That was honestly such a beautiful film. It made me quite emotional actually. I feel that the "homeless man" was a literal angel. To be able to let go when it's time is one of the greatest gifts. And sometimes we just need a little help. I really loved this 💚
Excellent piece of cinema and a stark call-out for those of us who live trapped in the past. Or rather, an excellent reminder about the balance of past & present and how they affect our future and THIS very moment. The STR!KE still rolls on! (Support writers, crew, and cast! And don't scab!) I'll be keeping this film on hand for re-watch to remind myself when I need it. And I think I often will. Truly, thank you (Dust & the filmmakers) for this film.
Reminds me of when the Lord Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matt 11:28-29) 🙂 This was really creative! Thanks for sharing! I loved how it depicted "just joking" or when we can trigger each other. Nice details.
Thanks @watchdust for featuring PICTURE WHEEL 🔁and thanks for checking it out and sharing your takes everyone! Love reading them🙏 My new feature film Under My Skin is available now x David
I'm so grateful you reposted this. I hadnt seen it before and its awesome! I expect it should be used in every intro to psychology course as a fantastic metaphor for how so many of us wander through life with our minds on the past (or future). Thank you!!!!!
The use of the homeless man to take people's picture wheels away was an interesting twist. I wonder who he is supposed to represent. The past in human form?
I would gladly pay so much more just to get rid of some of my memories :( The problem is that I cherish those moments even though it ended badly and a part of me wants to hold on to them.
I really wish DUST didn’t have all these repeats. I only recently learned about the channel from my barber and want to watch all the videos without having to watch them again (unless I want to).
This makes me wonder if that old Hollywood Screen Writers strike is still ongoing o without a settlement or ratification vote, yet... If so, then my gosh it must be over a year gone by already since these platforms started honouring the screenwriters strike by only showing repeats and no new material. Edit: I stand corrected... The strike hasn't been over a year (although, it seemed like it was)... It's only been since May 2nd, 2923.
Strange cool and relevant 😎 Dust does the business again think we should all learn to let go and grasp something different or new....there's a lesson there.....😊❤❤❤
I thought this was lame until the last two minutes which tied it all together in such an intriguing fashion. and made all the parts I thought were lame meaningful af and thats good writing imo.
I get the point 😢 its sad how memory's are always spinning around the head stopping us from moving forward with life.. but this was also as boring as a sad life 😔 trust me i know boring and memory that haunts me..
Hiya! if you'd like more background - it was sung by Alex Russell (SWAT, Chroncile) and written by Alex and Benjamin Speed -- The concept for the end credits song was dark circus vibes, as if the singer was a carny spruiker trying to lure you onto a ride from which you never return. Or a carousel you can’t ever get off • @alexrussell and @mrbenjaminspeed had composed the song. And Alex was going to write lyrics and record vocals • The night before we were due to record vocals I asked alex if he’d yet written lyrics. He said no and he’d do it in the morning. At this point it was about 2am and we were going in to record early next morning... But he seemed confident, so 🤷♂ • Alex arrives early next morning still writing lyrics on his phone having started writing them about 20 mins ago in the shower. He steps up to the mic, sings them, they’re awesome because that's how talented he is. He records a few takes and we’re done. Lyrics written and vocals banged out and we have our dark circus vibes 🎪
@@davidodonnellfilmAs if I didn’t need to love this more. This story is amazing 😂 I need this in my song in my life on a regular basis, let me know how please 🙏
I thought it was showing that our shortcomings and crutches were our blinding picture wheel. Then, at the end, they both started a "love" picture wheel.... unless that's how it starts?
Agreed., though I feel it did miss some sort of representation to point out how the System forces us so it can bank on our misery after broken relationships.. Or it was to subtle.
@@Loneranger670Red and Green striped shirt..? Dude is funny as Hell…. I recommend you listen from outside their reach though. Edward Scissor hand’s like reach.
What the F did I just watch? I don't know, but it was brilliant! The scene in the elevator was laugh out loud. But, I do have one question. He removed his head band only to put another one on of the girl in the red dress. She did the same. I thought he broke free from the wheel of photos/the past.
Thanks for checking it out! The idea is that baggage will no doubt accrue -- that's just life. But that is no reason not to dive headlong with the best of intentions anyway 🔃
Great showing of how we let the past blind us from the present and future at times.
🙏
💯❤️🙏
Right. That wheel is also our history.
that's why we can forget.

Thanks for your lovely comment! Very true. Cheers for watching 🙏
Very original, a lot of times the past doesn't allow you to breath, very well explained
🙏
Great script, great acting, great directing, great title design, great cinematography. A pearl between all these "award winners".
Living in the past is so life sucking. Good job in pointing this out here.

Dust.
Pulling these short films into my universe, allowing me to see past my own picture wheel.
Thank you...
I love James Hoare…now James Ivors. Very talented and handsome man. He was fantastic in Picnic At Hanging Rock as Albert.
How very different, I really loved the physical manifestation of memories. Very well done.

What i got out of it:
We imprison ourselves in our minds until our reality becomes so small,
That we cannot see anything else
Absolutely brilliant and insightful how our past can sabotage our future.
What a fantastic episode!
Like usual, balance is the key.
WOWZ...Very immersive. And the street guy turned out to be something else...Total suprise.
Great stuff, everyone can relate to.
Who was the street guy supposed to be? Death?
What a brilliant movie. How rare to be moved like that through storytelling in a short time frame. Thank you
When I think about my past for too long I feel like screaming lol. Maybe I should try something new like they said.

That was a great show. I use to watch this show a lot while in jail back in 2019-2021 AD. I liked it.
Getting Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind vibes
Wow, so good.
Also, the end credit are really great.
Thanks for staying through to watch them! 🙏

Wow. That was beautiful. Thank goodness I have the ability to delete people from my mind when they hurt me enough times.🎉
