I personally dont think cutting Zealantis is a great play. Ive went many duels against mimighoul and every time i pulled zealantis out i returned them to the opponent face down to use their effects for myself😉 Plus the 2 or 3 free pops on battle phase because neptabyss is linked and coral is linked is just an overall great card for the utility of it.
Good to see you back, Honestly this deck list looked great. I would just recommend the deep sea king instead of ocea. It would be more impactful since it turns teus, pike, and shrine into 1.5 card starters. Them plus a water is another opener for the deck. Well shrine needs another mermail or atlantean but its still good. I would just look up deep sea king combos before using him. Also he lets you play under drool better. Plus instead of 3 drool in the main, maybe purella or domius impulse. Cant go wrong with either. If you want to go over 40 maybe adding small world would be neat or 1 diva if you think you can extend over it if it gets stopped. Another talents would be good too. The book of moon idea I saw is cool, since it can help your starters go through or bait stuff going 2nd. Elaria is ok, but it does negate ash blossom to stop the mulcharmies, so maybe only one or none. Ive also seen a crossout version get 2nd at a regional. Theres alot of options with this deck, lol 😅 Overall though great list. And graduations on going undefeated at locals. Bonus points for making a case for tidal. Hes such a cool card. 👍

Nice profile my guy. I'm playing it at 50 right now, with more engine and eria the water channeler and I almost never brick (helps that you see the 1 ofs less often). The only real handtraps I'm on are purulia, because it's sometimes engine, and ash blossom to draw off abysshrine - would also reccomend dominus impulse because that card is so dummy good for us. Would 100% be running talents at 3, and a mix of the books - since the play you said with diva + droplets to dodge targeting stuff on her is highly relevant when you're on book of moons and/or eclipses and have a great use case in breaking boards.
@TheMismatcher the books is not bad idea at all! I am also playing with a very heavy engine list with minimal non engine but including purulia. I might pick up impulses. Cards r little expensive right now and I don't know how much I wanna invest in the game at the moment. I'm time, I'm sure I'll pick up everything if I keep playing and entering events
Very good deck profile, honestly the best I've seen till now (and I assure you, I've seen a LOT of them)!! The only suggests I can give you are this: Main coelacanth cuz you would just have a lot more 1 card combos and, most importantly, a line under droll! Then, as you saw by yourself Torpedo is not that good and you could just replace or with another anemone (it came up very often to me, not necessarily for Zeal but also just as recovery) Main Mizuchi cuz is strong xD And lastly, about Shifter, I choose to main 3 Diva cuz I know it's weak but, beside being a starter, if you side Mannequin Cat + Chaos Hunter you can just deactivate Shifter and continue playing while having an extra body (level 7!) on the field. But these are just some thoughts and personal choices, overall your list is fucking great man! Oh gosh, I've seen EVERY Merm video that came out yet, and that's the BEST list I've seen so far! You man are great! Keep it up!🗣️💧🧜♂️ PS: props for not playing Armored Shark, I knew you would've recognize it's a brick and spends 13 (!!) extra deck slots.

Zelantis is broken for the fact that you are water locked so your opponents monsters dont come back but you could say at tht point its overkill
