The ham dyno is something that we do in Spain, the Spanish ham is very cherished here and it's a big part of or culture(also really expensive, so it's nice to get one for free) the hard part to it is that the ham is really slippery. Once a year my gym does this, basically they start with a smaller dyno and if you stick it you go the next round, then they keep hanging it further away until only one person can hang from it, that gets to keep it.

I generally don't leave comments, but I think it's important that people watch videos like the broken leg one. Even if it's ugly, you have to face the fact that climbing is inherently dangerous and you can never get too complacent with safety. I do agree that a little warning would be nice. EDIT: Off-topic but I really love these videos! It's nice to see you more relaxed and just having fun.

Would be fun to see you do some parkour in the streets and also see how they perform in climbing, since some of the climbing challenges they’ve done seem pretty difficult already.
I was projecting a sandbaged v3 with 2 other people at Carabiners this past monday and all 3 of us finally sent it, all 3 of us did it differently. I had to push my knee against the side of a large hold to keep my balance while i matched my left hand from my left side to my right side( without the knee i would fall off the moment my hand passed by my body) to me sending it WITH the knee was an acomplishment because nobody else could do it that way and i couldnt do it without the knee. 2 males and a female, all of us differnt weights and heights. I felt so acomplished because in 3 years of climbing i had never used a knee that way, it was a first application of that technec, it was simular to when i applied my first heelhook successfully. never had any idea it was shamed apon before this video. in my community the only thing we look down apon is taking long rests on the wall while traversing, which i still do anyways, personally im just playing a game of the floor is lava and nearly anything goes

Obviously the people jumping for the ham were in Spain, jumping for a jamón! :D And yes they make it super oily on purpose... However after several tries with chalky hands it gets easier quickly. My indoor gym organized the same competition, as a non Spanish i was speechless for a second haha

The boulder at @8.26 is at Stone Fort in Chattanooga, TN and the area is called the Super Mario Bros Boulder I believe?. Looks like he is trying one of the harder extensions maybe the V6 version.

Don't like the owies. Had to rescue friends a few times times and several times had to deal with injuries. 3 Dislocated shoulders same person each time he only trusted me to move him as I also have a dislocating shoulder so always do the same as I do, so he always felt less pain when I was looking after him, the drive from southern sandstone has to be smooth. A twisted knee from my partner falling from the start of the roof on the Sloth with their foot stuck behind the cheese block, had to lock him off, self belay to him, hoist him to free him, stabilize his knee, clear the gear above him essentially soling it, lower him and myself backdown, Then Self belay and clear all the gear while the ambulance came. One compound fracture of the shin bone, the smell of large amounts of human blood makes me gyp. Two x smashed pelvis :( and multiple other bones, had to guide in the Helicopter and take the casualty in to it on the first one. It was down at Swanage others Hoisted her up. The second one I heard the loud bang and reached the spot 5 seconds later some one was already watching the airway and another had stabilized the neck within the next 15 seconds a couple of doctors and an off duty ambulance crew already there climbing, took over. I ended up taking witness statements as soon as they took charge, she had got distracted talking to some one while tying in and did not do her bowline up properly, why I prefer figure of eight. Lost some friends over the years, mostly to peripheral activities to the climbing, like access route falls or rock fall, avalanches, one abseil failure in the alps, a couple were 8000m climbers who were not found so cause unknown, one to hyperthermia in the Cairngorms.
Those hams are really, really oily. About ppl grabbing it, the whole outside is basically skin and fat, so it is getting trimmed of anyway. I got one for christmas couple of years ago, perfect snack while having a couple beers, lasted half a year.
Dang that last one was scary..... I was in an indoor Gym once Belaying a mate, and without warning he jumped and tried to grab an over hang which just ripped the rope through my hands and sent him to the matt, thank god it was low.... the gym owners saw it all and didnt come over to say anything, I didnt even know that could happen I felt freaking horrible
