Nice older merc and some sweet wheat! 👍 Bet there's lots of shiny still hiding around there and hopefully a silver GW, SLQ, or big Barber shows up under your coil. No mercs yet this year but have scored one old US silver.

Funny, that day I went out looking for an American quarter, I actually replied to a comment that I hadn't found an American quad yet this year, was going that day looking for one and I get an American dime. lol I actually expanded my search area last time I was and got some old pennies, however a guy who worked there told me the place has been pounded over the years. I am guessing it is like you said, been hit by many but few with an equinox lol

You definitely accomplished the mission of American silver! Previously pounded just means that the chances of deeper and older stuff is much better!

well I tell you , a lot of coins are coming out in the 39 range. I am actively seeking those numbers more than any other in this park. I have only got one coin that was 3 bars deep and it was that KG5 quad but there was a bottle cap in the hole with it.

I havnt found any silver coins this year, merc is a nice find, I have 50 that I bought, and I shined them up with baking soda and tinfoil

I think that is my 4th merc this year. I still looking for this years first American quarter, and was actully hoping to find one that day, but will settle for the dime. ATB
