This shoe would in the competition for the best stability shoe of the year. Along with Tempus and Gel Kayano
Love the fact that I can search practically any shoe and y’all have a video for it. Much appreciated as always 🙏🏼
This shoe has been on my radar for a little while and was definitely looking forward to Meaghan's opinion on this shoe's cush for easy/recovery days. Still undecided! Lol
That's a great review. Didn't know about the core/rim.
Just received my Foreveruns, taken out for 1 walk. Well cushioned under the heel. I bought the orange colour, wasn't prepared for how bright it was. Right heel slips a bit, hard to lock down. Left rubs under the ankle, no damage though. Received 40% discount from Clark's in Canada.
I think this shoe is great. The fit is really nice, very contoured. Grip is 10/10, cushion is decent but not crazy. I prefer this as a recovery day shoe since the stability help my lower leg muscles relax a bit. Next iteration I'd like to see a heel bevel that is a bit more lateral and a little bit more rockered sole.
Loving mine. They have everything I need for my daily runs. I am a neutral runner, but the guidance system in these is so subtle, it doesn’t bother me at all.
Can I use it for just casual ?
I love me some chipper Thomas! Must have had a great morning run!
The best!
Can you do a comparison video for this vs tempus
Any plans to review the new Liberate Nitro?
When I first pulled the Forever Run out of the box I said "Oh it's Puma's version of the Nike Invincible". That was not the case at all! I found the Forever run to be a much more enjoyable shoe for me. Better fit, more comfortable, and more responsive but still giving me great cushion. I've developed some metatarsal/sesmoid issues and the Forever Run is the best shoe for me at the moment.
I'll second this comment for the new Liberate Nitro, the first one has been awesome
I don't think they mentioned the 'metatarsal pad' smack in the middle of the insert, which is one of the shoe's weirder features. this shoe is so clunky and firm compared to velocity 2 ... I'm hoping that it breaks in somewhat ... right now I'd trade it in for another velocity.. or two.
I also find that you have to really crank the laces to prevent slipping around at the heel, to the point of cutting off circulation. pretty long too so sizing down might be worth considering.
Like for Thomas and Meaghan. Thanks for this information about the Puma 2023. Have a great day. 🌞🏃🌤️
I think the "raindrop" pattern is more of a cheetah's or even a puma's paw prints.
Bought it a couple of days ago, first run on it will be tomorrow morning...
and!?
Too much cut-away in the medial arch area for my feet to feel stable, at all. Maybe it depends on the individuals feet, but my feet are just diving inward over that puzzling chasm. I can see how the wide FOREfoot platform helps stability, but the medial midfoot is strangely opposite-world. I get much more stability from the truly wide platform of something like my NB More V3, even though it's not really categorized for "stability." My feet are not narrow. I can feel that this FRN is very cushy, I just don't get how anybody thinks "stable".
Was Thomas trying to dial a number for Puma at 3:05😂
He was hoping "Alfred" would answer the Puma-phone and define "guidance socklayer".
Nice review. One thing I'm interested to know is how flexible is the forefoot of the shoe.
Medium
medium to stiff
It has a little hump on the insole that I forget the name for.
UA-cam foot doctors recommend that for stability.
metatarsal pad
I believe that insole would be the "guidance sock-layer" which they mischievously can't find at 2:27 . Couldn't possibly be an over-hyped tiny bump, in any case.
Preference between this or the Tempus? My Tempus has been beaten up pretty good and looking to either grab a new one or try this out.
Also check Out the New Balance 860v13
It’s fun to switch up shoes, so I would at least give the ForeverRun a shot and see what you think.
Tempus all day. It's 4 Oz lighter per pair with better foam. The 860 is much more traditional stability with the medial posting. The Tempus is the clear winner unless you need aggressive correction of the medial posting in the 860.
How does it compare to the Tempus?
The Tempus edges out the ForeverRun for us, but not by a ton.
What does ole Wide Foot have to say since Puma didnt release this in wide sizes???
I have this. I'd say it's more on the narrow side in the forefoot. Midfoot and heel normal width.
Size up in the tempus
Everything you said about this shoe was done in a “meh” tone. I have not run in any Puma. Did you like this more than Velocity 2?
Meh
But, the velocity 2 is a more paired down neutral trainer while this is a stability/guidance trainer. The shoes serve different masters.
@@Believeintherun Good Answer !
velocity 2 is superior in every way. i'd prefer velocity with an after market insole if i was very concerned with stability.
Im usually either a sz 10.5 or 11 in mens shoes. Which should i pick. Didnt know if they run short or long.?
I always buy two and keep the one that’s fits better. On the same boat as you. I usually go with feel. Saucony’s I wear 11.5. Got about 10 miles on mine, so far so good. Took about 2 runs to break in. Ps I always buy black so my wife doesn’t notice any new shoes 😊
Hoka Arahi is the best stability shoe! I’ve tried them all and nothing hits like Hoka. It has corrected my pronation and now I am a neutral runner.
Really? I absolutely hate mine. 😂
I❤it
Those holes in the midsole will soon end up filled with mud and dirt
It’s a road shoe, not a trail shoe
@believeintherun it’s a tunnel dirt/concrete shoe where I am in INDONESIA. the color sticks out when I’m hiding from my wife and government. But the outsole help me hide on trails and inside tunnels.
What streets you running on? LMAO
It gave me severe left hip pain. Sent it back.
If only you could that with spouses.
chickenskin? ...i'm callin' it now the pooma scrotesac upper? ...
i just bought this shoe for my running, recomanded🫶🏻 so stable and best for running❤
