The exhaust pops and burbles are some of the best I've heard! They actually sound spontanious.
Go play The Crew Motorfest or listen to some videos, albeit beeing an arcade racer it the best car sounds in my opinion

It's really impressive to see the photorealism in Gran Turismo series graphics, instead of going for the "puchy" graphics like all other developers.

Driveclub looks stunning, but also it feels too graphics oriented, with often exagerated effects. It was often difficult to focus on actual game, rather than all the effects. In reality it wouldn't be a problem, because you have much more other feedback available, but through screen, vision is all you have. Gran Turismo series games looks beautiful in a more simple way, yet is filled with fine details, and very well gameplay focused at the same time.
I wouldn't understand this balance, if I hadn't tried experiencing both games.
@xypleth this is funny, because GT7 is only really good at visuals, whereas driveclub had actual structured, challenging gameplay.
@@boredguy2935 Driveclub was challenging, engaging and fast paced, but it was too much arcade and drift-able for my tastes. GT feels like reality, tire conserving, and grip management, and being "kind" to the car. Driveclub is more of a steal in and rip it type of gameplay.
I've only played GT5 on PS3 and Driveclub on PS4, so I can't comment on GT7, it looks like it's the same deal as GT5.
Could only imagine if they made an open world game. They should just make a long road course where you can just drive, like a mountain road or canyon.

They used to havereally tight tarmac rally stages in gt4. I wish they'd bring them back. Slow cars aren't fun unless they're driven on a tight course
They have both fly by's on Tokyo with traffic on the highways. Imagine putting traffic on Grand Valley to make it more interesting and make it a challenge to stick within the bounds of real world driving.

I cruise several tracks in VR, like this one. Time trial, HUD off, PSVR2, music off and a drink in hand. Can really trick your brain into believing your driving a real car.
That's why I'm still playing Assetto Corsa, because of the 911 GT3 RS,i think it's the only game that has the most realistic PDK gearbox, I don't know how that did it back then but it's still the best
Computer graphics are becoming extortionary and very realistic. The details in the background, the sky, light that bounces of the car, is amazing.
Now imagine what kind of game it could be if it came out on PC.
Two things that need to be Fixed in GT7 :
- More Options to make the Camera sensitivity to Zero
- Animation of Stepping the clutch pedal for cars with manual transmission
And using garage cars while split screen multiplayer

GT7 open world will invite a lot of XBOX users of the PS. For the longest time I stuck to XBOX because I just found Forza so much more fun. But I’m a sucker for ps and bought a ps5 now and not GT7 and I love it. But…. I do miss the open world of forza

They still can't get the audio right - sounds like the whole circuit is in a tunnel
Most racing games are notorious for exaggerating reverb effect. Assetto Corsa does this too in irritating levels and people claim the cars sound good. They'd rather exaggerate it to release dopamine in players brain. Make them feel hyper even if it's not realistic

Great video! but I have to say the HDR makes the game looks terrible on standard screens, I highly recommend turning it off before recording.
initially was watching this on my old windows 10 desktop and the colors looked like they came from the most washed out images. Stupid computer doesn't support hdr

Microsoft/Turn10/Playground Games should really be taking notes. Not just the graphics and sound is only way better but also the content looks WAY better.
Flight simulator alone makes this game look like toy. Can't compare lighting, skybox, details with that game. PGG/Turn10 go for a more art style approach rather than realism.
