hope someone can tell me it will get better
I wish I knew. I am OMAD and periodic 3 day fast, seems to help some but does not go away.
I do deep af squats, strength train 4-5 a week and I have zero joint pain and never sore.
I only have the one right elbow paina nd Im not even sure its a joint pain its mor elike the muscle is locking up still.
I just know I can walk again since going carnivore.
I love CARNIVORE!! The best thing I've ever done for myself myself, beside JESUS!!!
That's probably what happened to Michaela Peterson
