This shows that good music is not about one million notes in a second or a lot of distortion. Its about a good song and feelings combined with skill. ❤️🙂
This is my favorite band James ever had. Joe Leon on bass, and Sugar Boy Robbie on guitar. I was lucky enough to do a 7 day gig on the Ultimate R+B cruise with my band. These guys were there too. They were my favorite.Just awesome. And FUN.
James Harmon was like a brother to me ever country he toured he sent me postcards informing he was alright having fun entertaing and telling me that there was no good barbecue on some of the stops we shot the album cover for EXTRA NAPKINS in front of my restaurant Burrell's barbecue in Santa Ana when I hear a harmonica blowing I look to the heavens I see my brother James rocking with his harp looking in that same direction 🙏
Great track from Icepick James Harman Band,,Darlin'. I was lucky enough to see him four times live. First time in November 99 @ Cafe Boogaloo, Redondo Beach, and Camden Town, London 2016. My favourite bluesman. RIP. James Harman 🙏❤️🙏❤️
The correct title of this songs is "Darlin" from my 1993 release "Two Sides To Every Story" however this is a live version from a Chicago TV show and wasn't suppose to come out on a DVD, but did because the person who put it out did it without my permission and never made a deal or paid me a dime. Digital technology is evil. I'm very happy that you all like it... enjoy, the horse done got out already...
Alabama style from the 50's is what FAT James Harman was all about, he knew what he wanted to say and how to give it all with extra napkins! We miss you James! RIP James, so glad to we got to know you some.
Like all James stuff he's just awesome, in this song tho his mike technique is perfect, man he's the one & only James Harman, no one does it quite like him!!
I really loved this band line-up and saw them many times throughout Southern California. Many thanks to guitarist Randy Rich (of Randy Rich & The Ravens) for turning me on to them, when they performed together at Alexander's in Ventura, CA back in the early 90's! Great bands performing the best of the blues. Many thanks!!
Thank goodness someone captured a few clips of this concert to upload to UA-cam. Wish there was a DVD of the whole show! A Big Thanks to James Harman for allowing these clips to be offered here for all of us to enjoy! Wonderful!!
Actually you're partially right. The song changes keys 3 times, but he only uses two harps on the song. That's what I'm referring to because he never uses a harp on the middle key.
Saw James and his "Dangerous Gentlemen" at the Patio in Broadripple, Indiana way back in the day. Rockin' show. He can play that harp! Great voice too. Good to see he's still out there.
God I love you tube, you never stop learning, Teddy Morgan eh, I'll be looking up this disc in little ol'Adelaide South Australia. sister city to Austin Texas.Cheers Bluesswede
Yea, this is great. Really like Robby Eason on guitar with Harman! By the way, the song title is Darlin, not Ooh Baby. The song sits on the album 'Two Sides To Every Story' from 1993. Teddy Morgan on guitar on that one. Get it if you can!

Wow yeah RIP Master James
I don't know . . . the band with Hollywood Fats was pretty good too. And don't forget Kid Ramos.
This band sounds great, and of course James too.

Seen James Harman a lot back in the 80’s and nineties. Last time in the late nineties he was sporting a robe and turban!

Dynamics, Great sangin', Tone, Modulation= Killer James Harman tune!
Its awesome how the song changes from A to B at the end. That dynamic change really makes it especially for the harp!
Actually, the song goes from A to Bb to B ... D to Eb to E on the harp. :)
Actually you're partially right. The song changes keys 3 times, but he only uses two harps on the song. That's what I'm referring to because he never uses a harp on the middle key.
Dig it. Thanks for dropping a little knowlege on me, Slim.
guitar and bass perfection in this song!

Thanks - I was wondering... tasteful playing, very Funderburgh-y
Grooves the soul...;)
I like this very much. everything is in balance with harmony in the band. The sound is good, not to much reverb on the guitar, which is common.
👍❤️
Hey...I'm naming my first born child James.
Even if it's a girl....
Awesome performance!
Rip king James

Great
It's somewhere in the mid 90's. Maybe 1996 judging by the bandmembers.
When I saw him, James introduced the guitar player as Honey Boy. Can't remember his last name. He had honey colored hair.
Young Nathan James?
haq ha ha Robby's nickname was "Sugarboy" not honey close but no cigar!
Can't see the amp but the mic (casing at least) is an Astatic JT30.
you can see my amp it's the blonde Fender Vibroverb up on it's case... Robby is playing through the four ten bassman to the left.
SWEET BLUES
that is fuckin awesome shit....the ending is SICK!
