Hire your apprentices and lay down some marble! In this week’s Game the Game, host Becca Scott is joined by Alcuin Gersh, Bonnie Gordon, and Hector Navarro for Architects of the West Kingdom by Renegade Game Studios. Rules mistake (multiple times the same mistake), at 50:25 the technicality is actually that you need to select the groups you pick up from the same location. Only in 1-3 player games you can select from two different locations. But since this is 4 player game, each worker at Town Center can pick up a one color from the same large location.

Ive only seen Bonnie in Calista 6 so seeing her here it shows what an amazing voice actor and general actress she is...like woah
You should check out the Library Bards UA-cam channel for some great music.
I know of her from the reality TV show "The Quest" so seeing her here I was like, "Wait... whaaaaattt???" XD
Bonnie (and Hector) were also in the Star Trek RPG here on G&S, "Shield of Tomorrow" show. Highly recommended for sci-fi, character-development-theatre, even mystery fans.
This is the second video i am watching at geek&sundry. Becca and Hector are the funniest duo i have ever watched playing boardgames!

P.S. I am German and Becca sounded like an American who tried to speak German or Danish accent. At least at the beginning. :'D

Hector’s and Bonnie’s tokens on the virtue board were reversed. When Hector got the last virtue, he moved hers up instead of his own. That would give Hector 1 more point and Bonnie 1 less point. Don’t know how much this affected final score though
Hector's funny accent is from the South of Spain only (South of Andalusia). Castille, Al-Andalus or Granada kingdom at that time. Also, that accent did not appear until the XVI century.
Hectors Fredrich accent is making the ladies swoon lisp and all. Good times! Remind me of Zorro!
Rules error at 13:14... The silver still goes from the first in the row which allows you to choose from the next column. See the example in the rules.
But she had 2 workers at that action space.

Am i wrong, but the guy did not take the reward card after building the cathedral.

I printed mods that will help move through the apprentices. Makes it more effective in building engines

I'm going to point this out since no one else has noticed it (UNLESS he corrects himself later, as I'm still watching it) but in 28:06 Alcuin forgot to put a worker into the guild hall to build his Tavern...

nope, She had two meeples in the workshop so she had access to the first two columns of cards. Spending one gold gave her access to the third card in that row
she did still put the coin on the wrong card, it should've gone on the left most one

13:20 each apprentice to the left gets a coin not just one.
I thought that at first as well, but since she had TWO workers placed in the Workshop, and she wanted an apprentice in the 3rd column over (starting from the leftmost), she only needed to put down one silver on an apprentice, because she satisfied the requirements for choosing from the first two columns, but not the third.
She still did it wrong, though, as the rules state: "There is a way to hire Apprentices with fewer Workers than required. Players may place 1 Silver on an Apprentice Card to skip it. Any Silver placed MUST ALWAYS BE PLACED ON THE LEFT-MOST CARD OF A ROW, followed by the next card in the row if skipping more than 1 card."
She should have put just one Silver on the Stonecutter, since that was the leftmost card in the row.
When it says includes paid promotion what does that mean exactly?
That the company who produces the game provided the copy and funds to pay the people/ channel for playing the game
That Geek & Sundry received money for playing the game. This is basically an add for the game and any and all recommendations or statements how good the game is can be taken with a grain of salt.
As other said, the video is basically an advertisement. This game is legit awesome, however.

@@gbdomingo Only just got around to watching this, so apologies for the late response. UA-cam's "Paid Promotion" notification thing covers everything from a product/brand being integrated with the content right up to being paid to feature or endorse something, which means a channel wasn't necessarily paid to feature something but could just have received the product for free. It's like a catch-all term for any commercial relationship represented in the video.

I think it takes place in the Holy Roman Empire (or an imaginary equivalent), which stretched over half of France and Italy, and included all of Germany.
