One of the few DUST sci-fi mini film that hasn't had a cliche depressing ending.
I had the pleasure of Grading Seechers, I just wanted to say thank you for all your comments, they mean so much to Director Natalie and her Seecher team! What an amazing platform DUST is, thanks for having us.
Hope you gave it an F...
For _fantastic_ !
@@scottmartin7717 :D
hope you will make a full movie soon, the idea is brilliant
No Garry - Seechers' graded you. I hope for your future karma you understood the message its conception was delivering to your frontal cortex to assimilate, and it integrated its complex perceptual information for your future cranium growth.
Thank you for sharing this with the world. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. It was great. ❤❤❤
The acting, the script, the camera work, the scenery and the imagery... this would make an excellent mini-series.
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Much appreciated.
The focus puller could use some practice
@@nomadikmind3979 Matt, because of your comment I re-watched it and perhaps you may be right, but all in all, I very much enjoyed the camera work. The camera is a powerful tool in fleshing out a story and it was used quite well in the set-up of the scenes.
I wonder if Natalie has had bites in regards to an interested taker?
We’re working on it! Thanks for re-watching! ❤
Like it so far. But the narrator sounds too Lord of the Rings y.
this deserves so much more attention and praise. totally needs to be expanded into a full length feature. one of the best of DUST's recent offerings
Thank you! We worked very hard and super appreciate your kind words, encouragement and support 🌹
"seechers", "jumpers", "pushers" they could almost make a trilogy
Hahaha - We wish :D
There was a comment posted by mark cooper 6 days ago that was ridiculously harsh . He stated he was 62 ..........
hmm ...... and i turned 58 in March ? . Uhmf ........ poor guy just never got passed War Of The Worlds or something idk .
Brilliant ______ Clean ______ . (The pressure must be palpable at the top of your game Natalie Kavanagh . Loved it) Hey mark cooper ...... this one left you in the 'Dust' is all .
Alright. Now when does this become a series because it's that good.
As soon as we can is the answer :D Thank you for your kind words and support. Really means a lot. Thank you!
First episodes are best, leave your imagination to work and conjure up more.
@@nataliekavanagh825 You are super dope can you give me your email to reach you i would like to talk about future works
Mainstream media don’t want humans using or even think of invoking an imagination.
Man there's so much of this stuff that just gets lost because either the funding wasn't there to make it a full length movie or to make more parts of it to make a series that it starts to just disappear after a while. I was watching something the other day and it was really good but now...by the time they start on adding to it it would be too late to at least some extent.
It's a neat piece of world building and the film is competently done, but this feels more like a pitch than a complete story in itself.
Maybe it is
The majority of sci-fi shorts are exactly that.
I could imagine this going on for 6-7 seasons.
I just discovered this short. This is so much better than the s I-fi on tv or the streaming apps!! I hope this becomes a series. I’m hooked! Well done to the script writers, directors, & the whole team!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. Much appreciated ❤
Finally a story without open end. Great movie.
Thank you!
That was excellent! LOved it! And nailed the ending except looked like he left his blue ray gun behind for them. Think i'll buy the book Beyond the Mirror: Seechers.
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. If you go to our website and subscribe, we'll send you a free audio book download.
The mention of the blue substance gave me Zima Blue vibes from “Love Death and Robots” ❤️
Kernel of epic movie franchise!
Intrigue, mystery, justice, suspense, romance, hope, adventure, and heros all dream we could be.
Excellent story, greatly enhanced by mystic narrative, amazing actors, script, choreography. Simply amazing, delightfully amazing.
This definitely need to become a series or a movie! DUST, can you? Please? 🥺💖
Edit: I wanna see them actually control reality. I'm not satisfied yet 😭💔
Thank you! We really appreciate your kind word and support 💐👍🏻
13:55 Mr. Anderson.... We meet again
Agent Smith is my favourite Matrix character. The bad guy in this film reminded me of him too.
How he held his gaze forever without blinking or looking away was unbelievably extraordinary. Top notch acting.
Perhaps the best Dust short film in a couple of months. Congrats!
