if you make over 400k a year as an influencer I feel like getting an assistant would be a good investment at that point
lol right
Absolutely!
They probably don’t make that much tbh
@@ArtSeallion THIS. Income is dependent on SO many factors. I have a decent sized following, but after removing my non-target demographic and going through 182K to 85K followers, I'm actually making more. It depends on so, so many factors beyond follower head count! I have SO much respect for Courtney. Super inspirational how she's grown such a fantastic brand!
hi!! I didnt say i wasn't open to it, but i had hired and assistant and had a bad experience so i've been reluctant to do it again X. there are a lot of people who want to take advantage of you, so there that side of it too X
LMAO editing your brother out of the photo is a big power move
do you know what the app is?
Snapseed!
Claire Fishman yea I feel super deceived lol
Big dick energy
over powered move
THANKS FOR WATCHING, guys! The editing app is Snapseed. Loved this week working with Courtney! Xoxo
Lucie Fink Hey, where is the dress from you wore in the video?
Jane K Zara!
Why, didn't I realise this before I commented!
Lucie Fink Thank you!
Thanks!
Knowing that she does all of that by herself gives me so much motivation 💪💪
+josueguren Same here!!
awh i'm so glad!
I actually follow Color Me Courtney! I love how she makes it so effortless for us to get her look for much cheaper and how she edits her content. She truly caters to the general public without losing her sense of individuality. She deserves her success! 💕
+angiemontano-agbayani Agreed! :)
awh thank you!! youre the sweetest angie! :) xo @colormecourtney
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT HER DOG!!!!?!?!
Courtney Peck how cute is heeee
Exactly!
I know. What a cutie
I was just going to say that before I looked at the comments I was going to talk about her beautiful DOG!
WE LOVE WAFFLES
I never would have thought blogging would bring in that much money..that’s interesting
if you love doing it, the money will come
$400k ? , Why m i pursuing engineering?😂jkjk!
+aseemaajgaonkar LOL!!
Sameeee
Aseema Ajgaonkar blogging doesn't have a very long average lifespan. Engineering does. "Stay in school kids." -💅
Enakshee Charitar it was a joke, laugh it out!
Aseema Ajgaonkar you too! It was just a reference to simplynailogical
I laughed so hard when lucie cropped out her brother because mood
+madimax00 LOL!!! :)
Cause thats what you get for Taking selfies. I died.
If she makes $400k, why doesnt she hire an assistant to do some of the work for her?? That would only cost her between 50k and free up a ton of time. I think that 400k number may be a bit of an exaggeration.
I have had an assistant before, but it wasn't a good experience XX
I Color Me Courtney
Color Me Courtney because she knows how to do her work ! It’s her job ! And her content is amazing
It would slow her up managing tasks for someone, and honestly as an artist will probably disrupt her creation process or distract. She's handling her own just fine at 400k/year and a couple all nighters a week.
@@ColorMeCourtney Who takes the photos when you're outside? Do you set up a tripod across the street?
This is the most informative thing I've seen about how much "influencers" actually make. Thanks for sharing!
I thought the title was "I learned how to be an influencer who makes over $30" ...and I still clicked
Yayyyyy!!!! I absolutely love her💕💜❤️Thanks for sharing!!!!
Thank you! This was extremely helpful. I have been struggling and I thought it was because my influencing primarily involves virtual worlds and gaming but I need a better plan. Wishing you both much success!
Ahhh this video was SUCH a fun one!!! I’m taking notes 👏🏻😊
+julianell Yay! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Wow, this was really eye-opening!
I would say the 100k followers for $100k in revenue is WAY off. It may be achievable in the lifestyle blogging format but in the makeup industry it’s so saturated most brands are not paying or paying too little for sponsored posts. I mainly account this to younger influencers undercutting themselves with payment and accepting too little for posts. If you want to see your real brand value check socialbluebook.com
mirrorsandhaze It’s a hard world either way. A lot of haters out there.
