What really hits me is that this all happened. Some parts were not true but Mary really did live a tragic live

The great love story of Mary and Francis. Even in death, they loved each other. Their kind of love shows that no matter what obstacles you go through, you can always work it out if you truly love someone.

Though the writers didn't give us enough joyful times with Francis and Mary on earth, I will always remember that ending in heaven! It makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. Loving together with none of the burdens or responsibilities of royalty-just a boy and a girl as they had wished for when they were teens! 💗
S3 and 4 doesnt exist to me. Mary and Francis went on their trip to Paris and lived happily ever after.

@@karlaburgos1920 Mary and Francis are real people, but some of the stories in Reign are fictional. It’s loosely based on history in that they were teenage monarchs who had a special love. It was not hot and heavy passionate like Reign’s characters, but there was genuine love and affection from the poems Mary wrote after his young death, and gifts they gave each other. Francis was probably sterile in real life and did not father a child out of wedlock and Mary did not have an affair with Conde, who was a 50 year old man who did try to take over real Francis’ reign. King Henri did father a son from an affair with the aunt of one of Mary’s lady in waiting, Mary Fleming, the one Lola Fleming is based on.
I would do anything to watch this show all over again, without knowing what will happen
I finished watching 3x05 yesterday, crying my heart out. I can't bring myself to continue Reign now that Francis died. Their love was so beautiful and painful. I will never forget them.

Mary and Francis are the couple that make me believe in love and redemption, they weren't perfect, at all, but they are the most perfect imperfect couple to exist.

@@evafaller6679 I think there was flirting at the very start, but the actors never dated. IMO, Toby and Addy are very different people and not sure they would be compatible for a real life relationship. I am just thankful for their chemistry and giving us Francis and Mary!

My heart broke when Francis died. He loved her so much.
I was about to watch it and now I read this
I loved them together. But Francis' love for Mary was just on another level. His love for her was pure, passionate, loyal, tender, unconditional, patient. I wish to one day find a man to love me the way Francis loved Mary. I had to stop watching once he died for a bit. Have been watching half-assed since, but I was happy to see the final scene. Their love was eternal. It transcended life and even death. My heart hurts!

I love the scene of their last dance together (at least I think it was their last dance). I love the fact that Mary talked him through it, giving him the strength till the end. What topped it off was hearing the melody of Stay With Me in the background, because that's all they ever asked of each other. I have many favorite moments and scenes throughout the series but that has to be my top favorite. The chemistry between them two is amazing. Francis was her one true love, and Mary his. (In Reignverse) How can anyone not agree with that?

Believe me watching them separated.. Gives me real pain.. The tears cannot bear half the grief and pain.. I felt.. A man so much in love with a Girl, he gave up everything For her... even herself to arms of other man in front of his eyes to get her healed for the tragedy she faced .. Yet at the last when time came.. He avenged himself by protecting her costing him his life.. Yes he was King of France but more.. He was a KING To her QUEEN.. Long king King Francis ❤️
The journey of Francis and Mary's relationship and marrriage is so beautiful. Afterall its about belonging, trust, companionship and love.

I know Francis dying was canon....but there was still that little part of me that hoped the producers wouldn't stick to it... probably because of Toby and Adelaide's intense chemistry...
I felt the same way lol. I just kept thinking "Can't we fiddle with history just a lilttle?" lol
I guess they wanted to show her brief happiest in her life before it went to hell. I wish they tweaked it but that would mean coming up with more storylines and it could get messy

THEY DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER IM SOBBING
Mary was a delight at French court. She and Francis married on April 24, 1558. When Henri II died of his joust injuries in July of the same year, Francis (15 yo) and Mary (16 yo) became King and Queen of France, and Francis was named King of Scotland. Their marriage, sadly, lasted only 2 years and 8 months, as Francis passed away from a brain abscess caused by an ear infection in December of 1560. Mary was said to have been “stricken by grief.” So, it’s likely they truly did love each other and that was probably the best two and a half years of her life. It’s said that she fell in love with her second husband, Lord Darnley, and had her only son by him, but never saw the child again after 10 months of age and her marriage to Darnley pretty much fell apart because he was an ambitious ass. I would love to believe that when Mary was beheaded, she woke up just as she did in Reign, next to Francis, the true love of her life.❤
Their love story should've been so simple, and sweet, but it got so complicated, and ended so tragically
I almost forgot how stunning Adelaide looked in this show. Her dresses, her hair, her makeup. Like frickity frack she’s so pretty ❤️