Thank you 🌷
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THESE SHORT FILMS TOGETHER...THEY KINDA GETS YOU THINKING ABOUT THING'S....LIFE, LOVE,WAR, PEACE, AND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE TRULY FREE, SO THANK YOU ALL AT DUST AND THE AMAZING CAST OF ACTOR'S AND ACTRESSES.☮️❤️☯️🅰️🌍🌏🌎🏴🏴🏴🍺😊✌️💣💥
_Dust_ is a platform, kind of like a television channel.
They kindly provide independent film makers with the opportunity to show their work, but take no part in making the films, which is why they sometimes, but not often, show fms you may have seen on other channels.
By the same token, you may see films on those channels that were first premiered on _Dust._
Too much emojis. All caps. Stupid detected
thanks for your kind words and sharing your thoughts. And bringing some colour to the comments :D
A film with nothing but talking that held my interest from beginning to end...very rare...and...very inspirational.
Wow! This is really good. This is the type of science fiction I enjoy! I must be hungry though because I can't stop thinking about that bowl of spaghetti that got left behind.
Great stuff! :D
😆😆🤣
his acting is on point, great screen presence
Yes Kristian Wilkes is fantastic.
Awesome!! This is the kind of series that I've been looking for
When I first watched this I thought, "Huh, something wrong" and now I figured it out. The lad left the pistol he used to escape behind when he left at the end. Very important to check continuity when editing.
Otherwise, brilliant, needs to be a series.
Thank you 😊
Great deeper story here, as a huge admirer of cinematic effects I must say/write that I really enjoyed the color grading used in the movie, it’s moving the whole thing up to the next cinematic level. Thank you! ...great ending...
Color Grading?
@@jonorgames9880 did they use the Viridis color map/palette?
Too technical for me, you guys.
Push button, film, snacks...bliss!
@@Anonymous-ng1ze Thanks - it's a bespoke grade designed by our coloursit Garry Maddison.
Thank you. So glad you 'got it' and enjoyed it. We really wanted to make it look like cinema. Andy Horner, our DoP is magic!
I hope this becomes a series! I'd love to explore this world more.
Excellent film, acting, everything and story.
In the theme of 'Imagination to Reality';
I read an article a few weeks ago about a company that is filtering their local air ... and turning it into Diamonds.
They are Crafting DIAMONDS out of Thin Air!
If we humans can imagine it; we can do it.
Think of how people would react 100 years ago if we said we'll be pulling diamonds out of thin air.
... yet, we can, and it is now being done.
Nice 👍🏻
Oh, yes! I see this is as a limited series on Netflix or Amazon. Superbly done. Thank you so much!
Thank you! That would be our dream come true! :D
Would some of you people that like sci fi stories please subscribe to my channel?
@@ExposingTheOldWorldOrder yeah what is it? and do you want to do a feature on Seechers short film and book :D
@@ExposingTheOldWorldOrder Oh great. Yes it is. What's your sci-fi blog UTR?
This is amazing! I've watched it several times, and I'm nearly half way through the book (get the book, so much more world building). This needs to be a TV series or a film! Like now!
You’re amazing. Thank you for your incredible support. We’re working on it! That is the dream we’re driving towards… book two out next year as well! Onwards and upwards… don’t forget to leave a review on Amazon when you finish the book. So deeply appreciated 💐💐💐
WOW !!!!! You could have made a full-length movie with this
And probably should! Full time job to get the funding though
The best thing about streaming services is that they are investing in a fantastic mix of content, and talent
Bye by hollywood
@@avanap8096 :D
Excellent premise. Definitely worth reading as a novel. A full-length film would generate a huge following in my opinion.
Thank you for this superb short.
Thank you ❤ we really appreciate your kind words and support x
This is better than all of the Netflix teenage series combined.
Aww thank you for your kind words. We really appreciate the support! :D
Politely asked to give this a gander. Glad I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
what a great piece of filmmaking! to be honest, at the very start i thought the acting was off, but after gettng the gist a little (i didnt read the synopsis) i understood that Aris needed to be hesitant and awkward. this could be a great intro into a world of infinite possibilities. please run with it! GREAT JOB!!! nice touch saving the bad guys for last....
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement. Means a lot 💐
Great short! One minor glitch: he left his freeze gun on the table.
