  • Talking points: mindset, goals, direction
If there's anything you should be prepared to talk about with a partner, this is it. I think men underestimate how potent it is, how attractive it is, and how beneficial it is for themselves and for everyone else...
    What's your vision?
(00:00:00) - Intro and the Question
(00:01:22) - Your vision helps women understand you better-and it’s attractive
(00:02:43) - Purpose comes FROM vision
(00:04:55) - There’s aliveness when working on your vision, but it’s easy to get stuck on what’s not going well
(00:08:38) - Women like men who have momentum
(00:09:48) - Why depth is my direction

A man of confidence, having vision and living virtuously is by definition attractive.

Pursue emotional maturity. Most of us are emotionally stuck. Getting into community with other men helps us develop.

I know your intended audience is men and my primary motivation for listening to this message was to try to gain some insight and understanding into my husband’s thinking but I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out because your message hit me right in the heart as something *I* needed to hear.
I used to be good at setting goals and planning step by step how to achieve them. But ever since my oldest son died four years ago, I have been overwhelmed by grief. Just putting on a brave face and getting through one day at a time has been a struggle. I’ve lost my sense of direction, and the sense of meaning and purpose in my life. I don’t know where to start to rebuild a sense of direction again but I know that is what I need to do. None of us knows how much time we have or how much time we have with each of the people that we love. Living the rest of my life like this would be such a waste. I’m the only one that can pull myself out of this brokenness and sorrow. I don’t know how I’m going to do it but I have to find a way. Thank you. 🙏

A dreadful loss, the worst imo. I'm sorry anyone has to experience this. I believe that couples frequently break up after such a tragedy. The reflection of pain is too much perhaps. I have no advice, there is nothing I can say except to wish you well. I hope you can find a way to carry on that has some meaning for you, even a measure of happiness

Thank you for sharing this, I was deeply moved by your story and felt compelled to reply.
In order to move forward first you have to be with the grief, i know thats easier said than done but putting on a brave face and trying to soldier on will only delay the process, ofcourse you have to function and get by but all of your additional time should be spent create the space you need to allow the emotions and sensations to pass, what you will probably find is this may bring up other things you have to let go of.
I wish you well and I hope you find what you need to move forward soon 🙏🤍

As a mother with an oldest son who was at one time close to dying, my heart goes out to you!
Seek the Lord Jesus. He speaks life to our souls through his word; who defeated the devil and death; justifies us, gives eternal life by faith, teaches us.

I don’t agree with everything on this channel but the advice in this video is pretty solid. It’s simple the more of yourself you have sorted out the better prepared you are to handle relationships. This is true for any type of relationship from traditional, casual, hetro, same sex, monogamous, poly, or just you by yourself in your own space. The more you understand yourself and the more formed around a specific direction (not necessarily a goal but direction) the better you will be. And if along the way the path doesn’t feel right you can adjust your trajectory.

This only work if she is still attracted to you in the moment, because one thing I know for sure is, they'll say they love today and next week if she not attractive to you she'll totally dump you because shes not attractive or in love with you. Is a never-ending maintaining game with women that can instantly go side way real quick

0:45 ok what if that direction sounds really silly?
Like I know the aspects I could focus on that would be less... silly. But I have plans and most people wouldnt quite understand.
I want to be a game developer. Again I feel like that means I should meet a gamer girl and that'd make it all work out, but im also a christian and so she needs to be christian and that's a niche in a niche, hard to find that person.
But if I did, I could totally see "I want to be a game developer and use my games to spread the gospel" as being a totally great direction, but anyone else would find it silly.

Try to have faith that there is someone out there who will not see that as silly. Being a game developer is not a silly goal at all my friend. Remember, you're not going to be married to "most people"

I always have pursue my goals and never never have being attractive by that to any woman, that is just totally fake. In fact the woman complains that I not pay to much attention to them by being focused in the accomplishment of my goals.
