- There will be things regarding your health as you age you can't evade. So it has come to me to be part of my life yet to be. So I thought to take you along in my journey through one of those that we men will face.
Mr.Tom....I've been there,done that with this prostate, operation on it, very large restriction of my urethra ,yes I get up at night to use the bathroom, I've had cancer in my neck,radiation therapy, chemotherapy,had to use a feeding tube for awhile, medicine for blood clot in leg....BUT THE LORD GOD has healed me! Feeding tube is gone,blood clot gone.. gone, I take no medications... THE LORD GOD HEALS, ALL PRAISE, HONOR, GLORY belongs too HIM!
YOU will be just fine, keep your good attitude, I'm by myself also,me and Black lab. I'm 77 years old.
Dear Lord Jesus, please be with Mr. Tom in the times ahead. He is such a blessing to so many...I wonder if he knows how many people he helps every day. We all need him so much...help him in any and all ways as he begins the journey toward the tests and decisions ahead.

Stay strong Mr. TOM, my husband at 76 also diagnosed with 9.7. He 1st chose the drugs which didn’t sit too well for him. Then chose radiation. Praise God he got though it all and now 2 years later he’s at 0.00. So you keep thinking positive and we’ll All keep praying for you. 🙏❤️ May God fill you with his wisdom, discernment and comfort 🙏
As much I hate to hear this news thank you for sharing your journey thus far. Mr.Tom you will certainly be in my prayers through this. Mr. Tom do what you need to do to take care yourself.
Mr Tom, let me just say one thing. My Dad had an elevated PSA and had hormonal treatment (no surgery) for prostate cancer. He was about 74 or 75 when he was diagnosed. He lived to be 99 years old (2 months short of his 100th birthday.) He even quit the hormonal treatment when he was about 80 (side effects in his view, were not worth the possible risks). I'm not trying to tell you what to do, of course -- just giving some anecdotal testimony that not all surprises are bad ones! 🙂 I'm praying for you, your family, and the kitty krew!

My husband PSI was 20,and yes cancer.He has a weak heart with 10 percent working.So no surgery chemo or radiation for him.Hes been taking hormone therapy for 2 5 years now and doing good.
You will be in my thoughts Mr. Tom. Cancer runs in my family (Lynch syndrome) and what I've learned from them and the cancers they had: Enjoy walking!! Eat what you love to taste. Have a backup plan for someone to take care of the fur kids if you are absent or unable to. Keep a pair of pants a size too small. Never ever give up on God. God guides the Dr.
My dad had a high PSA for years and his doctor monitored him closely. When he was 73 he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He went through 9 weeks of radiation 5 times a week,he did say it made him tired.
He is now 85 and cancer free!

In there have faith, and keep up your hope, ,im 86 years old and from age 80 I've two surgery for cancer ,last surgery just a few months back breast cancer,,not once have I given up.,I have great faith in my heavenly father and his son Jesus christ ,and my Doctor ,and I'm sure there will lots and lots of prayers for you on this journey you going to have to take ,God bless and be with you all The way, We all love you you just take care of you❤ later........
Mr. Tom, you and I seem to be on a parallel path. The end of April I was working in my yard trimming wax myrtles. I missed the last step on the ladder, fell, and broke my left leg and wrist. I had surgery on both, metal rods and screws in both, and was hospitalized for over a week. After 4 painful months of physical and occupational therapy, I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. As soon as I finished therapy, I had a gallbladder attack and was hospitalized again. I had to have surgery to have it removed. I'm a pretty tough 69 year old woman, but it has been a rough 5 months. You are so right - one day at a time with God leading the way. I wish you well on your journey sir.

My Dad had prostate cancer for many, many years. He had the type that was a mass on the outside of the prostate gland, as opposed to being in the body of the gland itself. They had originally wanted to use the radioactive seed method t treat it, but could not because oof the location. He had radiation instead. Treated successfully, he lived to be almost. 90. I will say some prayers for you!
My husband had a blood test for lung cancer, he has a node. It came back 51% positive. His surgery is October 6.

