I saw John about three years ago in Tucson. Still going strong at 80+. What an incredible human. Always loved Al (not Alice, though I love him, too) Kooper. Listen to "Child is Father to the Man" and see why.
igluver15 I’d go with that ! Most of the Brits who were anything in blues started with Alexis Korner’s band..Mayall was resident in the US for majority of his career I think.
I grew up on John Mayall is groups we're filled with tremendous musicians that's when I picked up the harp and got balled out for playing the Blues outside of my place in London
The dude ruled the roost Jesus how many exceptional musicians came out of this guy's pocket damn buddy s*** saw him in a little underground garage in Munich damn Fleetwood was on the drums Eric Clapton I was well
Al kooper they were vagabond seriously playing mix them up the insane bands I saw that one time at UCSD Frank Zappa was there doing the blues fascination
Wow! I thought I´ve seen all Mayall-videos :-) but this one was new to me. A professional recording so there has to be more? Where? When? Anyone know? 79/80/81?
Leny F.: I saw that same band in '69, in Detroit. They were the 1st band of 3, the headliners being 3 Dog Night.. My first rock concert. "California" is that band's best song. Now, who's got the rest of this video?
RIP Mike (11 Aug 2021). One of the greats. Played with everyone from Hendrix to Bonnie Raitt... man, just look at his collaborations: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Finnigan. I discovered him early on in the sadly overlooked Jerry Hahn Brotherhood. He was a really soulful singer as well as a great player.

Playing this writing Invoices and getting the Bookeeping done ✅
Al C and John M band is seamless perfection.
John Mayall , the most underated musician from the 1960s and 70s. He began the blues genre in England .
He's one of 'em......Alexis Korner is considered the founding father of British blues

What a Great Shoe
Saw John Mayall live in 1969, Fillmore West San Francisco. Interesting ban he had then, no drummer. Singing "going back to California"....
Leny F.: I saw that same band in '69, in Detroit.
They were the 1st band of 3, the headliners being 3 Dog Night..
My first rock concert.
"California" is that band's best song.
Now, who's got the rest of this video?
Is that Mike Bloomfield in the flashy jacket and shades on guitar?
Is that Mike Finnigan on the Hammond?
well spotted!

I'm guessing late 80's
I think it might be earlier. Al looks very young.
@@alanriley9621 - but the clothing styles point to mid to late 80s,
