- A traditional and hearty recipe originating from the Balkans region.
Preparation time: 25 minutes.

Calories per serving: Unspecified
Ingredients for 4 people:
½ onion
1 clove of garlic
2 tablespoons of butter
1 ½ cups of rice (long grain)
1 can of diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons of instant chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon of salt
2 pinches of pepper
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 ½ cups of peas
3 tablespoons of Ajvar
½ red pepper
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of frozen parsley
Cut the onion into small pieces, press the garlic and sauté both in butter. Add the rice, chopped tomatoes, broth powder, Ajvar and water, and season generously with spices. Add the peas and diced peppers and let it cook for about 20 minutes.
Add parsley before serving. Enough for Cevapi.

In Croatia, we tend not to use Potatos. I heared that they use Potatos in Serbia and parts of Bosnia, so the dish varies slightly from country to country and often even from family to family.
Yeah potato and green beans but again it depends on region I guess. I'd use some chicken or pork too. I do like it though.
It's almost like regions and different countries exist
