I love my Atto 3. So glad I bought it. Had it 3 months now and I can take my disabled daughter out in it. Park up somewhere beautiful and use the 'Vehicle to Load' adapter to make coffee and stuff. I charge it at home and charge it to full most nights. I even got to like the interior which I wasn't too sure about at first. Especially the 'guitar strings'. Turns out they are incredible useful for storing hats, snoods gloves etc.without risk of them falling out. Had to fit the driving recorder myself but the software was there and wasn't too difficult to fit. If your thinking of buying one or a Dolphin, or a Seal. Go for it!
In relation to the BYD navigation - have you unchecked the avoid highways in settings? We were being led all over the place until we fine tuned the settings and now it is working wonderfully free without any data fees, etc. by using alternative navigation apps!
My council provided cheap or free rapid charging in my area I decided to take the plunge and buy a car it's fantastic, sadly the Council closed all the cheap and free rapid chargers and made them all more expensive than petrol/diesel and they point blank refuse to allow the new solutions for home charging in a terraced house to be fitted??!!
Where I live they took all the money of the government to install a bunch of 7kwhs and then put them on the land of council buildings so not really accessible or practical
Thanks for the video's. I'm looking at the byd atto 3 as my first ev car. I am lucky to have my own driveway so i can charge from home. i would like to know how many miles you have got out of a full charge and in which modes of driving. Thank you. :)
In answer to your question about what to make a video about i have a few suggestions: How accurate the remaining mileage display is. How to set up the charging timer to charge at off peak times. How to set up the maximum charge level on DC. How easy you found it to get insurance. I've ordered mine but not taking delivery for a few months and like you my previous (current at time of writing) EV is an ioniq 38kwh.
Reach out to Toddington Harper I'm sure he will tell you about those chargers. I am sure it is nothing to do with planning permission i expect its about grid connection.
Picking my BYD Atto 3 up on Monday, your comments have been excellent, thank you
Thank you
How long was the wait like the look of these myself
It depends on what colour you want, I wanted white and it was available almost immediately
