Great video! And I feel like another great way to “socialize” a dog is to just let them exist around other people/dogs without having to approach them. Teaching a good place command and having them just observe and soak in the environment around them can be really beneficial in the early stages of their life!

Totally feel for the owner! There is so much shaming out there about using certain equipment. I wasted so much time on techniques that made my dog so much worse. Thank you Tom and UCA for putting out these videos. It's changing so many handler-dog relationships!!

This owner has very similar feelings to how I did when I first considered using an ecollar. The negative propaganda out there regarding ecollars, even when you know you are going to use the tool safely and responsibly, can be really hard to deal with. It's so reassuring to see a properly applied tool help behaviour change so quickly.

I really admire Tom Davis's integrity. He's willing to admit when he needs to change his plan with a dog. Fortunately, he has a huge "toolbox" of training techniques👍.

Love your videos man! Even though I don’t have any behavioral problems with my dog I still use your techniques to build a better relationship with him. We get compliments where ever we go and I always tell people to check out your videos

The dog training world is very damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't. No matter the method, someone will always have something nasty to say. Nova learned a ton of basic obedience and tricks very low force and high positive reinforcement. Now, she struggles with some reactivity and owner protection that we're working on with a more balanced method. I used a balanced method with Mochi from the start, and her dog aggression and reactivity are nearly non-existent. Thank you, Tom, for helping me change my mindset so I can do what's best by my girls

It’s so cool to see how quickly the boxer adapted to the E collar and how the owner got her timing down. Its also amazing how quickly Tom reads and adapts the training technique to each individual dog. So inspiring to watch the owners gain confidence in their ability to handle their dog. Thank you Tom, for so much usable content! You are a God-send for so many of us!

You make dog training seem a little less daunting and actually a task to look forward too! My dog is your stereotypical lab with a prey drive out of this world. Having a strong leave it has been a task to work on since she was a pup . I have been wanting to train with an e collar for a better off leash experience, just haven’t officially invested in one yet. Thank you for your good and clear explanations, they’ve really helped!

I like how Tom shows and explains why we need different tools and how all tools don't work for all dogs. This boxer did not respond to positive only, got frustrated with the prong and needed more pressure than the slip collar. The e-collar was the best choice in this case.

I train my dogs regularly. One is perfect on the leas. At one time he did alligator rolls when I put on a leash. My second boy occasionally, unexpectedly will lunge at something while on the leash. Catches me off guard, but I’ve learned to better time my correction thanks to you. Recently he has begun playing with dogs off leash and having a ball. Your videos are AMAZING!

I'm on my 4th Boxer & love the breed. Finally, a video addressing some of their specific nuances. I can relate to the owner & Sonny from start to finish. More Boxers please. 🐾

YES! “she seems much happier” Great work!! My trainer went to the e-collar to help with my dog’s explosive reactivity. It worked!! It’s like she learned she doesn’t’ have to get all upset like that! She can choose to ignore whatever it is that used to set her off, and just be a happy dog, doing happy dog things!♥️

I loved how Sunny got so happy when she got praised! She almost danced with how happy she was that she got it right.

I’m really loving your videos. I rescued/ found a stray dog. No collar no chip no one claimed him. He’s fearful of people and very reactive. He loves and adores me. He’s fairly obedient. I can’t get him to trust, not bark/ lunge at other people. He does not like my family.
