I agree with the other comments, the orange dress is gorgeous and you definitely glow while wearing that color. Great job and I’m looking forward to seeing next month’s makes. Stay cool if you can- we had a break from the heat a couple of days ago and I had all windows open overnight, 62 inside this morning! I also found out about the seasonal allergies- they just change with the season! 🤧😵but don’t go away. Hope you get a break soon.
I absolutely love the orange floral dress, gorgeous on you. I think the white blouse is very flattering but certainly loosen if you are not comfortable but not by much. Very exciting.
Lovely makes as always. The orange dress is a show stopper! Have a look at the Pattern Scout Vivi dress for your chocolate linen - it will be gorgeous :)
That dress! It looks so good on you. Amazingly, it still shows your curves. I think the darts keep it from overwhelming you. Even the sleeves surprisingly aren’t too much. I’m taking notes because I have a similar body type as you. So lovely!
Beautiful orange dress. Both orange dresses look great on you. The 2 previewed fabric colours are fantastic for your colorings. BTW, enjoyed you having your colours done. Interesting.❤
The orange dress is fabulous. And I wanted to say that I love the way you talk about your body. So positive and embracing of difference, even in yourself.
Great collection of makes this month, Whitney! Of course my fav is the Seamwork Patterns Sloan! Summer gorgeousness! As a large busted girl myself with broad shoulders I would not have thought I could pull those sleeves off, but, I’m thinking otherwise now as I see it on you! When I started watching this episode, I thought you could’ve stopped at the intro because you look so fabulous in your “tiger-lily orange” Love Notions Tidal Dress! Sensational look! Anxiously looking forward to what you’ve got in store for us for new pattern reveals! The brown linen piece(s) you snagged at Destashify is lovely - I love the look of brown in the summer even though as a calm summer it’s not for me. Make another Itch to Stitch Celeste with it, Whitney! I’ve made two this summer, one solid and one floral (the floral one, I made sleeveless with little effort) both in linen and I’ve been reaching for them constantly this summer. I believe you have enough fabric to pull it off! And, as one who spends most of her time in a wheelchair, I can attest to the “sit-ability” of the Celeste for those lovely outdoor concerts at the park!
Totally love your new dress! Please make yourself more and lets see a variety of fabrics and colours that suit you! But obviously only if you have time! It is truly beautiful!
Great makes! I love the Briarwood top you made. It was so nice to see it on you because we are a similar shape. For the brown linen, may I suggest a Marcel dress from Chalk and Notch. I find it so comfortable to wear in the summer.
Everything is fantastic. However that orange dress with the flowers is to die for. The thing that messes up my body is low pressures in the atmosphere. Aches , pains, sluggish, just not feeling good. I haven’t lost my sew joe but I have some sewing frustration. I decided today I definitely need to get help fitting pants. I can do it for the front but due to an old injury doing the back is to painful. So I’m taking a few days away from sewing and then I plan to go back to dresses, skirts, and tops.
I love this dress and have it along with two others picked out that I want to make for September. I am struggling with fabric. As a huge Farm Rio fan, I have tried to copy their style since last summer. I never find the fabric I want. your comments on fabric and sources as very important to me. I wear deep rich jewel tones and going into fall I don't want a light background. Yours is perfect. We wear very similar colors. Your were ahead of me as I was going to ask you about this pattern and you gave so much information in this video. I am 5" tall so I was really interested in length. So gorgeous.
I'm so glad that you found it helpful. Some of my very favorite places to buy fabric are over on my website www.tomkatstitchery.com/resources (there may even be a few discount codes!)
Bateau is the French word for boat so a Bateau neckline is the same thing as a boat neckline. I think it encompasses both a straight across neckline and one with a slight curve
Hello fellow Copper Spring! I can’t resist the coral color colors either! They are so beautiful and I fully admit to being out of control when it comes to anything in this color! Love your makes!
I want the dress!!! So funny to hear you talk about the Wednesday night concert where we met this week. Such a pleasure to meet someone who loves to sew as much as I do!
Loving the dress and striped tee on you! I’ll have to check out the tee pattern. I’ve been a member of Seamwork for years. They have over 200 patterns at your fingertips if you’re a full time member. Plus I love their podcasts!
So I checked, because I thought I was correct. The bateau and the boat neck are the same. Bateau is just french for Boat. Love the videos. Love the “Breton” to. Have fun with the new fabrics.
You look great in that orange dress. I don't usually like the big fluffy sleeves but those are just perfect, not too much. And the t- shirt is just too cute.
Gorgeous dress and I love those sleeves! I’d like to put them on a jumpsuit. I really enjoy watching your videos. Full of inspiration! I just scrolled past Sloan, but taking a closer look now that I’ve seen yours.
Every one of those makes are divine! Wow. So glad to see both the Cashmerette and Seamwork makes. On to my sewing room to copy you - again. In fact, your strappy braided sandals, made me realize I don't know where mine are .... boo
Ooo your seamwork dress looks fab! I made the Briarwood and first did shirred panels to omit the zip then got rid of the ruffle ....so good that we can play around with these patterns, I've just helped my daughter make the Pattern scout Joni which has a different way of getting a similar look !