I’d say more $10,000 for 100,000 followers
thanks for your insight! i can only speak for me, i made a more unique and defined niche so and that can pay off ... literally! X
I think it all depends on how good you are at marketing yourself (also agree with you about what category you're in as well), but it really depends on what brands you know personally by either attending events and networking that way or setting up meetings with PR companies when you travel. I know of creators that pitch themselves to brands and are really good at that so they get a ton of deals that way. So even though they have 40k followers they make that a year in revenue. I also know of someone who have 600k on Instagram and makes a million a year because they are always going above and beyond for brands and are in new york for meetings every other week with brands trying to sell herself. Plus her content is top notch. It all depends on how much work you put into it and a bit of luck as well but building up your connections and creating high quality content is how making 100k a year is possible with 100k followers. Defs not easy though haha
@@LauraReidd Are you able to share who the girl is that as 600k? I would love to follow her on IG. Trying to enhance my brand and learn.
Im a RN my siblings consist of engineers and Doctors. There is a lot of content on the web highlighting such careers but not that of a blogger. I enjoyed this interview greatly and have also began blogging to give me a direct way to help or empower others in ways that aren't dictated by a superior. So thank you Refinery for showcasing Courtney!
awh thanks audra!!! :) xo @colormecourtney
I love this video! Thank you R29!
This girl is in Microsoft commercials right? I always wants to know who she was!
Thanks for the video These tips will help me on my blogging journey!
Connie B yesss she’s the one!!
Yup! That's her!
omg hiii ! yes thats me so nice to meet you! x courtney
When I saw the balloons, I knew it was her. Awesome
I thought she would actually be... writing something, not just taking photos. But good for her, who wouldn't want to earn 300/400k.
This was awesome, thanks for sharing 🍀
Y’all are too adorable!! This was so fun to watch and inspiring 🌸 Thanks for sharing this!!
this is SO motivating!!! Thanks Lucie and Courtney!!!
+earthseeddetroit Thanks for checking it out!!
Lemme start this blog right quick....thanks ladies!

I love Courtney!
She should come back for a sweet digs episode!
Loved watching this! Note to aspiring content creators - you don't even have to have a 100k following to make $100k.... I make multiple six figures and I only have 55k. It's all about how you VALUE your worth and that attracts abundance, ya'll!
love this comment! thanks for sharing! people never wanna believe lol :) xo @colormecourtney

Wow great video, thanks for giving us a day in the life! ❤️
I LOVE all your vids! Can’t wait for next weeks!!
Ps do you like English bulldogs? (I have one) 😂
I comment this every week lol but lucie should do 5 days of being a mom! She would use one of those
Health class babies that cries, needs to eat, etc!
+emmac Noted!
Emma C Love that!
Lucie Fink YAY!
Nah..as a art student who went to an all mother's class..I don't want to know how the moms have it. Nothing interesting there. Perhaps rather have a 5 days of being a student or something. To encourage people to study or 5 days of something else
Lysets vokter -You're literally just assuming that all moms are boring individuals with no interesting qualities or hobbies and aren't worth seeing from their own perspective.. because you took one class with moms? LOL
Wow I really enjoyed watching this I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to be and this was the perfect summary of everything I would want to do as work ☺️
All business owners need to watch this video. There are quite a few markets and industries I know who are less educated on how to work with influencers and what the occupation of an influencer.
thanks francesca!!! :) xo @colormecourtney
Is there a particular site that provided that Media Kit template (would LOVE the link!)?
Or did you create it from scratch?
Canva.com has some great media kit templates because it looks like they just created one for this video. But if you're looking for any social media templates, that's the best one.
Thank you so much!
You could even just use Microsoft Publisher if you're flat broke and just starting out.
Wow , I have so much more respect for bloggers now ! Wonderful video .
yay i'm so glad! :) xo @colormecourtney
Love this, I want to become a blogger and I agree with finding your market.
i always wanted to start a blog, but never took the time to do it. i love courtney so much!
awh thank you ariel!! :) xo @colormecourtney
This is so inspirational

Loved this video, so inspiring for someone like me who's trying to grow their following and personal brand :)
I love this! Great video. Thank you!
I really want to start my own blog but since it is such a concentrated field I don't know if my voice would be heard. Lovely video btw I learned a lot. 😊
There are 5th graders now who will be top bloggers in 10 years time.
