I'll admit its hard to beat fuel injection when the bike sits for over a month and still starts like its been running everyday. i have the Lifan KP Master 200 and its been pretty reliable.@@JerryHawk250
Those stacked plate coolers are a little less efficient, but more durable to damage, so it should survive rather well in that location, especially with that screen over the front to protect it from rocks.
Free advice is worth exactly what you pay for it, having said that I will recommend that you buy the best hose clamps you can find. If one were to come loose and a hose also vibrates off it would be a recipe for disaster. Especially if you lose the hose clamp. I have an old BSA with a dry sump connected to an oil tank under the seat and found it impossible to keep that kind of clamp tight. When oil gets into the mechanism whatever friction that keeps the screw from backing out is pretty much lost. If you can find the two wire clamps that have a captive nut, some blue Loctite might do a better job. Ideally, you should have something permanent.
Congratulations! I already had the hoses from another oil cooler kit I had. You should be able to find oil lines on Amazon. The fittings at the engine are 10mm banjo fittings. The oil cooler come with barb hose fittings so you can cut the hose to length and clamp them.

@@bobbylee2985 Glad you figured it out before you took it out on the road. I blew mine out with the air compressor before installing. I should of mention that in the video because I've installed oil cooler on my other bikes and hand found metal shaving in the coolers.

Hey again JerryHawk250! Thank you for showing us how to install the oil cooler on the KPX. Stupid question here, but I'm wondering how the green color of the bike is working out for you. I think it looks great, but the red is also calling my name. Something about the blue that just doesn't catch my eye. Again, dumb question. I think the green looks great on your bike! Good for visibility also!
Not sure if it was mentioned, but with it upside down, aren’t you worried about dry top and starts, since it empties to the crankcase every time you shut down, as opposed to top inlet that stays full? Another concern mounted that way is with it draining down, you’ll always show full oil without knowing how much oil it takes up only while it’s running. I’m thinking about looking for a vertical mount only on the non exhaust side and probably have to make my own bracket that incorporates the motor mount. But I have a mig welder and plasma cutter so no worries there lol.
I would of preferred to install with the outlets on top but couldn't seem to make it fit. The oil pump acts as a check valve. Even after the bike sits for a long period, the cool stays full. On my Hawk i had two coolers mounted with the outlets on the side. The coolers were always full when i did an oil change.
@@JerryHawk250 I’m toying with a few ideas in my head. That exhaust is a real bugger in our case. I do more trails and a little bit of “through the middle of the woods” riding, so I’ve been looking at more robust coolers. No, not really. The oil cooler really just help keep the oil temps down enough so that you oil doesn't over heat and break down the oil. What i have found on all my bikes that I've added the oil cooler is that the you can go 1500-2000 miles between oil changes and the oil is black when you do change it. Before the oil coolers were added the oil would be black at about 500 miles. Now it's only a light brown at 2000 miles.

Those we're my same thoughts. But the stack plate holds a larger volume of oil over the fin cooler that is the same size. 65ml vs 80ml.
Jerry, can you do a video on the shock adjustment. Would like to lower the seat height.
I could. It's a pretty simple process. It's in the owners manual on page 6. how to adjust the rear shock.
