Interestingly enough, my project requires plantigrade feet, but they need to look more lanky and I need to look taller. My plan is to strengthen the structure by using an aluminum or steel frame with hinged titanium rods encased in molded rubber for the toes. Though heavier and pricier, the rigid and flexible design could even allow a person to run with practice much like Flex-Foot Cheetah prosthetics.

About 60 to 70 bucks, and that's just the cost of materials I used, not the extras left over, since you can't just buy one of some things.