Great videos this week! I watched Tuesdays color analysis on my start tv--bigger screen, can't comment--but very interesting. I appreciate how honest you are about your body's needs that sewing helps you still be well dressed. Do the tassels!
Hi Whitney, just love your garments this month. If you ever want anything from Spotlight here in Australia, just let me know. I would be happy to pick it up and send it on to you. Liz
I love Seamwork! Their patterns fit me well, I’m tall and “fluffy” lol, and I don’t need to alter too much, just add some to length and occasionally do a forward neck adjustment. All your makes are lovely! I’m making a Style Arc Hope dress this weekend.
I do get it about the heat, I'm in Texas. I love a light flowy dress that's very simple in style made in fun prints and bold colors. I do have some neutral as well and am hoping to make more soon. Excited to see next months Destashify makes.
Love all your makes. That dress is beautiful. I love the Tempo dress but what are some of the pattern names of other tiered dresses you've made? I don't know the "Grace" dress. Will have to look that one up.
Your dress is stunning on you Whitney! Did you know that you can purchase fabric directly from Ellie Whittaker here in Australia and she ships internationally? 😊
Absolutely love the dress 🧡 gorgeous 🧡
Thank you!!
Both your orange dresses are simply stunning!!! 🎉
Thank you!!
That seamwork dress is absolutely stunning. OMG.

Oh I just remembered that Fluid + Drape is putting in an order for Ellie Whittaker too! LOVE the orange floral dress, wear that everywhere!! 😂💕
Sounds like you are placing an order!
I absolutely love the orange floral dress, gorgeous on you. I think the white blouse is very flattering but certainly loosen if you are not comfortable but not by much. Very exciting.
Yes! Thank you!
Lovely makes as always. The orange dress is a show stopper! Have a look at the Pattern Scout Vivi dress for your chocolate linen - it will be gorgeous :)
Oh it would be but I don't have enough fabric!
Helen's Closet Reynolds Dress with that beautiful chocolate linen!
That would be incredible!
Wow all your makes are lovely but that orange you're wearing looks amazing on you!! And the floral is gorgeous!!
Thank you so much
That dress! It looks so good on you. Amazingly, it still shows your curves. I think the darts keep it from overwhelming you. Even the sleeves surprisingly aren’t too much. I’m taking notes because I have a similar body type as you. So lovely!
Thank you! Go grab that pattern!!
Beautiful orange dress. Both orange dresses look great on you. The 2 previewed fabric colours are fantastic for your colorings. BTW, enjoyed you having your colours done. Interesting.❤
Thank you so much!!
The sleeveless apricot dress is graceful and flattering.
Thank you so much!!
The orange dress is fabulous. And I wanted to say that I love the way you talk about your body. So positive and embracing of difference, even in yourself.
Aw Thank you for the kind words!
I LOVE the dress on you! It’s gorgeous! And the Cashmerette top is so cute too….
Thank you!
The dress is definitely a “statement piece”!! Love the color, the print and the style. It looks beautiful on you!
Thank you!
Beautiful makes!! That floral dress is stunning! You glow in it! Can't wait to see your next month's makes too. Definitely a good summer for linen. 🥵🔥
I would LIVE in linen in July!!! So Humid here!

That is a great testimonial of the Itch to Stitch Celeste if you have made two! Great suggestions.
The dress is a beautiful make. It looks amazing on you. Enjoy!
Thank you so much!
Love all your makes, and love your video! Thank you for sharing ❤️
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the seamwork discount code! I signed up for the annual subscription and found sew many patterns to add to my library!
Wonderful! You will love them!
LOVE the orange dress 🍊 ❤
Thank you!!
Totally love your new dress! Please make yourself more and lets see a variety of fabrics and colours that suit you! But obviously only if you have time! It is truly beautiful!
Thank you! Will do!
Love the orange floral!
Thankyou!
Love the Seamwork dress!!!
Thank you!!
Great makes! I love the Briarwood top you made. It was so nice to see it on you because we are a similar shape. For the brown linen, may I suggest a Marcel dress from Chalk and Notch. I find it so comfortable to wear in the summer.
Great suggestion. I'll look out for that one!
Even though I’m a cool winter, I love your brown fabric. It’s so rich.
It's the color of chocolate!!
Love your Sloane dress! I made the Sloane dress in a lightweight linen, but chose to draft a facing and line the dress. I'm also very pleased with it!
I bet it is fabulous!!!
Everything is fantastic. However that orange dress with the flowers is to die for. The thing that messes up my body is low pressures in the atmosphere. Aches , pains, sluggish, just not feeling good. Everything turned out great, but my favorite is your dress. Fits you beautifully! I hope you find an Italian wedding to go to. 😆
Me too 😂. Know of anyone getting married in Italy this summer?! 😂
Whitney " bateau" is a flat bottomed boat in North America ( Louisiana). So I don't think it matters. Love your makes.
Thank you!!
Bateau is the French word for boat so a Bateau neckline is the same thing as a boat neckline. I think it encompasses both a straight across neckline and one with a slight curve
Thank you for the clarification!
