Ford Mondeo Mk4 parking lights not working
On modern cars there's becoming less and less fuses lots of things are being controlled by models they look for resistance if they detect high resistance they will close down to protect themselves this is one of them cases where you could be looking for a fuse and not find it and not work out what is going on in most cases it's just a simple case of resetting the model or finding the hard faults broken wire high resistance etc - Авто та транспорт

oooo this one has set me off .good vid leon but manufacturers need to stop crap like this . bulbs need to be easy to replace at the road side for the drivers safety

Great Video. So my front drivers jog light has gone. Ive changed the bulb and theres no power to it. So does this have to be reset by ford then or can any garage do it.

Cheer mate next job to tackle! I get a buzzer for about 3 seconds and the and the light on the switch flashes 3 times on the dash then nothing i will check for codes and work from there cheers mate!
Hi mate there's a couple ways of testing them if you've got an oscilloscope and the Special Trust Sonic receiver you can test the way forms or sometimes you can hear them clicking if you go to the back of the car put it in reverse make sure someone's with you holding the clutch down and the brake and you can sometimes here then clicking if one is not clicking you know that is the one that's gone

You're ok but I had to comment on this.
Had somthing similar on my 2008 mondeo estate turned out to be the light cluster connections being faulty needed new light cluster and sorted

The only thing good about a system like that... is that it can help you identify which bulb is being flagged. I've had cars with bulb out warnings on in the dash, but when looking at the exterior of the car... no bulb seemed to be out. Looking at the fault code, identifies the bulb / circuit to check.
Thomas EXOVCDS yes mate in certain circumstances I can how this would definitely be a help but still a bit much if you know what I mean
Nice video. Have you done much work on the 1.8tdci engine 125PS. No compression in any cylinder. Strange one need to look at.

No mate but you would need to reset all the codes
what if you haven`t got a fancy dancy scan tool Mr Leon sir. How does us ordinary folks do it. yes i do see it says videos for techs

And get a cheap ELM327 wifi OBDII module.
Icarus that wont read the bcm though
It'll read the BCM, but not the other modules on the MS-CAN side.
Tunnelrat does OBD devices with a switch on them, I use one meself and it works pretty nicely with Forscan. Under £20, works a treat. Does only work on Fords though - if I pop it on to my brothers Citroen, it just behaves like a normal OBD module.

I went to change a cabin light bulb and ended blowing a fuse which would not let the car start after spending a good ten minutes with the tester found the ten amp fuse changed it and she started again and all the cabin lights worked again i was surprised how blowing a fuse for the cabin light would stop the engine from starting

No fuse for the lights, really I have a Mk4 it has 3 fuse box's one under the bonnet one in the glove box and one in the boot Tip get a OBDii reader and sorted
Hi mate newer cars are even worse they are getting less and less fuses more control by modules

I have managed to find a way around it I’m sure at some point I will need to get it plugged in. But I disconnected the battery for 5minutes and then the lights came back on. And have been on since with no problems.

So there isn't much profit in a bulb change so charge the customer an hours labour to clear the computer? The more Mondeo videos i see the more i don't want one. Give me a simple old car any day!
