Thank You!!
Just.,,Thank you...
Excellent film.
Same as Faithful and all the rest of those Wallet Piranhas.
She had a big part in changing the world too..! It was her, and her looks that intrigued the Stones and from that moment on they started to change their way of dress and became more flamboyant and sparkling, like her..! And we all know that bands like the Stones had a big hand in changing the world as we knew it. And with the music, the long hair and different fashion came FREEDOM! The freedom to live your life the way you wanted to. You could be a bohemian, or have a nomadic lifestyle like a gypsy or an artist, anything you wanted..! Keith Richards said that from 1960 to 1970 it was like 200 years had past, and it was true, things had changed a lot! And bands like the Beatles, the Stones, etc. were at the cradle of that period of change. And so did Anita Pallenberg!!! She played a big part in that joie de vivre and great style that gave the Stones and the whole world a BIG boost! -THANX ANITA!!!
That's a good point actually.
What a load of bollo.
And now look where we are.
You are so right!
Yeah "Do what thou wilt" eh Uncle Aliester?
I enjoyed all 3 parts so much. Thank you. Her kids are amazing. Poor little baby who was lost. All that money. Couldn't someone have hired a nanny. K Richard goes on and has more kids but she is blamed sort of and she alone was left to make good on their joint debt owed to the kids. I did not remember until watching this that Brian Jones and Keith Richards had both been so pretty. Look at Richards now. Incredible that he is still alive, falling coconuts and all.
@@Kokkoz6 keiths mother raised his oldest daughter Angela.
He was a famous musician on the road.
How could he be in 2 places at one time.
Anita ( as gorgeous as she was ) wasn't mother material
She has herself to blame yho
Het was wiegedood. I don't know how to say it in English but let's call it how it's called in Holland, 'cradle death'. This still happens to a lot of people all over the world, it's heartbreaking and no one is to blame.. Science still doesn't know what cradle death is, or how to to fight it and stop it. But please let's not say that it's hér or hís fault, cause it's no ones fault. It's very cruel to say that she was a bad mother while she couldn't have done anything to save her son. Ze stond volledig machteloos...
Found this irritating. Too much sympathy for Pallenberg when both of them
we’re very selfish, had too much money and were bored so got addicted to drugs. Not a nice person at all and not enough thought given to their children and how it affected them and how they had to be the adults looking after these two feckless, irresponsible parents. I have every sympathy for their children but not Richards and Pallenberg. She lost their child and that’s what happens if you’re stoned on heroin
Self absorbed and absolutely irresponsible people.
Appreciate you for providing the film. An interesting take on a part of Rock history long gone.
Great film. Thanks a lot !
Thanks for posting! 🙂 I’ve been wanting to see this but couldn’t find it anywhere
Absolutely fantastic! To hear both Keith and Anita talk about those culturally explosive times is Uber fascinating! Just WOW!
Very cool, fotos i never seen!
Anita Pallenberg, acted in my favourite movie, Performance, and playing her own character she was perfectly cast in the role, giving to the movie her own special dimension.
Reply
Yes, Performance still beats anything for originality, atmosphere...it’s astonishing. And it probably has the best soundtrack ever.
Yes, I watched Performance again recently, about six months ago, for the first time since the film came out, and I was transfixed by Anita the whole time. When I first saw it as an adolescent, I was too drawn to Jagger's character to pay much attention to her. This time around, I found that Anita stole the show.
Wicked posting! thank U...
Excellent film!
The Sixties. I was there. It was a decade that changed everything. Everything after just seems to be a downer. Wild crazy and free, it blew everything open. The following decades are disappointing. Anita was a princess of the Sixties.
What followed the 60's was merely the consequence of the 60's.
wonderful actress......performance and candy and barbarella are cult classics
Anita is so cute in the picture where she's pointing.
We had NO secrets/ Did she have a sister or brother ? I didn't know. She would never speak about it. Thats what you call a SECRET.
She had a sister. I guess she really left the past in the past.
One of the sexiest women of all time but she didn't age well and by all accounts was a terrible person.
She was gorgeous though
She was lovely. So lovely. Lovely as pure snow.
It would have been interesting to see Anita age without a life of cigarette toxins. More a Jane Fonda perhaps
This is an awesome documentary. I have trouble believing that this autobiography they supposedly "found" was actually written by Anita ( -Who writes an autobiography in their third language? She was German-Italian.) But I guess any commemoration written by Marlon would be much more truthful anyway seeing as he was the only one lucid during those wild times.
