Curious what you mean by upstate NY lol. Were you in the ADK's cause thats what most people in NY call upstate. Anyways love the vid. Found your channel a little bit ago and love the content. Tight lines.
Yes i was in the Adirondacks! The fishing up there is fantastic! Thanks for watching and subscribing :) I appreciate the comments and interaction with the video too. Means a lot! Bunch more videos coming!
Great video. Beautiful scenery. Its been over 100 degrees with the heat index in south Jersey the last few days. I have been doing good with black with blue flakes stick baits from zman for wacky rig and Texas rig. The elastic holds up better. Doesn't tear of the hook as easy.
I just fished a tournament today in NJ and it was hot! 85-87 water temp. I hate the hot weather, I already miss NY haha. Thanks for watching as always! The stickbait bite is hot now!
Yoo, I meant to ask you today, you got any tips for frog fishing? I get plenty of bites but I always lose em once the take it under. I run a 7’6” heavy and once I get em hooked I can never get em out of the thick stuff. Any advice ?
7’6” is perfect for frogging as long as its a heavy or medium heavy rod. For the reel make sure its at least a 7 gear ratio or higher and u need 40-50lb braid. I prefer 50lb. The biggest thing would be after the hookset, immediately start reeling and reel fast! Make sure you have your rod straight up! If the fish are smaller than 2lbs usually you just ski them in. I get a lot of pickerel bites and hits from smaller bass, which you are more likely to miss them. Set the hook hard, rod tip up, and reel fast! Thanks for watching man and congrats on yesterday’s finish!
there are ways to mod your wacky so you don't lose so much, and no it's not O rings. I've had one tied on for nearly a week now and probably over 20 fishes with quite a few over 3.5#
I used to use o rings but not anymore. The only other method i heard of was heat shrink tubing which works well. Is that what you do? Thanks for watching!

@@AlexanderBronskyFishing if you ever get a chance, fish the finger lakes in NY. Especially the northern end of Cayuga Lake in the spring.