Praying any treatment is successful. I've been kidney cancer free over 10 years. Medical has become better and more successful. I had partial removal surgery and they froze cancer cells.
Nice kids. I never see them but know they're around. You're not so old. Not much older than me. That would make me old. Cats can be empathetic. I have a cat that can sense my mini seizures. Another cat wouldn't leave my oldest cat alone his last weeks.
You’re so right Mr Tom! My hubby fell off ladder 🪜 skidded off 12 foot roof. It’s about a month he’s been laid up and I’ve been feeding chickens, dogs, ducks, sheep and mama 🐖 and 3 lil pigs 🐖 🐖🐖. Coughing I spent 2 days down, hubby was starting to move around more, than he’s started coughing and went down again, about 2 months, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel 🥹Thank you Jesus ❤️🌸🥹
The kitty krew is looking healthy. It looks like they have their winter coats on! This is definitely information that all men need and their wives/girlfriends/and partners. I'm surprised they aren't going to do a transrectal ultrasound unless that is what you mean by MRI? Praying that you hear nothing but good news at your next visit Mr. Tom. It was nice to hear young kids again--all of them in these parts are sitting inside. I guess? I haven't seen kids on bikes in years lol. It can be a relief to research on the internet and get yourself fully educated. I must admit, though, it does cause me anxiety. I smoked for 25 years, quit 20 years ago--cold turkey. We never know what effect doing so may have on us or when it will affect us. Yet, so many things we experience, like you said, are old age. Hugs Mr. Tom. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Aww I am so sorry you have to deal with this. Nurse here. Prostate CA is very treatable. I will pray for you that everything goes very smooth and that your worst worries be over grown ocra and moldy tomatoes in your garden. You will get through this. ❤❤❤
Tom, after my husband had his biopsy the doctor recommended watchful waiting. Testing every three months. His PSA came down into the normal range. Nowadays prostate cancer is quite treatable. It seems that you caught it early enough. God bless you.
Hi, Mr Tom. You're right about pets. I'm glad you're there, too. Enlarged prostate is rough. PSA that high is rough. I can tell you, ABBA YHWH expects us to take the first step. Then HE parts the water. Appreciate your sharing your journey. Cleo does know you need extra love right now. She's been there as you've gone through much with all those Kitty krew members. She remembers you comforting them. Now she knows you need it, too. I know you've got a lot going on so I don't expect any responses. I just want you to know I am listening. And I understand. Between.y & my son's cancers, we understand how much it helps to be able to talk about it. Just know that we are both coming back now. I'm praying for you Mr Tom. My Dad had prostate cancer years ago. He went through radiation treatments, and it never came back. That was almost 20 years ago. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, we love your videos and I just love the kitty crew!! Head up and positive thoughts, God has this.

So sorry you are going through this. I am 68 and was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 years ago. I went through treatments and was peaceful because I truly believe that God will take me when it's my time. I am cancer free today. What sweet boys to stop and speak with you. That made me smile. Mr Tom my mother in law will also be at Jackson early next month to test her kidneys. She has tubal and bladder cancer. They got most if it but want to take her right kidney. She is optimistic and at 83 ready to get it done because she says her backache is already better from what they got so far. I look to and trust Father God on the journey because He is always the first I turn to in all life's challenges. Every thing will be fine maybe not easy at times but this to shall pass.

I did a lot of research about prostate cancer for a friend of mine a few years ago, Mr Tom. And the conclusion I found was, was that most men die with prostate cancer, not because of it. That is, men can live a long time with it, managing the symptoms. (I also read a lot of male celebrities have prostate cancer, and carry on working/living without anyone knowing.) I am so glad you are a man of faith, that is so important. I will pray for you every day, please keep us updated even if it only a short video, you don't have to positive all the time either. (And you are right, God has given us gifts/tools to help ourselves as well. Prayer is important but self care is too.

In medical school, we did pregnancy tests on ourselves and a control pregnant classmate. One of the young men tested positive on the pregnancy test.....he had reproductive cancer. He found iut that day and had no symptoms. That day in class saved his life. Prayers for you mr Tom. I hope the ger you in quickly.

We all thought it was a joke until the look came over the professors face and he dismissed class. We found out later and helped him get through it. There can be negative false negatives, but if a male test positive on a pregnancy test, there is only one reason. It's testicular or prostate cancer. Something I have never forgotten. Both the knowledge and the class mate.

Yet I ordered two several years ago as beta HCG tests for early pregnancy! The site mostly sells supplements aimed at older folks, so that's why they didn't bother including the pregnancy test option.