I would love to see Seechers as a Netflix series. 🤩
Netflix? pffft too commercial, too lame. Now then, the “Dust Channel”? I’d snuff Netflix in a heartbeat and subscribe to Dust. Frankly Netflix is a bore, uninspiring, dull and predictable. I’m not saying everything on Dust is spectacular but at least most of it will give you pause and cause you to think.
We'd love that too! :D
Among other things a lovely emotional texture to this film. Thank you. Press on.
Great stuff. Thank you for your feedback and support. Pressing on!
You have this old gramslams interest up. The whole idea is of interest in its self... Well done❤
Oh yes I like this!!! This definitely needs a good series adaptation.
Well done guys 🔥🔥🔥😎👌
This is Awesome !!!!!!
I'd love to see this storyline expanded !!!!!!
Amazing acting !!!! Really hope there’s more to come 😍😍😍

Perhaps you could point us in the direction of your own body of work, so we can witness how an expert, such as yourself, goes about it.
It shoukd be quite a treat for us.
I'm really looking forward to this, so thanks in advance.
I thought the acting and the story was pretty average
Thanks lovely. We really appreciate your support and kind words. That's the dream. We're all dreamers here right :D
How is this guy's face so damn chiseled??? 😍
Loved this one!! Great imagination!
Most awesome well done in a way that captivates with the intensity that absorbs you right in by creating good feelings towards Aris and Maya and develop despite towards those who would harm them best of all it is all done without showing the senseless gore that too many film makers rely on for making a storyline.
Dimension hopping time Skipper. That was cool. He opened up a door too other universes.🔘
This is good! Why has Netflix not picked it up ??
Poor guy didn’t get to finish his pasta... Great watch and loved the ending!
I thought the nutcase, having beaten up our hero, was going to scoff the pasta on the way out or throw it up against the wall. 😂

"Somebody toucha my spaghet!" :)
Bloody awesome, well done everyone involved.
Absolutely loved every bit of this project. Seeing the Seechers world come to life at the Old Royal Naval College blows my mind every time. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Thank you Marc. You've been incredible!
DUST is a word that means never ceases to amaze.
This was so intriguing! I'd love to see even more shorts set in this world.
Outstanding all around with writing, acting, visual effects, and having the viewers wanting much, much more. Thank you and I hope that you find funding to make a full-length story.
Thank you for kind words, support and best wishes. We really appreciate you to take the time to comment. Much appreciated :D
Everyone has the innate ability to produce the manifestation of a Postulate, They have just forgotten. Be the "SEECHER" !
Seems more like a pilot than a short, but it's very compelling and certainly leaves me wanting more.
Thank you
That was amazing!!! The underlying premise was exceptionally fascinating and the acting was first rate. Altogether a very enjoyable adventure that has an unmistakable yet invisible draw to a place where our imagination is the only limit. Loved it!!!!
Loving your comments here. Spot on. We've all got so much potential. Every person has. Our imaginations are both our freedoms and our limits. :D
Another dull day.....bites the DUST! 😃
Whoop
Need sequel! This needs to be a Netflix series honestly
Yes it does!!!!
We'd love to see more of the "SEECHERS" universe! If you'd like to keep up with Natalie Kavanagh's work, be sure to follow her on socials linked in the description above.
There's enough transinhumanist propaganda on Netflix already. Give it a rest. If it's not transcendent spiritual transinhumanism BS, it's sci-tech transinhumanism garbage - but usually both combined... Escapism doesn't have to involve super-humans with superpowers.
I liked the special effects and CGI. The short had a sense of style and the acting was good.
Damn Natalie now I want to see more please.
This was a very unique and suspenseful experience and I loved it thank you!! God bless be safe
When I read some of these comments I'm not sure if they are fully sincere or just being nice & encouraging or actually joking!
They're real...can't you feel it?🧕
@@KN-pn2lt yeah I know, however I like to think people are kind of exaggerating for the sake of encouraging a bunch of new and upcoming independent artists. Otherwise, I would be very suspicious if these people have ever watched a decent (not even great) short sci fi film. You can easily find a lot of good ones (way better than this one in many aspects) here in Dust. I dunno even if I can call this a short film, becuz it feels more like an introduction (and not a very good one at that) to a longer story. It is 17 minutes of exposition and info dumping about a very non original concept. By the way, I'm trying to provide some constructive criticism here. Cuz otherwise the people who made this piece will be hugely misled by others reactions and comments and won't try to improve their craft.
