Eddie was a musical composer on any instrument or combination of instrumental sound and rhythm synergy that could be played period! He could make a guitar speak the blues or touch your very soul by where he and all the angels of music and rhythm live. This rhythm virtuoso will be studied in music classrooms for centuries. He may be gone, but he definitely left us his music and original sound. Seems Wolfgang is very much blessed, talented and musically and rhythmically attuned, too! In 1985 Van Halen played Cobo arena and I went to the other one in Detroit to see hank Jr. and Merle Haggard. Tough call.
His live guitar solo was so refined over time it’s like the perfect statement of where he was musically. Just blows me away