This show is also history, many of these events actually took place and these people really existed. I love the way this tv show represented their love, I hope that it is true. Besides all the bad events that had to be represented, I hope Queen Mary of Scots and King Francis were truly happy during their time together.
my favorite thing about their love story is that it was written so well and the actors did such a good job of portraying the characters love for each other that even after they fell in love and got married i still wanted to see where their relationship would go it didn't lose chemistry throughout the whole entire show.

I was so mad when she lost the baby, but at least they kept true to history.
I sadly can't remember her name but the actress who played Mary will forever be an amazing woman of her craft, the emotion she displays throughout the show will always be my favorite quality of hers. Her screams when she rips down the French and English flags in the throne room are so raw and real, they give me goosebumps every time!

From beginning to end it was Francis . She had one epic amazing love , not the best but still epic and it was with Francis ❤️😭. No one else deserved her but Francis .

Just watched this on Netflix. What a love story this was. I didn't have the heart to continue till the end after Francis died. Maybe one day I will. But as much as Mary was the body and soul of this show, it always felt like Francis was its heart, and once he was gone, the heart seemed to go out of it. This is a great video. Thanks so much for leaving out the bad parts.
Agree that Francis was the heart of the show. After he died, the grief was palpable!! Something I had never experienced for a fictional character!! I needed to make this video, leave out the bad parts, in order to process closure after his death. It was so abrupt and cruel what the writers did to them. Made no sense based on the epic love story set-up in the first season. Francis & Mary deserved better, so I needed this video to cleanse as much as I could to restore them!

I just finished watching Reign and the show ain't the same after Francis died. After S3 E5, I just skipped everything until I reach the end because the ending was my only hope😭 I watched edits to ease my pain but it still made me tear up, I'm crying so hard rn😭 Francis and Mary deserve everything, so much better😭

Go back and watch the rest. Watching her move on through an awful 2nd marriage, Bash went with her and did help her, scenes with her brother were good but no, it was never the love of Mary and Francis. But you see her fight, win and fail. What a tragic life. But her son did rule a united England.

I still cry every time. Their love was so true despite everything
you know that dance was practically killing him where he stood, but he did it because he loves her and it shows when he looked at her, at her side, etc. i can’t ever get over how it ended... when she says “fight for us, francis, please.” you can see the desperation in both their faces, but he’s already fading away and they can’t stop it from happening. she knows he’s doing to die, but she doesn’t want to face the undeniable truth, and he won’t let himself either, not until the end... he fights with everything in him until the very end when life just leaves him in a single breath. “we were meant to be happy, and we were... but i have another fate. such beauty you have brought me, you must love again.”-he said this because he wanted someone else to experience her love. “i pray to God that you do.”-and this was for her. the heartbreak is shattering and i’ll never stop loving their story & then her’s after him. she never got over him, as she knew she wouldn’t, and it shows until the very last moment when she dies and meets him in death. he made a sword for her so she wouldn’t feel weak when he left her... it’s truly a masterpiece. i applaud the writer/screenplay writer and director for showing us something we’ll never forget. & thank you to the person who made this compilation, it’s lovely in every sense of the word. if anyone asks me for a physical and emotional rollercoaster, i’ll be sure to show them this so they understand that historical drama’s aren’t as shallow as they’re believed to be.
jamee potts thank you for watching the video and leaving your lovely comments! It was a labor of love for me to tell Francis and Mary’s story to emphasize the depth and beauty of their love. It was very therapeutic to work through all the conflicting emotions, inflicted on the viewers due to the path the Reign writers took in Season 2, but I really wanted show how special this bittersweet short love that started since they were children continued to guide the other, even when one of them was gone from this life.
I started to watch this show because of them, after he died I felt like there was no point for the show. They are the meaning of Love. They are beyond what I’ve always wanted.