You will be in my prayers that your tests turn out with a negative result. No matter what the outcome may be, I think you are being very wise to take an active roll in your treatment plan. I hope the best for you Mr Tom….my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer over a year ago and is done with his treatments hopefully it stays away…..5 weeks ago my only neighbor collapsed on her floor and nobody could get in touch with her we got in the house and found her she was very active in the church and travelled like nothing was going on. This past Thursday she passed away in Savannah Memorial diagnosed 2 years ago with stage 4 breast cancer and it spread into her bones…she told nobody not even her son…..she just went on living life…..she was 63…and I will tell you like I told her when we we getting her out of the house and loaded in the ambulance please get better I don’t want any other neighbor.😢
🙏🏻 for you Mr Tom. My cousin went through this 6 or 7 years ago and treatments even then, were very much improved over what they once were. He has had zero problems and continues to test well. That is my prayer for you!
I'm not a senior until I'm 55, that's when I can go to senior meetings at the Town Ship Hall. lol And get free cookies, brownies, etc. Grumble about the whipper snappers! lol just having fun!
Don't blame yourself and make yourself crazy over what you did in the past to get this. Today is day one study and do what you can to help yourself by diet and sleep. The past is the past and today is a new day. Every day is a new day. We get older and our bodies fail sooner or later, and we get things. Sometimes trauma can weaken your body and immunity, like when you fell and almost died, and cause other issues to happen. meditate and rest, check out foods that may help or hinder your issue so you can build up your strength and immunity. In three weeks, I have learned my husband cousin has lung cancer and my friend has breast cancer in both breasts. One day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time and one second at a time. Also laugh watch a funny movie you like laughter is a good thing and enjoy the beauty around you. Keep a gratitude journal and love your cats.

I just had a MRI. Was called back the next day for more scans. Scary time. Fibroids were found in my uterus. At my age of 77 not good news. I understand how you are feeling. You’re still a young man. So much can be done. Trust and pray.
Hi Mr. Tom. I stumbled onto your site while I was recuperating in Scott and White in Temple right after I lost my precious Jerry. I clung to you and your videos. No one knew I was even there but one of the Deacons wives from Jerry's class. I finally thought of Father Timothy Vavarek from West. He actually prayed with me and for me. That started me back on my Catholic journey. I am doing so much better- 5 years now. My Heavenly crew of Jerry and Sugar Bear and Fred and Cliff and Dale Earnhardt Sr and God brings me so much comfort. My sweet Bear knows when Mommy is having a bad day. Mr Tom, I am sorry that you are facing this journey. IME, the worst is waiting for tests and finding out for sure whether or not it is a cancer journey. Meanwhile, my best advice is to keep busy, tackle that project you've been holding off on, this was how I faced what ended up being an early stage, breast cancer diagnosis last August ('22). As a patient, you take things one step at a time, keep a journal, write down questions as they come up. You will also quickly learn who, amongst friends and yes, even family, you can lean on. Mr Tom, sorry to hear about the prostate problems. My husband has an enlarged prostate but so far no cancer. Unfortunately they did find a tumor the size of a lemon in his bladder. It was cancerous but now after 3 yrs of treatments its gone. But can't say cancer free for two more years. He gets checked every 6 mos now but in doing the checks, his prostate causes pain when they check bladder. So, there is hope its just enlarged. Prayers
Mr. Tom~~ God does want us to seek answers, to use knowledge & science. God made the scientific & mathematical laws of our world. But praying for wisdom & for God's spirit to direct our steps, to have strength & courage is something we can do. I think God helps us at times. I agree with what you said & I am so glad you are doing your research & taking logical steps. The Kitties are such comfort & joy. Hi Mr. Tom. Jerry was diagnosed with prostate cancer but he had an excellant urologist and he and Jerry and i all prayed together. We kept the faith and he beat it with radiation and chemo and our dr and God. It never came back. That day we all celebrated and thanked God Jerry was 75 and he was bleeding internally. Good evening, Mr. Tom! I'm sorry to hear you are having a serious medical issue. I hope and pray everything turns out well for you. My husband had his wellness check recently and now has an appointment with an urologist too. He doesn't seem too serious about his situation, but at least he is willing to see the specialist and get some advice/answers. Some guys just don't take good health seriously or listen to good advice. You are doing what is needed and with the medical technology today you will, I believe, have great results. I'm 61 soon. It seems my worry subsides about finances or a health issue of moderate concern and another pops up. The knee or the neck etc. Then I go to the store and always see someone else in a wheelchair etc. So like the bible says don't be dismayed when trials come....paraphrasing. It's everybody at some point. Be of good cheer came to mind. God bless.
I am sorry you are going through this Mr. Tom. My husband (he is 61) has been dealing with a raised PSA also. He has been checked multuple times a year for the last 5 years or so. He has had 3 biopsies in that time. All came back negative. His number right now is 11.4. This number has been pretty steady for the last 2 years. His urologist told him he believes he has an enlarged prostate and that is where his numbers are at this time. He has to stay on top of his blood work. If his numbers creep up to 15 then he needs to been seen again and start the testing again to be sure. I hope and pray this is what is happening with you. I understand how worried you are. I was super worried about my husbands outcome. I still worry but that is who I am.
Not many kids would take the time to stop and say hi anymore either. You were blessed today in so many ways.
My two close neighbor guys have both undergone prostate cancer treatment in their mid to late 70s within the past 2 years. Both had radiation and one has hormone therapy in addition and after a recovery of energy period of time they are both out mowing and doing everything they did before and you would never know it unless they told you. They are driven like you to make the most of every day and keep on keeping on! Prayers for you..

