Poppy, thank you for video! I'm from Russia, Saint Petersburg. I visited in Moscow for 2 times, but have never heard of this place! That's wonderful. I will definately visit it, if I come to Moscow again. From Russia with love, Anna.
Honestly this place is superb, for children it is heaven and thanks to you for your hard work of walking around the whole place inside and out and capturing all these good things for us.
Thank you for the interesting video! I live in this city and love it with all my heart .. And I even envy everyone who comes here for the first time) Moscow is so great and multifaceted - everything in it can be found and rediscovered again and again! My husband and I recently really wanted to change the situation, but we didn't want to go far, so we chose the Royal Zenith Hotel and paid off. The hotel is located in the protected area of Serebryany Bor, surrounded by pine trees and a beautiful view of the river. I was very pleased with the Spa complex on the territory of the hotel - after a working week, what you need. Friendly staff, delicious cuisine - we recommend!
That is the awesome place for markets, not many international tourists though due to the virus swirling over the world. Hope you could get more favorite stuff at real discount. 9:03 tourist information shown in Chinese characters which says please do up to the 3rd stair for more restaurants.
Hello from Russia. If you come to Izmailovsky market again, I will give you the following explanations: 1) the tables that you thought they were eating are actually tables for trading, many old people come there on Saturday and Sunday and sell various antique and other Soviet things. 2) also, these rows with tables have 2 Levels (2 floors) and even further there are small shops where you can buy real Antiques, very high quality, some things are worthy of Sotheby's auction, and other people local and visitors from neighboring Moscow regions place their goods on the Ground, for example along the fortress wall, from above, where you can get around this Kremlin on the upper tier, it's like a spontaneous flea market. 3) Izmailovo antique flea market is the largest in Europe. 4) If you are interested in Antiques and various old things, then you should visit this market on weekends and in good weather, and be sure to change money in small Russian bills so that you can successfully bargain. 5) all the places where you went in the first part of the video and the products are created specifically for tourists, in your opinion it is super high-quality things, Yes of course it is, but still it is consumer goods, and the prices there are for tourists, i.e. inflated. 6) on the Izmailovo market on weekends there are quite a lot of tourists from China, Vietnam-up to 20%, a little from Japan, India, Asia in General, a little Europeans - up to 5% - mostly Italians, Germans, Norwegians, Finns, poles, Ukrainians, Czechs. There are almost no tourists from the United States, as your media intimidate you with the horrors of staying in Russia. 7) walking around this market and in Moscow is almost safe, the main thing is not to show anyone that you have large amounts of cash, try not to let people stand close to your wallet, even if they are standing with their backs to you. I haven't seen a wallet stolen in the last 10 years, but a smartphone can be stolen. Manifestations of some kind of violence between strangers and sober people in Moscow and in major cities of Russia almost do not happen, there are no gang attacks. In the city center, you can safely walk even at night.
Sorry, I don't know your name. Advice for the future. find yourself a Russian friends, with them next to you will not try to cheat merchants. They, seeing that a foreigner is in front of them, can increase the price by 5-8 times. From Russia with Love❤.

There are a lot of tourists . You have visited an interesting place, but very budget-friendly . Near the hotel complex , we jokingly call it "minus three stars". The main tourist flow is where the atmosphere is not recreated, where it is authentic . Most of the tourists in red square . The Kremlin is full of authentic history . There are also many palaces in Moscow, not only in the center, there is for example the summer estate of Kuskovo, where the counts of Sheremetyevo lived . For them, it was something like a summer picnic, which has everything from a Palace to boat trips on the lake ...even the servants ' homes are impressive . You need a guide, Moscow is huge and the population is over 12 million, tourists just disappear in such a megalopolis .
What are the "tourist crowds"? We have Mordor and the "darkest" rules. We ride bears. We have a lot of snow, and we also have hunger and we eat hedgehogs. How do you taste fried hedgehogs? )))Isn't that what he says CNN ?
The Central Museum of the Armed Forces is about a 2-hr walk west from there. I remember being at the Izmaylovo market in 2009, but the weather was pretty lousy. =)
Nice footage. Btw... Russia has it's own folk and children's fairytale characters. Baba yaga , Ivan the fool etc. It's a way to get into the Russian psyche.
Moscow is definitely pretty touristy, it rivals Madrid, Athens and Lisbon with equal number of tourists each year, not too many not too little just the right amount imo
surfinbird71 have you seen the Chernobyl series? The government haven't changed a bit communist or not they gonna lie until it's OC. Russian people are nice but the governance is not trustworthy in any way.
As a Moscovite: I don't like this place, no cultural background (just new built palace for turists) and a lot of southern migrants trying to fool tourists that pay times more than things actually cost. It's way more interesting in the city center, even just walking down the streets.

Also, as it is a "fake history" it is not overcrowded, as far Moscow has TOO MUCH of history for group tourists, so only sole travelers gets there when they have week or two JUST for Moscow