I’m obsessed with Courtney and this video!

Georgina Marsden what app is it
Georgina Marsden The app is SnapSeed (for the picture)
do you know which one it is?
Love you lucie ❤️❤️
definitely trying this out, thanks, great idea, maddddttt
Courtney is delightful! I think she was featured in an ad for the Microsoft Surface tablet but unlike every other person who appeared in that series of ads, they never put her name on the screen so I was never able to find out who she was.
The dog tho 😍 so cute
thanks! waffles says hiiii :) xo @colormecourtney
Very informative! I love their personality too.
awh thank you!!!
I LOVED THIS VIDEO SO INSIGHTFUL
I love both outfits... they are adorable...So much information.. Thank you...
i’d like a career similar to this
Can you please make a video on body image and eating dissorders?
I'd recommend satying away from the backdrop for at least 1 foot to make sure you don't have a shadow
Very informative great video ❤️
Ok, they never discuss what exactly she blogs about...
colorful things and making funny faces
Just bullshit
They wanted to create just enough interest to make u go check her out and research things for yourself
She posts colorful pictures. Thats what I got from this
@@ye23. thanks for watching!
Ohhhhh myyyyy god !!!!!!!!!!! Yessssssss!!!
I'd LOVE to get my hands on a PDF of your pitch deck (for learning & stuff)!
Just. So. Excellent. Thank you! ❤️
Clearly she works hard and good for her. But this video also makes me sad that the world puts so much importance on vanity and vapid jobs like this than say a scientific researcher, a lawyer, a doctor or an engineer like those are bomb as fields and pretty tough to get into and I'd love to see more content focused on shedding light on those careers and the hardwork that goes into it. None of those careers pay big bucks right away starting salaries are only like 70k sigh lol but there's certainly a gurantee that in time you will. I'm an engineer and most of my close friends are engineers or doctors and I can tell you university was no walk in the park and neither is work life but its worth it because you actually are making a difference in the world or saving lives. When my friends and I get together on Friday nights the doctors are either unable to come or always half a sleep because of the ridiculous hours they work. Again I'm not hating but these are the professions that serve as a backbone of society and perhaps I'm just biased but I think it'd be more inspirational to young people. I'm 29 so maybe I'm just too old for this channel, but this particular segment was a bit vapid for my liking.
THIS. Couldn't agree more.
I'm 17 and I completely agree with you!
YES!!! I'm an engineering student and couldn't agree more too! Literally making a physical difference in the world is super cool and needs to be recognized more especially in engineering other than software.
As a former engineer, I now disagree. It probably depends on industry, but I was in the auto industry and it was horrible. I felt as though all we did was make a negative impact on this world. I was also an automotive supplier and not OEM, which can be huge. But it was truly awful. Now I blog and freelance write on personal finance. I truly believe the words I put out are now helping people every day. It's much more gratifying than engineering had been for me. I may return to engineering, but at this point it's not in my plan.
Rachel Smith Sorry about your negative experience. But please don't hate Engineering based on your experience, it encompasses far too many important fields and yours and mine are merely a dot within the spectrum. The very building you live in and the streets you drive or walk on. This is all thanks to the structural and civil, storm water and power system and geo tech engineers who think ahead at least 70-100+ years with natural disasters in mind to design complex waterways, sewage systems, power systems, roads and bridges and sustainable transport systems and the maintenance contracts to ensure they're all functioning at any given time. Also not to mention the very device you blog on. And I obviously missed out like a shit tonne of other cool areas of engineering. The point is there's so many of us who make difference in people's lives every single day.
Hi Lucie, sorry I'm late. Lately living these series. Love how modest, open and an extrovert you are . Love ya'❤️😀😎 can you pin this please
+roahanedalur Thanks for being here!!
I love this concept of the video. Though I do feel it's possibly much harder especially in the first few months of trying to be a successful blogger
What app did you use to edit the pictures? This vid was amazing btw :)!
Love that dress!
thanks! :) xo @colormecourtney
Wish I could be a blogger
+ambergastelum Of course you can! :)
That was fun, thanks!!
Love the editing apps!