Amazing, all the films I saw with her, I was not aware it was her. I did know anything about her in the 60's
Bohemian aristocracy : no wonder she & MaryAnn Faithfull hit it off
This is a true account of charismatic Anita, told by Keith, Marianne Faithful and Anita herself. Its fascinating and tragic but you do come away with liking her. She's a one off.Stronger than any of the Stones,no wonder Keith couldn't handle her.
She was really nasty. I remember hearing about her and Brian Jones leaning out of an upper floor window, laughing and insulting the mother of Brian's latest baby. She brought the baby along with her father. Brian didn't want to know as usual. She trashed Bianca Jagger's clothes and was horrible to her. Also Keith admitted she lied about Brian constantly beating her up. Groupie.
@@yves2694 yeah I’m not impressed with her AT ALL. A bad mom.
13:39 I always thought Jagger looked way cooler before he started dancing around like a dork.
?He really does dance like a dork. Perfect description. 🎉
I don't believe her rendition of events...my thinking is she manipulated Both Brian and Keith... sexually, mentally played them. She comes across as a user of people... good at pretending, a good actress. I feel in love with a woman exactly like her...lies, lies, and lies. Anita was able to shed her skins with a smile
Just beginning to watch. Rare photos are great to see - but why doesn't the narrator have an Italian or German accent in keeping with Anita's background?
I never noticed how much Anita looks like Keef's wife Patti Hansen.
@простадівчина l don't see it except they're both blondes. Imo Anita was more attractive but Patti definitely aged better
@@DonnellOkafor-r2d it is also the money and the stress. possibly that has a take in the long term
Her waist is so tiny in the photos when she was young in that elegant "peasant" skirt. She was blessed with strong genes.
Anita never looked the same twice
Oh my God, I thought it was just me! I kept thinking over and over, she looks different in every shot.
@@ExplodingPsyche Lots of Crowley followers can shapeshift...It's MAGICK
Whoever chose the voice actor for Pallenberg needs to be fired immediately! (Insipid and nothing like the real Anita.)
Scarlett Johanson is her voie
@@user-yo5el7nz2v Fire Scarlett! I could do a better Anita and I'm a guy!
@@user-yo5el7nz2vAnita was better looking
Don't like it either. She sounds conceited; self important. Marianne Faithfull would have been just right for this.
@@DonnellOkafor-r2d No, she wasn't.
Very cool, but why not a European actress for the voiceover?
I mean, it wouldn't have been that hard to find someone with an Italian accent. The American is awful.
@@avalondreaming1433agreed!
Alexis Bloom and Svetlana Zill said they had tried to get a European actress to do the voice but known of them came close to Anita's allure and essence. Personally I actually like Scarlett Johansson's voice as Anita, so soothing but a sense of intensity.
@@lilmissrockchick4962 It's Scarlett Johansson!?! that plastic little mediocrity? Good Lord!
@@lilmissrockchick4962 Extraordinary! But, if that really was the problem, it still doesn't explain why they didn't get Scarlett accent coaching, so she could at least sound like a European.
It’s a drag that we will never hear Brian’s side of the story.
He was a severe drug addict and alcoholic. Brian sealed his own fate.
Prince Stash could perhaps help here.... but ideally you would need to be some sort time-travelling of acidic satyr entity.
@@shadrach6299 I think you're confusing the chicken with the egg
@@shadrach6299 Don't judge! She became a heroin junkie herself. She was addicted to the drug most of her life,She died due to complication from hepatitis C.
welp ya could sell yer soul to Old Scratch and maybe he would introduce ya to Jones
She was like other girls born near the same year as her who like Marianne faithful, Michelle Philips , Cass Elliot,Janis Japlin.where at 15 they left home and headed to where bands were singing and hanging out and met up and started getting noticed and known beig with them and thats where it all started; from been a baby boomer to becoming a good target for the high life of sex drugs and rocking roll lifestyle which became the mind controller she left Brian from his mood swing crazy humour she had enough and keith stepped in and they were together for 12 years and Marianne with mich for 10 years with Anita having 2 children from keith and still taking drugs and Marianne heading and spiralling out of control from all types of drugs going and at that time her habit got out of control her and mick had enough he was getting himself together as mirianne couldnt stop and they split up i think for a while she remained friends with Anita and Keith all still doing drugs abd stayed with them and things got from worse to worse where Marianne movwd sleeping on peoples floors couches sometimes on benches in the street .but in later years she ended up getting her life together and remained friends with Anita and Keith and unfortunately in 2022 Anita passed away which id say Marianne was devistated and had survived cancer 3 times Covid thst nearly killed her and now at the age of 82?Shes still alive shes wrote a book and deeply misses her pal Anita.Rest In Peace Anita🙏🕊🕊🕊🕊🦋🦋🦋🦋❤🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐💐🌻🌷GodBless You.I Hope your In a beautiful land of make belief 🙏AMEN 🌹🙏🦋🌻🕊

Wonderful. Very mooving (and aren’t “the kids” cool) and one if my favourite songs over the end credits.