I'm so sorry you are having to go throught this. But, as I've heard you said, this is life. I agree that we all are to trust in God. I also know that God gave us a brain and common sense. Doctors are used of God to help with our healing but it's God who does the healing. I'm 10 years older than you and I'm dealing with a chronic neuromuscular disease so I really understand. Do what the doctors advise and trust in God and we'll all make it. We will be praying for your health to be restored. I look forward to your videos. You are part of our family too.
I had a MRI yesterday. Back in February of 2021 I had a hysterectomy and they found cancer in one of my lymph nodes so I had to go through chemo and radiation and after all that was done the cancer was gone but came back a year and a half later so I had six more treatments this year and so far I am cancer-free. The MRI was to see if the neuropathy in my feet could be caused by anything else other than the chemo.

Mr. Tom. I'm sorry for your troubles. I'm glad you are going through testing to be sure of what is going on. That is so important. My brother-in-law ignored his symptoms, psa # and doctor's advice and is now stage 4 in hospice. We all wish he had taken his diagnosis seriously 6 years ago when he could have been pro active. You are in my prayers and I am so glad for your logical approach to taking care of yourself.
When I had puppies years ago… they loved greenies! I have some to a neighbor and her little dog loved them. Her caretaker eventually told me I shouldn’t give her dog anymore, because my neighbor thought they had pot in them. I greenies… lol that’s the truth! This was probably 20 years ago now though. I don’t know, long time. Lol yeah all animals love those!
My neighbor, who was in his 70s, 80s (not sure) was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. The dr said they were gonna leave it alone … he never had any problems with it. That not what he eventually passed aways with many many many years later. He had one of the first pacemakers they ever made, as I understand it. Anyway, only God knows when it’s our time. Only you know the course of treatment, etc. im certainly no expert. I know my husband lived 8 years longer with both carotid arteries 100% closed, living on vertebral blood flow. The Mayo Clinic didn’t want to do anything and he outlived a couple of his doctors there. I believe God has had great plans for you. You have many any more years ahead of you and I’m looking forward to watching. I love ya and I’ll be praying for you. Thank you for letting us know so we can pray.

I am retired, have a small fur baby. I love to feed the birds, bunny's and squirrels. Also love looking in the sky's. Enjoying nature. Life and God is good!😊

went through this with my husband 2 years ago. he did have cancer and had his prostate removed and had 5 weeks of radiation. he was clear of cancer only downfall is he has to wear depends and he is so weak and get winded easy. i believe you have cancer i have medical instincts. it's very curable and you will get through this i promise you .

Mr Tom, Cleo knows as all our fur babies know when her Papa needs some extra special loving. Please know that we're all sending you that as well 💗. You are so brave and selfless to share something so traumatic with the rest of us. I am of the same opinion that the Lord tries to give us sense, intelligence and discernment to try to make decisions to help ourselves along with our faith and love for Christ. Please try to stay positive and keep the faith because fear is from the bad side. It is human to be down about something like this for a short time. So please don't be too hard on yourself. Know that we are out here sending you prayers and so much love. Tom Petty summed it up right - The waiting is the hardest part. Love and prayers to you and the babies.❤
Had a radical prostatectomy five years ago. Strong family history of prostate cancer. No chemo or rad.
Now 73 and in complete remission.
Glad I did it.