@@lavidaescorta3220 there's no need to compare. If you don't like it, u can leave.
@@lulu9421 Who's to say if there's a need to compare or not? By the way, when people say something is amazing or "the best", they are also doing an evaluation and comparison in their mind. If someone says a short film is good only when you don't compare it to other short films, don't you think that praise simply loses its value and meaning and in fact sounds more like a negative feedback?
@@lavidaescorta3220 I get your point, okay? But the thing is, ever thought of those ppl never watching anything as cool as these shorts on UA-cam ? Maybe this is the first time they stumble upon something professionally produced on UA-cam, just like me when I first discover them few years back. They are speaking the truth.
aaaaahhhhhhh You've done it again! You give us a tiny, savory morsel, but we want more!

Definitely a series!
Excellent and Thank You all
This NEEDS to be a series
Thank you 😊
A beautiful fractaled subtext of the human possibilities❤️🙏
❤ thank you for your words
A " Seecher " would NEVER use a Microwave Oven......EVER.
It was ok but had a very familiar feel story-wise. I mean, a secret group with special powers, bad guys trying to seek them out and destroy them while endeavoring to harness their powers etc, kind of seen it before. I didn't think the male lead was that good, he was a bit flat which affected the tone and connection to the character. Also, I just felt everyone was trying to be a bit too serious which in a short film can feel a bit forced and untruthful. Anyway, just my opinion.
Love it! I would watch seasons and seasons of this!
Watched this yesterday. Today I read the book. Seriously hope that there is more to come!
You're a total Seecher LEGEND and possibly a Potential :D Watch out Aris :D THANK YOU
This is a book?? What's it called?
Would love this to be a series!!! The possibilities are endless!! ❤️
This is really fantastic. It feels gritty while emphasizing the power of imagination. It's what we love as children, dreams, creating, limitlessness. This brings those dreams back to a more cynical adult life. This is a great movie or series concept. If you can't get the funds please at least write a book. It's an amazing world you've created.
Thank you for your kind words! We have written a book and launched the audiobook too! The first of five… type Seechers into Amazon or see the too pinned comment for the link!
You're Great!... DUST and also you are fantastic direction of si fi short film 👍 and you are only one hope of Scientific film maker for science lovers,
Thanks for making a fantastic topic.
_Dust_ doesn't make the films.
_Dust_ allows independent film makers to show their work on _Dust's_ channel, although they probably have a set standard for the film makers to meet, when they submit their work for consideration.
Superb as always.
THANK you dust, it is magical.
This looks promising.
This needs a movie!
💗
I'm a sci-fi fan. The way you took us from the back story thru the escape was masterful! I'm no wordsmith so I'll just say - WOW! Make this a movie or series P-L-E-A-S-E! I would happily line up to watch more! Incredible!
AWWW thank you! You're WoW means a lot. So glad you enjoyed it and would like to see more of our show.
When is part 2 coming? This should be a series. Great production. Good acted. Very interesting story.

Didn't he leave his blue vapor weapon on the table in the interrogation room???
Fantastic concept, and very intriguing! Only criticism is main actor seems he needs more experience. Nice cinematography too!
Brilliant, need to see more!!
Thank you!
The part I find hardest to believe is that a supposedly smart professor, in possession of restored ancient texts containing secrets so important that they need to be kept in a secure facility, would leave said texts on her desk in an unlocked lecture hall.
Another great short from Dusk. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not _from_ Dust.
Shown _by_ Dust.
Independent film makers submit their work for consideration.
Dust selects the best and we get the benefit of not having to pay the usual film channel fees.
Great, isn't it?
Thank you!
Clearly, this is a pitch to open up a bid for a fully developed film. Nicely done - I think it could be well developed if they don't fall off into witchcraft and wizardry - would ruin any possibility of being interesting.
Lol - No chance of that :D
Well done guys!
Much appreciated :D
I literally need to know more. The lead actor was mesmerising. I,m invested. Maybe i,ll attempt dreaming part 2 tonight. And 3..4..5..