The voice-over should have had husky German accent. Certainly not a harsh American one. Otherwise , quite excellent.
mmm .... or an Italian accent ..... but at least S.J. keeps the 'vocal growl' to a minimum, and does have family connections to Europe .... pity that Anita increasingly became trapped and side-lined, and gave up her own interests and career.... but, all's well that ends well enough ...... enjoyable documentary (though sad at times) of a real icon of the 60s and 70s, who survived to tell the tale.
The Film was narrated by Scarlett Johansson. A great choice in my opinion, for many reasons.
@@DarylBark yes,we know.....but this needs a "re-mix" , for many reasons
No don't change it, the voice fits very well!
@@baronsaturday9560 it must be changed .
i though Pallenberg was a hanger on a groupie? acid or modeling i couldn't do both 🙄she shed no tears when Brian died
incredible film 💓
Reminds me of a song ' you're just someone I used to know........ 😢
very nice…
Keith's voice sounds like the child of a union between him and Hitchcock, with a bit of upper class thrown in😅
How would you describe Marlon's voice?
great film music. what is it?
para mi gusto este tipo de personajes no tienen ningún interés, sólo el q un buen documental les aporta.
Where’s the rest of it?
There are Parts II & III on this channel.
13 in 1973 i took my first hit of acid, right after i tiok it, my friend calls and says, come over, ive got floyds new album, so i go over and im just feeling the effects and he puts on darkside of the moon, that night i called the guy and bought a 100 hits, 50 ¢ a hit, usually 2 bucks, i tripped many times a week for the next decade, that first was called purple microdot, tiny pill.
😂far out, man!
My memory of tripping and listening to that album includes looking at the cover. every time I flipped it over and looked at the other side it would look completely different.
Mine was orange sunshine, still see flashes of color 55 years later, now and then
Ok.
Those were the days... When everyone would go to each others flats to listen to the latest album while getting stoned together. Fond memories. I remember the microdots 😍Crazy man!
is this Keith voice ?
The voice at the beginning is Keith's & Anita's son, Marlon.
The witch who took blood from a dying man to cast spells....
Where's part two?
In yer pants, Bahaha! 🤪
Prince Stash said this isnt how she met Brian.
Any shots of her in Barbarella ????
There are clips from Barbarella in Part 2 or 3.
Thats whats her name from the avengers doing her voice
Vercia 😮 como fumaba esa gente ( cigarrillos) de lo otro ni se diga pero tabaco ,WOW 😮
I am also German/Italian. The best hybrid!
Thanks
Who is or was Pallenberg?
Brian Jones was such an ass.
I agree.
And, probably very mentally-ill.
Eastman, Ono and Pallenberg. Successful groupies.
Mick Taylor left The Stones cause of Anita Pallenberg influence. He was disgust by it.
Then The Stones lost their way and become a POSER
Nah Taylor left Stones cause they wouldn't give him song writing credits, Time waits for no one an example
A European and sophisticated accent would have been fine.
Why not mention: "I've just been a fortunate spoiled ignorant brat at all"? Too much iconoclastic and incorrectly polite?
What the name of there film where she kills her pimp?
Volker Schlöndorff's "A Degree of Murder". I need to track it down.
@@johnpjones182 Ok, yeah thanks! I had no idea she had film experience prior to Barbarella.
Seems to me there is way too much telling us how great Anita is when she is not doing anything that great except being an attractive young woman and hanging out with famous people. Her memories sound suspiciously copied from Stones books of the last century.
Shes was a nobody groupy
What ? I don’t think so …
She was the Great Tyrant of the City of SoGo!! ("Barbarella" is a major guilty pleasure of mine).
@@johnpjones182 But the voice wasn't hers. It was Joan Greenwood's. And it was that husky voice that really made the part!
Not true at all, @benbumdred2226. She was the girlfriend of two members of the Rolling Stones, never a groupie. Brian Jones blew his relationship with her through his drug use. In her long-term relationship with Keith Richards she was the one who wore the pants. When push came to shove and she had to choose between Richards and heroin she decided she preferred the latter.
@@mkq77 Scarlett Johanson me thinks.
I met her near Rome in the 90ies when she was visiting family and told her about my passion for psychedelics, she did not seem interested and I thought she was a serious person, felt stupid revealing her something that I assumed we had in common. RIP anita
I admit. I have always been secretly in love with Anita. 😳
Don't let Keef find out.....
Heroin sucks!