Hello fellow Copper Spring! I can’t resist the coral color colors either! They are so beautiful and I fully admit to being out of control when it comes to anything in this color! Love your makes!
Thank you so much!
I want the dress!!! So funny to hear you talk about the Wednesday night concert where we met this week. Such a pleasure to meet someone who loves to sew as much as I do!
I'm so glad that you came over and said hello! It's wonderful to meet other sewists "in the wild"
Love your makes, especially the dress.
Thank you!
The orange color is definitely your happy place.
😂 Thank you! I agree!
Loving the dress and striped tee on you! I’ll have to check out the tee pattern. I’ve been a member of Seamwork for years. They have over 200 patterns at your fingertips if you’re a full time member. Plus I love their podcasts!
I completely agree about Seamwork!

Have fun with the new fabrics.
Thanks for the info!
@@TomKatStitchery as a Canadian we speak some French, but very little Spanish. 😂😂. It does come in handy sometimes.
The brown linen in an A-line skirt with embroidery on the bottom could be fun!
Oh! That would be a good use for the embroidery module!! Great suggestion!
You look great in that orange dress. I don't usually like the big fluffy sleeves but those are just perfect, not too much. And the t- shirt is just too cute.

Isn't it so funny that you may skip something because of how it's presented but then you see someone else's version and you can be all "Yess! That!"
oh my goodness your seamwork dress is beautiful!!! 🤩
Thank you!
The dress is beautiful! Definitely your color!
It's just really fun!
The Sloan looks great on you, pattern and fabric.
Thank you so much!
that dress is stunning
Thank you!!
Every one of those makes are divine! Wow. So glad to see both the Cashmerette and Seamwork makes. On to my sewing room to copy you - again. In fact, your strappy braided sandals, made me realize I don't know where mine are .... boo
Btw, I made the I2S Belize and they were as wonderful as you mentioned. I will be making more - quickly!
Oh good on the Belize Shorts! I love that pattern! Boo on not knowing where your sandals are! That's a bummer!
Love that dress & striped top! I wish I could find some linen like that on destashify!
Keep your eyes open and check frequently. I've found quite a bit of linen on Destashify!
The coral print is stunning. Good job! I would rethink the brown as a summer dress but it’s yours. Surprise me!
Stay tuned to see what it turns into!!
Ooo your seamwork dress looks fab! I made the Briarwood and first did shirred panels to omit the zip then got rid of the ruffle ....so good that we can play around with these patterns, I've just helped my daughter make the Pattern scout Joni which has a different way of getting a similar look !
Yes! This is the really fun part of sewing--mixing and matching and hacking!!
Great videos this week! I watched Tuesdays color analysis on my start tv--bigger screen, can't comment--but very interesting. I appreciate how honest you are about your body's needs that sewing helps you still be well dressed. Do the tassels!
I'm so glad you enjoyed this one!
Hi Whitney, just love your garments this month. If you ever want anything from Spotlight here in Australia, just let me know. I would be happy to pick it up and send it on to you. Liz
That's so kind! Thank you so much!
The dress look fab on you. You should make it into a top.
That would be cute!!
I love Seamwork! Their patterns fit me well, I’m tall and “fluffy” lol, and I don’t need to alter too much, just add some to length and occasionally do a forward neck adjustment. All your makes are lovely! I’m making a Style Arc Hope dress this weekend.
I'm really loving the Seamwork pattern as well. Even though I'm not tall, I'm really just having to adjust the length and that seems to be it!
I would have never considered the Sloan pattern (I do have a Seamwork membership) but seeing you in yours is making me reconsider.
It was such a quick sew!!
I do get it about the heat, I'm in Texas. I love a light flowy dress that's very simple in style made in fun prints and bold colors. I do have some neutral as well and am hoping to make more soon. Excited to see next months Destashify makes.
In Texas, you do know about the heat! Whew!
I hope you did the love notions new pattern release, I am holding on to some fabrics to make that….especially for golf
Stay tuned.....
You look great in dresses!😊
Thank you! I love wearing them!
I love😊 your two dresses.
Thank you!!
Love all your makes. That dress is beautiful. I love the Tempo dress but what are some of the pattern names of other tiered dresses you've made? I don't know the "Grace" dress. Will have to look that one up.
Oh there are so many to list--go check out my videos from last summer--I think there are 3 or 4 tiered dresses
@@TomKatStitchery I should have thought of that.
That dress is really pretty on you!
Thank you so much!
Your dress is stunning on you Whitney! Did you know that you can purchase fabric directly from Ellie Whittaker here in Australia and she ships internationally? 😊
Thanks for the info! That sounds REALLY dangerous for my wallet!!
Great makes! Sundress suggestion, Pattern Emporium’s Field of Dreams
That's a great suggestion. I even have that pattern!
Eating Carnivore helped with a lot of my inflamation.inflammation. Love the makestoday!
Thank you!
That dress is gorgeous on you!
Thank you!
I wonder if bateau and boat necklines are the same thing as bateau means boat in French.
It is!
